A/N: I realize that not all the prompts may seem clearly related to the drabbles. To me, it made sense. Comment if ya think otherwise, if ya like :D
Paraphrasing here because I love Ali Mukhtab's character, his cats, and his dialogue. Perfect, snarky, witty and overall lovable. I'm still sad that so many of my favorite characters had one or two appearances in Pierce's stories x.x Anywho... enjoy, read, review, flame, whatever. Let me know if you wish xD Yes, I have expanded this. No, these are all reworkings/revisions of previous pieces I had written for these prompts. I think I got through most of the 2013 prompts. I'll have to check my very used notebook again c: teehee

Ali Mukhtab had once called Alex of Tirragen "a cat I wouldn't like."
Alanna could see why. There was something dark and mysterious about Alex.
His green eyes showed a cold, calculating mind. His skill at swordsmanship was unparalleled.
But Alanna knew Alex's one weakness - pride.
It was pride that made Alex wish for power.
Pride that pushed Alex to best Alan - Alanna - in something other than swords.
Pride that made her kill him, because he would want it no other way.
It was a mercy killing. For his good and for her own.
She would never sleep at night so long as his green eyes haunted her waking hours.
He was an odd cat. Ali Mukhtab was always right about people.
But he was a cat she had once liked very much.
