Attention! Attention All Hosts!

Chapter 55: Party Day Part 2

"Kyoya might be able to help," Kyo blurted out after a half hour of us looking at suits.

"Why didn't you say something sooner?"

"I didn't think of it until now."

"Well, he'll probably do better than us," I said. "Call him over. Wait. Where is he? Is he even in the store with us?"

"Hello you two." We both jumped and I screamed while Kyo yelled about how it was uncalled for. I faced Kyoya.

"That was not cool. That aside, could you help us find a suit for Kyo?" He reached forward and plucked a suit of the rack. He handed it to Kyo. I took it from Kyo's hand and held it up to him. "How did you do that? Are you magical or something? That was cool."

"I just know my suits. Are you getting a new dress?"

"Yes. Fujitanna probably won't think my dress is good enough so I am being forced to get a dress."

"I think I have the perfect dress." I handed Kyo his suit.

"Go try it on." I followed Kyoya's lead with a smile while Kyo went to the dressing rooms. Kyoya led me to a rack of an amazingly beautiful dress. "Wow. This is gorgeous."

"You should get it. You may be going with my brother, but you still need to look great." I looked at the price tag and my smile fell.

"It's way too expensive."

"I'll buy it as a way to pay you back for the mall during summer break."

"Thank you. But I don't think this dress is enough. You did say that I would be reimbursed ten-fold. Instead of that, how about you buy me this dress and a pair of shoes to go with it?"

"That sounds right."

"I'm going to go try this on." I picked up a size 7 and went to join Kyo in the dressing rooms. Kyo was standing outside of his dressing room, trying to tie his bowtie.

"How long does it take to tie this stupid thing? I give up!" I threw my dress over my arm and stepped forward.

"Need help?"

"Yes." I reached forward and tied the bowtie into a perfect bow.

"You look spiffy. That's great."

"Thank you. Is that the dress you're going to get?"

"Kyoya found it." I stepped into my dressing room and started to change while talking. "He's going to buy me the dress and a pair of shoes since he owes me money for taking care of him while he was at the mall during summer vacation. He was stranded here."

"He could've called or paid for a cab."

"He had no money whatsoever and he didn't have his phone. The host club got him dressed and brought him here. They left that stuff at his house. Stupid zipper." I left the dressing room. "Can you zip me up?"

"Sure." Kyo stepped forward and zipped up my dress. I looked in the mirror.

"I like it. What do you think?"

"I think that a lot of guys are going to be jealous of Kyoya's brother."

"Thanks. It is nice. I feel kind of bad making him buy it."

"I want to buy it. It's my treat. It is also my choice."

"No. I can't."

"Kyon. Let me buy it for you." I looked into his eyes and caved.

"Alright, just stop looking at me like that. Your eyes show that you're begging me to let you buy it. I can't take anymore. I'll let you buy it. Just please stop."

"Stand together with Kyo."

"I don't see why." I stood next to Kyo anyways and we looped our arms together.

"Akito should wear a similar suit."

"So Kyo and I look good together with our party clothes?"

"Yes. I may just become jealous of Akito during the party."

"Why is that?"

"You look amazing and you'll be with him the entire time."

"So? It doesn't really matter. I barely know him compared to you. One night isn't going to change that."

"It will if you fall for him."

"I'm not going to date him after the night is done. My friendship with you is way more important to me than dating your brother if he turns out to be charming. I'm sure you could charm me way more than he ever could if you just tried anyways. That's just what I believe."

"Kyoya. Could you switch spots with me real quick?" Kyo asked. They both moved into the spot that the other had been occupying. "Just as I thought."

"What?" I asked him.

"You two look good together even without Kyoya wearing party clothes. It's gotta be the dress that makes whoever you stand with look great with you." I shook my head with a smile.

"Thanks Kyo. I'm not so sure though. I think you two just look great anyways. I'll get changed back into my normal clothes." I walked over to Kyo and untied his bowtie. "Now you can get changed too." I went into my dressing room and changed back into my normal clothes. I emerged before Kyo with my dress thrown over my arm.

"I think Kyo was right."

"Don't start that with me. You two look great. Get over it."

"Kyon! Are we almost done shopping? I want to eat something!" I smiled at Kyo's shouting.

"I'm going to get some shoes and then we can eat." I looked over at Kyoya. "Sorry if we're acting a little too weird. We act like ourselves times ten before seeing Fujitanna. It keeps us sane."

"I don't see how it does."

"She won't let us be ourselves. I asked to slap her last time we saw her. It wasn't only once either."

"I see. Act however you like."

"Thank you. I'll go find some shoes. Wait here for Kyo. I'll be back you two!" I ran off to find some shoes that would match my dress. I was trying to find shoes by staring at them.

"May I help you find anything?"

"I'm trying to find some shoes for this dress."

"I know the perfect pair. People always buy the shoes and the dress together. It's usually the same pair of shoes." The woman helping me took me to a display of some great shoes. The dress was a silver color. The shoes were ever so slightly lighter than the dress. It was hardly noticeable. The heel was a little taller than what I was used to, but I could deal with it.

"Thank you."

"What is the dress for?"

"I have a party."

"I hope your date is taller than you are."

"He is. He's only my date because the person I wanted to go with originally was taken. Thank you for the help though." I found a pair my size and returned to the boys. "I have the shoes. We can check out and then go eat because Kyo is starving by this time."

"Thanks for noticing."

"Let's go." We all checked out and left the store. "So where should we eat?"

"Kyoya. What do you think?"

"It doesn't matter."

"Kyon. We can go to Burger Royalty!" I smiled at Kyo's enthusiasm.

"Burger Royalty it is. Come on boys." Burger Royalty was the place I had taken Kyoya to when we were at the mall together during summer break. We had a bit of a mishap again.

"You're the two that came here over the summer," the clerk said. She visibly flinched.

"Oh no. It's ok. Don't worry about him. He's always cranky, but just ignore it."

"I am not always cranky."

"What would you like to eat?"

"You order for me."

"Order for me too!"

"We'll have three of these as combos."

"Would you like the super sweet sugar shake? It has 29percent more sugar," she told us hesitantly. I clamped my hand over Kyoya's mouth.

"Sugar shake! Yeah! I want one! Kyon! Get me one!"

"Kyo. You don't need one. You're already hyper. You're gonna be worse than Tamaki if I give it to you."

"But I want one!"

"No. I'm sorry, but we won't be having any. This one doesn't like sweets, that one is too hyper already, and I can't crash later. I'm sorry."

"Are you sure? We get a lot of good reviews." Kyo jumped on my back, throwing me way off balance. Kyoya kept me steady when my hand left his mouth.

"Get me one Kyon!"

"No! Get off!"

"Kyon!"

"Kyo!"

"Kyo. Get off of Kyon."

"But I want one!"

"Get off of Kyon."

"You can't tell me what to do with her. She's mine."

"Just get off of me! Please!"

"Am I hurting you?"

"You're squeezing the breath out!" He jumped off and Kyoya let go of my arm. "I'm sorry something crazy happens every time I come here. I'll just take these two over there." I handed the money to here once she said the total and took both boys over to a table. "Stay sitting here until I return with the order. You are a handful. I love you both, but still."

"Kyon. You just said that you love Kyoya." I felt myself go red in the face.

"I love him as a friend. You will not tease me today Kyo. I have a short temper because we have to deal with Fujitanna later."

"Alright. I'm sorry." I went and waited for the order alone.

"That was the stupidest thing I've ever done with Kyoya around." I saw the order and picked it up before taking it to the two boys I was spending lunch with that day.

"Alright. The lunch is here! Now we can eat!" I held up the cups for the drinks. "But I wanna eat."

"Do you want the usual drink?"

"Yeah." I handed Kyoya a cup and led the way to the fountain drink area. We returned after getting our drinks and sat down in a weird way. I was beside Kyoya and Kyo was across from us. That never happened. I always sat by Kyo.

"Well this is odd."

"What is?" Kyo asked me.

"I'm not sitting by you. It's like the natural order of things to sit beside each other. Oh well. It's not that big of a deal."

"Enjoy lunch," Kyo and I said together before eating. Kyoya ate too and we were silent for a while.

"Kyoya. What's bothering you?" I asked.

"I don't know what you mean."

"You're bothered by something."

"It's not important."

"Maybe I can help."

"You can't help."

"Just tell me what's wrong."

"No."

"Tell Kyo then."

"No."

"Kyoya. Listen to her. You're our friend. We want to help you."

"It's something between my family and I. You can't help."

"Kyoya. We can try."

"You won't be able to help. It has to do with the sibling rivalry, something you have never experienced."

"That's cause we fight it out."

"That's part of our skills. We use each other as practice."

"So why don't you tell us what's wrong already?"

"I will not tell you."

"Oh come on!" We tried to get him to tell us through the rest of lunch and he refused each time. After lunch, he decided that he would go home so that we could all be ready for the party when it was time. We waited for his limo driver to pick him up at our house. It didn't take long. I was proud of myself for being so normal with him that day. It would be even harder that night.

"Kyo! Where are my shoes?" I called while I exited the bathroom. I paused at the two people on the couch. "Did I miss something?" They turned around. I wasn't relieved when I saw Renge and Akito on the couch together.

"Your shoes are right here," Kyo said when he came up to me with my shoe box in hand.

"What are you two doing here?"

"I'm going to the party with Kyo," Renge answered. "We're even taking my limo."

"I'm here to pick you up," was Akito's answer.

"Thank you Akito. That's nice of you."

"Kyon. You need your make-up before you leave." I snapped my head back to look at Kyo.

"You're right. Where is it?"

"It's in the room."

"Why would you bring me my shoes if I have to go in there anyways?"

"Don't worry about it."

"Alright." We went to the room and he applied my make-up for me. I tied his tie and then we both did our own finishing touches and rejoined our dates. "Thank you for coming Akito. I'm sorry to have kept you waiting."

"It was my pleasure to come. The wait was worth it."

"Renge my dear. Shall we be going?"

"Yes Kyo." Renge looped her arm with Kyo's and they left the house.

"Shall we?" Akito asked from beside me. He offered me his arm.

"We shall." I took his arm and we left the house together. I had to stop to lock it. Then we both climbed into the limo and we were off to the party. "I'm very happy that you picked me up. I prefer you over my stepmother."

"I apologize for being so early. We have to go back to my home to get my brothers before we head off to the party."

"There is no need for you to apologize. I am perfectly fine with you being there early and I understand that we have to get your brothers."

"Yuuichi's date will also be joining us."

"I look forward to meeting her."

"She doesn't react well to commoners."

"I really don't like that word. I know I am a commoner, but that word shouldn't be used. My opinion is probably skewed since I am called a commoner so often."

"I believe that you are still in the same class as your father, even though you live as a commoner."

"Thank you. That doesn't make anything better though. Kyo and I are lucky to have our father in such a high position. Our friend Haruhi isn't as lucky."

"Is Haruhi that honor student that joined Ouran Academy last year?"

"Yes. It's a good thing that Kyo and I were in America or we wouldn't be able to go there with Haruhi. I'm glad things turned out the way they did."

"I believe that I am going to be making every man jealous tonight."

"Why?"

"I will have you as my date."

"Ah. There's your home." I pointed out the window with a small smile. It grew wider when I saw the door of the house opening. Kyoya stepped out, looking fantastic. Yuuichi and a girl stepped out together after he did. The limo slowed to a stop and the three joined us.

"Hello Kyon," Kyoya greeted as he sat beside me.

"Hello Kyoya. It is wonderful to see you again."

"The same goes to you. You look wonderful tonight."

"Why thank you. You look wonderful as well."

"Hello Kyon."

"Hello," I replied to Yuuichi with a dip of my head in respect.

"You can use my first name as if we're close friends."

"Thank you Yuuichi."

"You're welcome. This is my girlfriend, Michi Akutagawa.

"It is a pleasure to meet you. I am Kyon Madaramay."

"Hello Kyon. It is nice to meet you."

"Kyon is the daughter of our host," Akito blurted out.

"Why is she with us instead of with the host?"

"I don't live with my father."

"I think I should just leave it at that."

"Thank you for not asking about why."

"You're welcome. Is that it?" I looked out the window at my father's house lit up. I smiled.

"Yes. That's it." I felt Kyoya's hand brush against mine. I fought away the red blush and just smiled wider in response. We all got out of the car and went inside the house.

"Kyon. I'm glad to see that you made it alright." I turned to my father with a smile.

"Hello Father. It is good to see you."

"Yes. It's good to see you as well. I've missed you."

"I've missed you as well." It wasn't a lie. Since my father and I danced together, I felt like we were actually a father and his daughter. Because of that feeling, I missed him.

"Kyoya. Kyoko is upstairs. Kyon. You need to go help her with something before Kyoya can see her. Get going."

"Yes Father." I walked up the stairs and went into Kyoko's room. She looked at me with her big eyes full of tears.

"Kyon! Grandma got worse!" She ran forward and wrapped her arms around me. I wrapped my arms around her as best as I could with our height difference.

"It's ok Kyoko. She's a fighter. I think that she'll get better. It's what I believe. There's no way to know for sure, but right now, just hope that she'll be better." Kyoko let go to stare into my face. I crouched down to her level and hugged her properly. "Just don't lose hope."

"Ok. You look really pretty."

"Thank you. You look prettier than me. I believe that you will be the prettiest girl out there tonight."

"Can you help me get my hair cute? Kyo put some light make-up on me."

"Of course. Do you have any special way you want your hair?" She ran off and got a picture.

"I want it like this."

"I'll do my best to copy it." I took her into the bathroom attached to her bedroom and set to work on fixing her hair. I got it after a lot of work and smiled at her. It was pretty close. "I think that's as good as I can get it." I gave her a hand mirror.

"I like it!"

"Are you ready to see your escort for tonight?"

"Yes. Do I look pretty?"

"Yes. You look very pretty." I opened Kyoko's door and saw Kyoya looking at the pictures in the hallway. "Kyoya. Your escortee is ready." He turned to look and smiled at me.

"I can see her now?"

"Yes." I motioned him towards me and moved back. Kyoko stepped forwards and stopped by the doorway.

"You look very pretty Kyoko."

"Thank you. You look very," she paused and looked to me. "I don't know the word for boys."

"He looks very handsome."

"Right. You look very handsome."

"Thank you Kyoko. You are too kind. Do you think I look handsome too Kyon? I would like a second opinion."

"Yes. You look very handsome Kyoya."

"Thank you." The three of us left the room together.

"Kyoya. I have a request to make." He turned his head while we walked down the hall.

"What is it?" I put my mouth close to his ear so Kyoko wouldn't hear.

"Will you save a dance for me towards the end of the night?" He smiled.

"Of course."

"Thank you."

"You're welcome." The three of us descended the stairs and rejoined my father and Akito.

"The party will start soon. Tonight will be starting from the ballroom. You all should go there now."

"Yes Father." I stepped over to Akito and we went to the ballroom with our arms looped together. After a few minutes of standing in the ballroom in the spot Fujitanna put us in, my father joined us.

"Hello everyone. I would like to welcome you to my home. Tonight's party is a simple party being held for fun. It has something different happening though. Kyo and Kyon. Will the two of you step forward without your dates?" We dropped the arms of our dates and stepped forward together. We looped our arms together and stood in wait. "You two will be competing for the dojo tonight. Do you have any questions?"

"Yes Father. I have a question," I spoke up.

"What is it?"

"How will we compete?"

"It's very simple really. You will compete with your martial arts skills and with your speed at executing your attacks. You will first show me how well you fight against a number of opponents. You will then demonstrate your speed by fighting to save your dates." We both looked behind us and saw that our dates were, in fact, missing. "Any other questions?"

"Yes Father. I have a question again."

"What is it Kyon?"

"How can I show the full extent of my abilities if I'm wearing a dress?"

"You will both wear gis I have set aside for you. Our maids will take you to change."

"Thank you Father," Kyo and I said together. He nodded.

"Good luck to the both of you."

"Thank you Father." He dismissed us and we were led away to change.

Kyoya- Amii doesn't own us or OHSHC.

Kyoko- She owns me and my family!
