According to Tak and Sizz-Lor's reports to Zim regarding the training of the humans on board the ships it was quickly turning out to be a success. Only two were unable to go up into space due to some 'paranoia' issues. They were fine flying planes on Earth, but the second they started to leave the atmosphere they panicked and started crying for their mommies. Zim just informed an impatient Tak to keep them around to monitor from Earth. They know the programs so far so it wouldn't be fair to push them away at this critical juncture of his plans. Sizz-Lor just laughed a little, but was fine in the long run regarding that.
Feeling that the Resisty wasn't that much of a huge threat, but them still having their share of high profiled murderers onboard, Zim and Dai didn't wish Gaz to go in and release all her energy on them to freeze them all. Gaz naturally wasn't happy there, but as Dai explained, until she gets used to her powers and builds up that strength it is better to do it in little bits instead of what you did against Pressner. Gaz was stubborn, but she agreed to it.
Zim with Dib and Membrane's help, they built a machine that could help replicate her power and in that way those prisoners will be shipped back and Lard Nar will be crying to the other end of the galaxy.
"I thought you wouldn't mind kicking his butt personally, Zim." Dib wondered one day as he placed the final screw into the machine.
Shrugging, Zim placed his own tool away. "I want to but then I don't want to. He is really not worth my time, but we need to teach him who's boss here."
"Don't take this the wrong way, I am just curious because I know you want something more, Zim. Can you name the one thing about Gaz that she sees in you?"
He actually didn't take it wrong. He had a feeling that question would always be asked to either one of them. "She was the only one who ever bothered to listen to me and in that, she was the only one who truly saw me." Smiling at Dib's sudden open mouth. "You need to listen to your sister when she was talking to you more before. She has mentioned this to you a long time ago."
"Look, I can't deny what I saw between you both isn't real now, you know where my head was before. You know I won't stop being me in searching for the truth no matter what." Dib said earnestly.
"Oh I know that, and I don't expect anything less from you. Hey, I did tell you once that you did make life interesting for me."
Giving off a friendly little laugh there, he came closer to Zim. "And you want to be my brother-in-law?"
"Yes, but I want to ask your father for her hand. Do you think he would accept me?" He was nervous. He can handle so much, but that would break him.
"Well, my dad does seem to like you. My mom is an Irken so uhhhh..." Patting his arm. "I think you'll be fine there."
At that moment, Gaz stepped into the room, and inspected the machine. But rather then questioning them if it will work, she just placed her hand simply over it to run it along the smooth part just stopping when she reached them. "This is really good work." She said genuinely smiling at them both.
"You can just feel it like that and you can just tell?" Dib asked mildly confused.
"It'll match what I'm capable of."
"We can pinpoint how many bodies on that ship we want to make immobile." Zim added, mostly to her. "So we can freeze them all, or all but one annoying idiot."
Smiling at that thought, she crossed her arms and said mildly wickedly. "I vote for that one idea." Staring at him a few more seconds, she broke off her stare to give them both eye contact. "Dad would like to be there to witness all of this. I told him I'd talk to you first. You know how thrilled he'd be to be up there."
"I'll need to talk to him anyhow, Gaz, but I don't see a problem there with it for myself unless you both have concerns." Zim spoke.
Dib did have reservations about it, but he was already going to be there. He had to learn to trust a little more. Nodding he had to agree to it. "I need to go and do something right now. I'll see you both later."
Gaz gently held Zim's hand as he was leaving and had them blinked to her bedroom. "I felt this was the only place to be alone with you, Zim. Speaking to my parents about things. I can't tell you how nervous I felt speaking to my dad about that whole thing. Ugh! I can't believe how patient you have always been with me. I knew you loved me, I think I always knew simply because, and Zim..." Stepping back she walked slowly to her bed to sit down. "I would like to spend some alone time with you before our little battle with the Resisty."
Never one to resist her ever, he joined her happily as they lovingly wrapped their arms around one another.
Hours later on the head ship in the Massive's fleet, Zim stood beside Sizz-Lor on the bridge as they watched the approaching ships on the Resisty's side. On Zim's right stood Gaz. Normally no Elder would be on a ship before battle, the only time was if their special skill was needed from a certain member, and Gaz had that one special skill. Down below with the other crew was Professor Membrane and Dib handling the special weapon when the time came. Tak was in charge of the trainees from Earth along with any other needed tactical skills.
"How many are there out there, helmsman?" Zim called out.
"Twenty, My Tallest." Came the reply.
"Hmph... Twenty to our forty?" Chomping on his unlit cigar he started to survey some readings of his own.
"We could of brought the entire fleet in, but we know how most are needed elsewhere." Peering over his shoulder at the readings he was staring at, he added. "They have grown their fleet over the years, I have to admit."
Gaz remained quiet, she kept hearing something inside her head, it wasn't anything disturbing it was simply... Lame.
Noticing Gaz not appearing to be with them at the moment, placed a gentle hand on her shoulder to silently see what was up. Her only response was that there was something lame going on in her head.
"Almighty Tallest! There is a transmission from the Resisty's ship."
"Put it on screen."
On the screen was darkness with lighted up outlines of bodies with evil looking eyes shown on the screen accompanied with some deep breathing. Sizz-Lor made an immediate sound that was akin to a laugh for him. Zim raised his eyebrow ridge at how lame this already was looking. Gaz felt like a cliche repeating her sentiment 20 seconds earlier so she just shook her head instead. Membrane was fascinated simply because this was another alien species. Dib and Tak shared the same look of 'You got to be kidding me here." The other humans had no clue what to think so they concentrated on their panels instead. The other Irkens, familiar from a long time ago with the first time they encountered them, just thought they were back in time again until they looked back at Zim to double check before re-concentrating on their jobs.
"I see you miserable Irkens wish to wage war on the mighty Resisty." Lard Nar's voice began. "For so many years you thought you were the best in all the galaxy, well we are here to prove you wrong. With our firepower you will be no match against us and once we are done with you, we will take you alive Zim as a token of your defeat where you will..."
"Seriously, Lard, you will not be defeating us and this stupid thing you are doing with the no lights... Lame." Zim interrupted him. One more second hearing him he was going to start ripping his own head off.
Lights coming on and crew dispersing behind him, Lard Nar gave him a pouty look. "We have you out numbered Zim!" He began trying to save face. "Our twenty to your..."
"You can't possibly, in all this time, not learn to have counted? Don't you have instruments on those junkers?"
"Weren't you once in charge of the Massive for a short period of time?" Gaz asked rather silently.
Looking to the screen then to his crew members, Lard Nar thought he heard someone else speak, but couldn't quite make it out. "What was that I heard?"
"I think I can sneeze and blow this guy's head apart." Dib whispered next to his dad. Even though Membrane waggled his finger at him to keep silent, he saw a smile playing on his lips.
Listening to random remarks about Lard's intelligence level, Zim had to remain serious, even if most of the remarks were the funniest shit he has ever heard. Biting the inside of his mouth a little before proceeding on, he replied. "You have been on this ship before. You were in charge here. Something of a regret of mines. A mistake I'm rectifying now. But in this mentioning of you once being in charge of this ship, didn't you realize how many ships are in the Massive, besides the ones you can plainly see right now? In the whole armada that we got. Keep thinking on this."
"Uh." Scratching his temple, he silently conversed with someone for such a long time that everyone viewing this transmission actually was feeling forgotten.
"My brain is literally leaking out of my head right now, Zim. This is already stupid." Gaz said to him privately.
"Oh I know, my Gaz, but I'm gonna make this very short. Right now I'm going to establish this one thing." Zim assured her.
"What do you mean? NO! I don't remember at all! What do you mean they can hear us?" Lard Nar said screaming then stopped as he looked at the screen. Straightening up, he tried to compose himself. "We have ships hidden where you can't see them. Yes."
"Uh huh... Right-o. Gaz please."
Machine activating below and Gaz beginning to produce flames, the look on Lard's face was priceless. Gaz began with her eyes closed finding each body on the ship more easily then any of the machines on here. Sending that to her families machine and to their current ships coordinates, a massive light started surrounding the head Massive's ship.
"What? What is going on?" Lard Nar asked as he rose from his seat seeing if he can peer at Gaz more closely that way. "What is she doing?"
Zim didn't reply, he just shot him a cocky look as he was given a drink. With Sizz-Lor now chomping off his now lit bit, and Zim sipping his soda, he enjoyed watching everyone's incredible work at play. Even when the Resisty tried to retreat, they were instantly surrounded by his own fleet. When one ship started firing ruthlessly at the Massive, it was brought down very quickly. Those ships were full of criminals. Most will go back to the high maximum prison planet. Lard Nar and his old crew members will end up where he decided to place Red and Purple.
Gaz opened up her eyes and knowing how right they were about this sapping her strength right now, she handed the machine below an even stronger kick. The flame shooting out their ship engulfed all the ships in the Resisty's fleet. She knew only one member was to be saved from being frozen so she ended up wrapping him in a tiny safe bubble. Hearing the idiot whining and moaning didn't really make her sick. It made her laugh. Although she didn't do that out loud.
Placing his soda in her hand so she can have the extra sugar for some strength, Zim ordered the machine to be stopped after hearing the Resisty is down. "Great job everyone. Now we are to gather them up and have them put through for processing. Gaz and I are going to the lead ship to say hello to Lard Nar along with our guards."
Once on the ship, they walked into the bridge and were greeted to the sight of him trying to break out of his bubble. "I want out of here! I'm the mighty Resisty!"
Giving a simple glance Gaz's way she released the bond, Lard Nar in mid thumping, landed comically near Zim's feet. "All the murderers you released will go back where they belong."
"You will not send me anywheres. I haven't done anything." He said defiantly as he raised one hand in the air.
Mentally he was palming and hitting his own head. Mentally he was kicking even Lard Nar in his own head. Mentally he was yelling inside. But outside he spoke as patiently as possible. "You released thousands of prisoners. Different species who murdered and raped. You killed the guards in the process."
"I believe that calls for him to be on that same planet as well." Gaz chimed in.
"Hey! You don't have a right to any judgement!" Lard screamed at her.
"I'm an Elder, so I do have a right in this judgement. My mother and I have a right to this along with Zim being the Tallest." Gaz mentioned to him calmly then said to Zim. "Why does he have to have a head?"
Ignoring that question, he backed up what she stated. "And in that judgement which along with being a spy and traitor you are at a maximum sentence already."
"Well I'm not going anywhere and if I do go there I will get out. I bet my life on it." Lard promised.
"Before Gaz freezes you so we can transport you without hearing from your mouth, I have one thing I need to say to you."
Not caring what he had to say, Lard Nar focused on her. "I wish I killed you a long time ago. I wish I... Oof"
Laying him out with a strong upper cut under his ugly chin, Zim towered over him as he roughly picked him up by the scruff of his neck. "It feels so good to hit you that perhaps I will make a yearly habit of it." He spat out tossing him unceremonially onto the ground. Once on the ground he was frozen.
On Planet Irk, Zim along with Dai and Gaz announced to the citizens of their rulings regarding Lard Nar, Red, Purple and the fake Elders. Zim wanted to make Sizz-Lor another Tallest alongside him, but as per his conversation with him, Sizz-Lor said he is content in being a General. Zim was actually pleased either way there. Professor Membrane - Alex- spent half his time on Earth and on Irk. Tak and Dib did spend a lot of time with one another when she wasn't busy training new recruits. As for the humans, more were starting to become more integrated into the Massive. Sometimes a little bumpy, depending on the recruit, but all in all with Earth wanting their own flying ships one day. Zim thought at least it was progress.
Zim always felt to be the most over confident guy ever. Nothing can make him scared. Well some things did scare him. When he spoke to Membrane about asking for Gaz's hand, he was first given a long speech on the birds and the bees then evolution of the microwave oven. Really there are parts of that conversation that confused him even when Dai stepped in finally to tell him if he should say yes or no. When he gave his permission, he left his house still in a state of, 'What the hell happened in there?'
Later that night, he brought her up to her favorite look out point, which became also his favorite place. He decided to dress up in a suit. Something she gave him an odd look at in which he just simply told her that this was a date. Helping her sit down against the tree, he sat down next to her with his bundle of nerves just jumping around. Picking up a hidden device, he started to fiddle around with it. He can practically hear her giving him glances his way.
"Why did you ask me out if you are just going to play with that instead?" She tried to sound patient, but failed a little. She always will love his quirks, but after so much time with both of them being so busy with their jobs, she was hoping for more alone time with him. This wasn't alone time if he was doing that.
"Oh well... You'll see soon, my Gaz." He replied stumbling and almost stabbing his own hand with his tool.
Looking up into the trees dark branches, she said softly. "Oh all right."
"Could you hold out your hand for me." Zim requested.
Putting her hand out, she felt something like a box being placed in her palm. Turning her head, she spotted a purple box in her hand with Zim on one knee next to her. Bringing the box next to her she opened it to reveal a chocolate diamond setting. Mouth opened and eyes starting to water she looked to him to see if she was dreaming. "Zim?"
"Really our traditions are much different then that of humans, but I like this part where I give you something beautiful. I want to have both a human and Irken mating, Gaz. I already spoke to your parents and they gave us their blessing." Taking the box from her hand, he took the small ring in his hand and held her delicate hand in his.
"Gaz, you know I will be devoted to you for a long time. I always have been. Zim wants nothing more to be yours and for you to be his. So will you?"
Tears rolling down her eyes, she smiled at him and nodded her head. She was afraid to say something without it being spat in his face in a pool of tear and possible snot. Watching him place the ring on her, she felt like her heart was beating out of her chest as she stole glances between the ring being slipped on and the expression on his face as he was doing this. He looked as if he was about to do the same thing she was doing right then. Once the ring was on, she raised her hand to stare at it, then with a leap she wrapped her arms around his neck.
"You know Zim, out of anyone, you will be the only one who is able to get this response from me." Gaz whispered into his ear. "I love you so much and I'm so glad I never doomed you a long time ago."
"That is because you were crazy about Zim back then too." Spoke the ever self assured Irken happily.
So this ends this story. Perhaps I will focus on humor. Who knows?
Thank you so much for the reviews. I appreciated it very much. :)
