Me: I'm back!
Crystal:...Welcome back...
Me: *stares at Crystal* Are you still recovering from that romantic scene from the previous chapter?
Crystal: *blushes*
Me: Hmm...I thought so. Anyway, please read and review as always and enjoy the chapter.
Crystal: She only owns me by they way. Not Yugioh 5ds
Chapter 53
Akane's pov
"Crystal! Crystal, seriously, where the heck are you?!"
Yeah, here's me, trying to find a friend who ran off crying due to the Dark Signer incident we just had not too long ago. Though, I don't blame her for getting upset like that, because I dealt with this feeling before when my older brother died. Still, it's kind of a pain in the neck for me to find Crystal because she's really good at hiding (according to what Yusei and Jack say, which they weren't really kidding).
But that's not the one thing that irritates me the most. Apparently, Atlas started yelling; let me rephrase that, ranting at Yusei for making Crystal cry like that and making things worse by lying to everyone else about the outcome of the war. Good thing Aki stepped in and told Jack and everyone else that she believe in Yusei that everyone, including Martha and Rally, can come back from the darkness once the Dark Signers are defeated. And to be honest, I kinda believe it too. I mean, it's a little hard for me to explain this and I don't have any special powers to prove this, but somehow, I started to get this weird feeling that Martha, Rally, and the others are not really gone. They have their souls sucked into the Earthbound Immortals, but parts of their souls are still presence, trying to find their way out of the horrible darkness. Anyway, I still believe that whatever happens, they will come back.
I ran through the woods and started glancing around to see if I could find that certain purple duelist. I only spotted a few trees around until I saw a certain glint of purple right next to the old pine tree. Bingo! I finally found Crystal. I kept running to her, only to stop on my feet to see the dark, blue hair Dark Signer in front of her and…HE'S KISSING HER?!
I felt myself froze up and had my jaws wide opened in shock.
Crystal's pov
"Promise me…Promise that you won't get yourself involved in the Signer/Dark Singer War."
Immediately, I pulled away from Aoi in shock and stared at him in disbelief, "W-What are you saying?" I asked him in confusion.
"You heard me," Aoi replied in an unreadable expression, "Don't get involved in the war, otherwise…otherwise, you'll regret it."
I froze up and stared at him in confusion. No…I can't do that, I thought, I already made a decision to help the Signers, and I'd even promise Ruka to save Ancient Fairy Dragon. So…why?
I looked straight at him in the eyes, "Why? Why are you saying that I shouldn't join the war? What would happen to me if I did?"
There was silence between us for a moment. Then, Aoi placed his hands on my shoulders and stared at me in uttered sadness, "I…I can't tell you. It's best if you don't know."
He leaned down and kissed me on the lips again, only more passionately than the first time. I hesitantly accept it and managed to respond back to the kiss. There is something that he's keeping from me, but what? Why would he tell me do such thing?
Then, Aoi gently pulled away from our kiss and trailed his hand from my shoulders to both of my hands. I felt his cool breath on my face and his forehead pressing against mine as he held my hands firmly, "I'm sorry, Crystal," he said to me, "I can't stay here any longer."
He backed away from me, pulled his hood up, and walked away, disappearing into the black fog. I stood here in confusion and touched my lips with my fingers. That…that was definitely my first kiss. Then, I felt something on my other hand and looked down, seeing that I was holding on to some kind of cloth.
Weird. When did I have that in my hand? I gently unwrapped the cloth and gasped. Inside, was the crescent moon clip I had lost back at the Arcadia Movement. Then, I come to the realization. Aoi! How did he manage to find it?
Suddenly, tears fell from my eyes, and I clutched to my clip to my chest again. I knew I had a lot to explain once I head to the others. Then, I turned around and almost ran into a person.
"Ah sorry, I wasn't…"
"It's fine…Crystal," a female voice said. I looked up and gasped.
"Akane!" I nearly shouted, "What are you-"
"What am I doing here?" she finished for me, giving me an unreadable expression, "Looking for you obviously, because I was really worried about you when you ran out of the orphanage. And then…" she paused and turned away a bit, turning red, "I saw you and that guy, Aoi, I believe it's his name, together and…well…"
I blushed deep red and clamped my mouth, realizing what she saw from us, "You…YOU SAW?!" It's not a question, more of a statement.
Akane nodded calmly, "Yes, I saw. It's okay. I won't tell anyone about it though."
I sighed in relief and felt more tears falling from my eyes. I looked away and tried to wipe the tears away. Then, Akane stepped forward and hugged me gently, "Hey, it's okay to cry at the time like this, Crystal. Just take your time and let it all out."
I sniffed and buried my face to Akane's shoulder, crying my heart out. Honestly, this is all I need, letting my tears and my feelings go until I can't let it go anymore. Finally, I finished letting out the last tear and step back from Akane. She then rubbed my shoulder gently.
"C'mon, let's head back. The others are worried about you," Akane said to me.
I sniffed and nodded. Akane lead me back to the orphanage, while I kept my head down in thought. Aoi, what will happen to me if I joined the Signers in the war. What fate will await for me if I did? Why do you want me to stay away form it?
We only managed to get to the front door of the cabin when all of a sudden, someone had their arms around me. I looked up to see Aki holding me in comfort to which I hugged her back and cry against her shoulder. Then, she let go of me and someone took her place. That person was Jack (to my surprise). I still wrapped my arms around him, and then he let go and someone else took his place.
"Crystal, I'm so sorry for hurting you like that."
That voice belongs to Yusei. I wrapped my arms around him and buried my face to his shoulder.
"I should be the one to say sorry, Yusei," I muffled, "For saying such horrible things to you like that."
We held on like this for a few moments before letting go of each other. Yusei looked at me, worried, "Are you sure you're alright, Crystal?"
"I..." I sniffed, wiping my tears, "I'm okay now, actually."
"You're sure?" I nodded, "Crystal, you don't have to force yourself to come with us if you're-"
"No, I'm going Yusei," I told him, "I'm going with you guys to stop the Dark Signers. Besides…"
I placed my hand on Ruka's head, "I'd already promise Ruka that I'll go with her to save Ancient Fairy Dragon."
"Crystal…" Ruka smiled at me and hugged me by the waist.
"Alright," Yusei said, "I won't stop you then."
I nodded and thought for a moment before muttering, "Though, if I'm going with Ruka, I'll need my duel runner."
Yusei blinked and snapped his fingers in response, "Hold that thought, Crystal."
Yusei ran off to the back of the house, and then Akane grinned and did the same. I don't know why, so I decided to follow them, but as quickly as they left, they came back to us with a purple duel runner. I gasped. The frame that was damaged from the time I crashed during Yusei's shadow duel turned out to be fix good as new. Also, there were silver streaks on it outlined along with the midnight blue ones on the edges, meaning it must have been repainted.
"Like it?" Yusei asked as I stared at it in amazement, "While you were gone, I took the time to fix up your duel from the day you crashed. I also upgraded the systems in your duel runner, so it should go twice as fast now."
"And...I suggested Yusei that we should do a little repainting on this one, so I found this silver color that would go well along with your favorite colors," Akane joined in.
I smiled and hugged both of them at the same time, "Thank you so much you two! I love it!"
Then, I faced the twins and saw that Rua was jumping up and down excitedly, "Are you ready Crystal?"
I nodded to him and face Ruka, "Ready to save Ancient Fairy Dragon, Ruka?"
"You bet!" Ruka chirped excitedly.
I turned to my duel runner and placed my helmet on. Then, I started to remember what Aoi said to me before he left.
"Promise me that you won't get yourself involved in the Signer/Dark Singer War."
I sighed. I'm sorry Aoi, but I can't do that. Regardless of whatever good reasons you say that, I can't turn my back from this.
I straighten my gloves a bit before mounting on my duel runner. I turned to the twins, who were already on the car with Ushio. The real battle starts now!
Me: And that's that.
Crystal:...Wow, total drama that you had in the beginning.
Me: I know, but what can I say? I hope it's not too bad. Maybe I'll go work on the Ask and Torture Cast now.
Crystal: *mutters*Hmm...what's in store for them?
Me: Anyway, I hope this chapter isn't too bad. R&R as always!
