Hi everyone. Sorry for the delay. I was working on some important projects. I did see the new trailer for Kingdom Hearts 3 and I'm really excited for it. I hope you enjoy this chapter.

I do not own Kingdom Hearts, Disney or any of their characters.

Sivour belongs to GeminiZKnight.

Shadow belongs to YamiChaos27.

Chapter 52: On Board the Flying Dutchman.

Port Royal…

Shadow grouchily went about his duties that he was forced into on this accursed ship. It stunk like rotten fish and moldy wet wood. He couldn't keep his balance on this stupid tub and every time he was on deck he had to watch himself to make sure he didn't fall overboard. Shadow learned that he hadn't gotten his sea legs yet, but he didn't care. He just wanted off. As if that wasn't bad enough there was a storm over them soaking him to his bones.

As he threw some junk overboard Shadow saw Sivour appear through a dark corridor. Growling Shadow stormed over to the warrior and hit him on the head. "Why did you do that? Why did you make me a slave on this haunted matchbox?"

"To save your life." Sivour said. "The cursed crew of this ship would've killed you had I not intervened."

"You call this saving? Each day is a living death. I don't see why the Organization would have use for this captain unless it's to take his heart."

"The captain doesn't have a heart. He ripped it out of his chest and locked it away somewhere. But be that as it may the Organization didn't send me."

Shadow blinked. "What?"

"I care nothing for Davey Jones, and right now I have my own agenda. Xemnas himself told me to ignore it, but I will not." Sivour folded his arms. "An old friend of mine is here. And I have a score to settle with them."

Their conversation was interrupted by a commotion further down the ship. Sivour and Shadow turned to see Jason was attacking the crewmen. He was fighting very dishonorably. He was hitting the crew in weak spots like the gut, the throat, and the groin. Shadow shook his head. That dumb kid was going to get himself killed.

"Mutiny!" One of the crew said. Jason punched him in the face. AJ and Riku tried to restrain Jason, but the boy threw them off. What stopped him was Davey Jones appearing and grabbing him by the throat with his claw.

"Mutiny is punishable by death." Davey Jones said. "You, however, are only a means of payment for Jack Sparrow."

"I'm nobody's payment!" Jason said as he tried to get free.

Davey Jones responded by tightening his grip. "Don't test my patience boy. I will kill you if you prove to be more trouble than your worth." He then turned to his crewman with the t-shaped head. "Ten lashes for the boy."

Sivour stepped up. "Let me punish him."

Davey Jones looked at him. "The Dutchman is my ship. I'm the captain, and I give the orders."

"You can give him all the lashes you want, but they will heal and scar, and eventually fade away." Sivour said. "What I can do to him is far worse. When I'm through he'll wish he got a thousand lashes."

Davey Jones considered that. "Will he now?" He turned to the crewman with the whip. "Fifteen lashes when Sivour's done." The crew all laughed as Jason was brought before Sivour. Before the teenager could react Sivour had placed a hand on his face.

Jason's eyes widened as suddenly he couldn't see the Flying Dutchman or any of the crew. The storm that was overhead was replaced by a clear sky with skyscrapers dotting… wait. This was Netokan.

"Pathetic world." Sivour said. Jason turned to see the dark warrior behind him. "Always growing, always trying to progress with no thought or consideration of what is past."

Jason summoned his keyblade. "Shut up. What do you know?" Jason rushed at Sivour, but Sivour whipped out his insanely large sword and knocked Jason back.

"Fool. That is your problem. You always try to fight your way out. You never pause to think of a plan, or what your actions might cause. Have you forgotten how many people you've hurt?"

"Shut up!" Jason ran at Sivour again, who made his sword vanish and punched Jason in the face. The boy flew back several feet, and almost fell off the platform they were on.

Sivour calmly walked over to him and picked him up by the shirt. "Do not test me boy. I could crush you without a second thought, but I think this will make you suffer more." He then forced Jason to look behind them.

Jason's eyes widened. It was him at a younger age. He was with a group of boys that had a little boy surrounded. The sight troubled Jason greatly.

"Leave me alone." The boy said. The other boys all laughed as the younger Jason knocked him down and took his stuff.

The younger Jason looked at him. "You've got no backbone. You should grow up and learn to be a man." The scene then changed to the boy crying in his mom's arms.

"A-and then, th-th-those bullies t-t-took the gift Dad gave me." The boy sobbed. Jason's heart was filled with pain, but he didn't know why. Sivour gestured to a holographic image of a man nearby.

"You see how much pain you caused that boy?" Sivour asked. "What you took from him that day was the last thing his father ever gave him. You essentially took a piece of his heart when you stole from him."

"How was I supposed to know?" Jason asked. "How do I know this isn't just some hocus pocus nonsense meant to mess with me?"

"I control chaos, not lies." Sivour answered. "What you're seeing here is the truth. You created chaos when you took something that was more than a mere trinket."

The scene changed to Jason punching a kid in a lunchroom. "Look, I said I was sorry. I didn't mean to bump into you."

Younger Jason cracked his knuckles. "Sorry isn't good enough. You have to learn that you can't just apologize and expect everything to be hunky dory." Jason ended up watching in horror as the younger version of himself beat up the poor kid. The scene then changed to the kid in the hospital while his parents were by him.

"Those people were hurt in so many ways by your actions. They were barely making enough to make end's meet for their rent. To pay for his hospital fees they had to pull their son out of school." Sivour explained.

"Some would consider that a good thing." Jason said. The scene changed to a dark alley where people were doing some deals in stuff that Jason realized were illegal. He recognized one of them as an older version of the boy he beat up.

"To help bring enough money the kid turned to a life of crime." Sivour said. "You ruined his chance for a good life and made him into a criminal who's on his way to becoming a gang leader."

"Why are you showing me this?" Jason asked.

Sivour looked at him. "To show you how being the tough guy has done nothing but hurt those you've encountered. And it's all because of this."

Jason looked to see something made of shadows approaching. His eyes widened as the shadows took the form of something that was a combination of himself and his father. The figure looked cold and cruel, and was dressed as a soldier.

"Your inner demon. Your worst fears." Sivour said. "Your father refused to let you be anything but what he wanted. He raised you to be a soldier, and crushed every dream you ever had. You fight out of anger, out of pain. You are ultimately a product of chaos."

Jason struggled. "No. I'm me."

"Deny it all you want." Sivour said. "You cannot escape what you are. You have become a brute who thinks of nothing but hurting others, and will obey his father's wishes and becoming more. You will ultimately be nothing but a killing machine."

The darker version of Jason swarmed over him. Jason struggled against the darkness, but only blackness filled his vision. Jason sunk down. Sivour was right. He was a brute. He was going to be a killing machine. That was all his father would ever allow him to be. He had a chance to become more and he blew it. Now Clair and the others are paying the price for it.

"Fifteen!" A stinging lash cut Jason in the back. He found himself back on the Flying Dutchman. Riku and AJ were holding his arms, and Jason found pain from his back rushing to his head. He also realized his shirt had been torn off and he was soaked in the rain.

"Whatever Sivour did to him must've been bad." He heard crewmen saying. "He didn't even flinch during those lashes." Riku and AJ helped Jason up, but he was out of it. They had to drag him into the ship. AJ grabbed some clothes and tried to clean Jason's wounds.

"Why didn't I learn to heal when I had the chance?" AJ asked.

Riku looked at Jason. "What happened? What did Sivour do to you?"

"He… he showed me what I've done." Jason said. "I've turned others into monsters. Ruined their lives. All because I was upset I couldn't live my life."

AJ looked at him. "What do you mean? You're the toughest guy in school. A soldier's all you ever said you wanted to be."

"It was a lie." Jason said. "My dad… he wanted me to be a soldier. Nothing else was good enough for him. Every time I tried to find something else to do… he beat me."

Riku looked at him. "He did what?"

"He said it would toughen me up. It would help me to become a man, a soldier. He told me that being a nice guy was being a weakling. That you had to hurt others to get what you wanted and get anywhere in life."

"He's wrong." Riku said. "That's only making you a servant to the darkness. That's worse than anything you could be."

"Easy for you to say. You've never hurt anyone before."

Riku looked to the side. "I did. Years ago I gave in to the darkness. I thought it would make me stronger. I was wrong. It poisoned my mind and led me to think Sora was my enemy, that I was the only one who could help Kairi. I only hurt her and others on countless worlds."

Jason and AJ looked at him. "What?"

"I was stupid." Riku said. "I've been trying to make things right ever since. But there's a part of me that's afraid the things I've done can never be fixed. That I can never find redemption. That I'm still that person who betrayed his friends years ago. Because of me Ansem almost succeeded in obtaining the power of Kingdom Hearts."

"That does sound pretty bad." AJ said.

Jason put a new shirt on. "Riku, you're ten times cooler than me. Not once have I seen anything that would indicate that you're a bad person."

"Wow. I didn't know you could give a compliment." AJ joked.

"Shut up."

"Sounds like our inner demons we encountered in Halloween Town are still following us." Riku said.

"I just wish there was some way to beat them." Jason said.

AJ looked at them. "There has to be a way. We'll find it. I know we will."

"First things first." Riku said. "We have to get off this ship."

I hope you enjoyed that. Thanks to GeminiZKnight for the ideas and the suggestions. I was planning to include the Liar's Dice game against Davey Jones here, but it didn't feel like the right way to end the chapter. Now to think of a way for AJ to confront his demons.
