5YL the Adventure Begins
Part 54
By the time Blaine and his band made their way off of the stage, it didn't surprise any of them when his friends began bombarding him with what they thought of the show. The smile that crept to Blaine's face was unlike his usual one and Sebastian could see how pleased he was by their reaction. "The last thing we ever expected was to join you up on stage." Sam said to him. "While we'd been on a stage before, that was insane."
"It certainly takes some getting used to, that's for sure." Blaine said as he leaned back as Sebastian had come up behind him and wrapped his arms around him. Even with as sweaty as he was, he knew Sebastian didn't care with as tightly as he was holding him. "I hope you all know your pictures are going to be everywhere by the time you get home."
"You think?" Santana said with a laugh. "I mean pictures of you from shows pop up all the time. Though, while pictures of us might appear, people will be more fixated on the fact that Sebastian joined you on stage. Not to mention, there are going to be plenty of comments on the lyrics the two of you sang while looking lovingly into the other's eyes. Let me say it now before anyone else does, Hummel is going to be livid should he find out!" When the two simply looked at one another and smiled, she laughed. "You two don't care, do you?"
"Not really." Blaine replied. "I'm done living my life caring what he thinks, that stopped once I left him. The only thing that lyric proved, is that Bas developed feelings for me when we first met."
"And you?" Tina asked.
"I felt something, I just wasn't sure what it was, but now I do."
"You fell in love with him then too." Brittany said sweetly.
"We both fell, but love came a bit later on." Sebastian replied before kissing Blaine on the cheek. "I've got to say, those numbers from your McKinley years were something special B."
"Yea, the only thing missing from the last one was your leather pants." Tina said and immediately Brittany agreed as Sebastian's eyes bugged out. "I guess you didn't know that part Sebastian." Sebastian shook his head before turning Blaine in his arms.
"You, own leather pants?" Blaine nodded. "Why have I not seen you in them as your ass has to look fantastic in them."
"It does." Tina chimed in causing Blaine to shake his head.
"Brittany, do you agreed with Tina's assessment?" Sebastian asked of her.
"I do." Brittany's response got the rest of them laughing as Blaine had begun to blush.
"While I would love to stand here and let you continue to discuss my ass, we need to clear out so they have an easier time packing everything up." Blaine's response had everyone laughing once again as he honestly didn't seemed too bothered by the conversation. "So, as I mentioned before you're all welcome to come over to my home. Just know it's going to take me a bit longer to get there as we have a meeting after each performance."
"Alright." Wes stated. "Plus, we might not be there that quickly considering traffic is going to be insane getting out of here even with one last act to go on." He then looked around at everyone. "We should get going so Blaine and his band can go about business as usual." He then looked at Sebastian and Jeff. "Let me guess, you two are traveling with them?"
"We are." Jeff replied, not even bothering for Sebastian to answer as from the way he was looking at Blaine, he wasn't letting him go anytime soon. "So, good luck with traffic everyone and we'll be seeing you in a bit." Jeff's words couldn't have come at a better time as the next crew was making their way into the wings. That brought on quick good-byes from everyone before they all headed in separate directions. Scott and Marcus escorted Blaine and his band, while the rest of his detail escorted his friends back into the public areas.
Once they were on their way back to the bus, everyone began talking more freely and it was clear they were all running on a higher than usual adrenaline high. The longer set along with the new numbers added a special sort of energy to the performance. While they were all eager to celebrate, they were also wishing they didn't have to get up the next day to perform again. Much as Blaine wanted to wait to shower till he got back home, with having friends coming over, he needed to take a quick shower on the bus. "Did you really have no idea about what was going to happen tonight?" Justin asked Sebastian who was sitting on Blaine's bunk.
"Not a freaking clue! Did he tell you the meaning behind the songs?"
"He did, though the stories behind the Dalton numbers clearly meant more." Talia told him. "It was clear he added the last two as he didn't want his other friends to feel left out."
"That's my B for you. Do you guys have plans for once you get back to New York?"
"Besides catching up with friends and sleep, not really." Todd said with a laugh that the others aside from Morgan agreed as she and Jeff were kissing. "Do you and Blaine have plans?"
"Nothing specific, but something will be happening once he's home."
"Such as?" Talia asked.
"We have an anniversary to celebrate and I plan on doing so in a not so typical manner."
"Is that so?"
"It is, I only hope he approves."
"Who approves?" Blaine asked as he stepped out of the bathroom, fresh from his shower and eyes going directly to Sebastian. "Bas?"
"You, but I'm not saying anything else. Ready to head home Killer?"
"Am I ever." Blaine replied before sitting down beside him. "Have we heard from anyone yet?"
"Nick called me a little while ago." Jeff said as he came from around the corner with Morgan. "They are still in transit as traffic sucks. Also, your little stunt is already on the net."
"Santana find it?"
"But of course." Jeff told him. "Did I hear correctly we are heading home?"
"You did." Sebastian replied as Blaine put his shoes on. "And if you two want to disappear to Casa Sterling, we'll cover for you."
"Tempting as that might be, we'll make an appearance." Jeff stated as Morgan looked up at him. "So, let's get this show on the road."
Even with their post-show meeting and them showering, they were only getting into their awaiting cars when everyone else finally arrived at the Andersons. While it was a bit awkward for some, they were soon able to relax out on the Anderson deck with everyone else while waiting for Blaine and the others to arrive. Considering Cooper was in town, the atmosphere was light as he had no problems gushing about Blaine's performance to everyone there. For those that didn't realize how supportive Cooper was of Blaine, they were now fully aware. "I wish I had a camera when Blaine put that blazer on as you all had a look of utmost shock."
"That's probably an understatement." Trent told him. "I still can't believe everything that happened even though we knew part of it was going to happen."
"Then I'd say Blaine succeeded in what he had planned." Cooper said to them. "Hell, if any of you looked at Sebastian, you would've seen even he didn't know."
"Oh, we noticed." Nick stated. "You do realize he didn't choose those songs on a whim, right?" Cooper knew Blaine probably had reasons, he simply didn't know what they were. "His second song, Uptown Girl, we were singing it when he and Sebastian first laid eyes on each other."
"You remember that?"
"We all do." Trent replied. "As it was the first time he returned to Dalton after transferring. It meant a lot to us, as we hoped it was a sign that he was coming back. Yet that didn't happen, but after he spoke with all of us, he and Sebastian disappeared for a bit to talk." When Cooper laughed, Trent shook his head. "Not like that, they went to get coffee. Thad even walked passed them as he was curious about what was going on." That brought Cooper's attention to Thad.
"Guilty as charged. What can I say, I saw something."
"Such as?" Cooper asked.
"Just something, I couldn't really describe it back then, but after a bit I realized it was them being attracted to one another. And then, slowly falling for each other."
"Even with Blaine being involved with his ex?"
"Yes, but I don't think either realized what was happened." After that comment, all eyes were on Thad. "Don't even look at me like that as this isn't the first time I've said something of this nature. It's not my fault Jeff and I saw something the rest of you didn't!" The moment he brought up Jeff, it wasn't surprising that focus shifted to Nick.
"Don't!" Nick replied. "I'm not getting into this again as Jeff and I have had it out on this topic more than a few times, especially since the two got together." Once he spoke, Nick realized he only fueled the flames even more so he turned to head towards the cooler to get another drink. With so many people there, this was the last thing he wanted to talk about as he wasn't sure where people stood on the subject.
Considering he stayed away from everyone for a bit, it was obvious should it be brought up again, Nick would simply leave. Since that was the last thing any of them wanted, the topic moved back to Blaine and what might happen next for him. They all were so caught up in their conversations that they didn't notice Blaine and the others return. With Sebastian's arms wrapped tightly around him, Blaine leaned his head back and was met by a kiss that tasted like beer. "How long do you think we can stand here before they notice we're back?"
"Not sure, but if it's much longer, we won't be here to notice."
"Is that your way of saying I should be quiet?"
"No, it's my way of letting you know what's on my mind." Once he spoke, Sebastian leaned down and began kissing Blaine's neck. Blaine had only moved his head to the side when he saw someone standing before them.
"Bas, we have company." Blaine said to him causing him to grumble. "Bas." Sebastian was all set to snap at whoever it was that'd stopped him yet couldn't when he saw Tina. "Sorry about that."
"I should be the one saying sorry." She said as she glanced up at Sebastian who was clearly frustrated.
"It's alright." Blaine replied while placing his hands over Sebastian's that were around him hopefully calming him. "Did you have fun tonight?"
"Fun doesn't describe how I feel about tonight. You were incredible up there Blaine!"
"He most certainly was." Sebastian chimed in with, tightening his hold in the process. "I can't wait to read the reviews."
"They're already pouring in and people were blown away." Tina told them earning her a confused look. "I heard Santana and Jordan talking after Sam and I arrived, so we did some searching of our own. Not to mention, your fans are freaking out that Sebastian was on stage with you." When Blaine's smiled, Tina's grew. "You knew they would."
"We had a feeling they would." Blaine told her. "It could've been worse as it was quite tempting to kiss once we were done."
"If you'd done that, I can't even imagine what would've happened."
"And that's why we didn't, though made up for it once I came off stage." Blaine replied. "How much longer are you in town for?"
"I'm leaving tomorrow night, much to my parents' dismay." Tina said in response. "They wish I was staying through Monday, but I need to be up early for work on Tuesday. So, I'm flying back Sunday night so I can spend Monday with friends. Do you have anything else special planned while you're here?"
"No, tomorrow's performance won't hold any surprises." Blaine then looked back at Sebastian who smiled. "As for anything else, if there are surprises in store, they're not mine."
"Sebastian?"
"No comment." After he answered, he noticed that more people were looking at them. "I think you need to go mingle Killer." Blaine tilted his head, and Sebastian responded with a kiss to his cheek. "I'm okay, go." Blaine nodded before giving Sebastian a kiss as he loosened his arms from around him. Once he went to go talk with his friends, Sebastian grabbed another beer from the cooler and once it was open, took a big swig.
"Did I interrupt something earlier?" Tina asked as it was obvious Sebastian was frustrated on some level. "And be honest with me."
"Aside from me expression how I felt about what he did, no." Sebastian then took another swig as he watched Blaine with everyone else. "I just have a few things on my mind, that's all and it's easy for me to lose myself in B." It was a moment later when Tina closed the gap between them and placed her hand on Sebastian's arm. "It's nothing bad Tina, so you don't have to worry." Sebastian was still speaking when his phone went off, causing him to excuse himself. The fact that he walked into the house, Tina could tell it was serious in nature. Then when she saw him waving his arm in the air, she went to grabbed Jeff since Blaine was occupied and didn't want to unnecessarily upset him.
Seeing the way Sebastian was acting, Jeff thanked Tina for getting him before making his way into the house. "You've got to be fucking kidding me!" Sebastian blurted out, not caring that his parents as well as Blaine's were down the hall. "That's insane! What did Rachel have to say about it?" Between his words and his tone, Jeff was seriously confused as to what was going on. "Alright, thanks for the heads up Hunter as this is the last thing we needed to come home to. We'll see you in a few of days. Night!" Once he ended the call, he set his phone on the island before running his fingers through his hair.
"Is there anything I can do?" Jeff said as he cautiously approached him. "Sebastian?"
"One of the gossip rags wrote an article that I'm cheating on B with no other than one Rachel!" Jeff laughed loudly at the proclamation. "Someone snapped a picture of the two of us having breakfast before I left and blew a simple touch and a kiss on the cheek out of proportion." The fact that Jeff was still laughing only irritated Sebastian more. "This isn't funny Jeff!"
"You're right, it's fucking hysterical! You…and Rachel!" Jeff barely got the words out as he was laughing so hard he was having problems breathing. The longer Jeff laughed, the ridiculousness of the situation finally hit Sebastian and he began to laugh. "See what I mean?"
"I do. I just…don't want Blaine to have to deal with this stuff."
"Sebastian, while it might be a first, it won't be the last time it happens. Shit, Hummel thought he was sleeping with Morgan. The fact that the two of you have female friends that you're close to, it will confuse people. Ignore it as those close to you will simply laugh it off. And you've got to know Blaine as well as Thad will laugh it off. Hell, imagine how Hummel must be reacting if he saw it?" When Sebastian laughed again, Jeff smiled. "See, it's really not that bad."
"Fine, you're right. How'd you know something was wrong?"
"Tina saw you getting upset and thought it best someone check on you, someone not named Blaine. And I was the best option as everyone is pretty enamored with him at the moment."
"That's because he was incredible tonight." Sebastian said as he slipped his phone back into his pocket. "Are you going to ask Morgan to wear her new dress anytime soon?"
"Absolutely, though it won't be staying on long." The mischievous glint in Jeff's eyes didn't surprise Sebastian in the slightest. "No comment?"
"Only to be quiet should this happen once you get back home tonight."
"That's something I'm well aware of, the real fun will happen once we get back to New York."
"Tell me about it."
It didn't surprise Sebastian when Blaine came walking up to him once him and Jeff made their way outside. Even though Blaine was talking to others, he'd noticed him head into the house and then Jeff follow behind shortly afterwards. After talking with Jeff, Sebastian was going to wait to tell Blaine, yet with the way Blaine was looking at him, he knew that was impossible. So once he told Blaine what was going on, Blaine began to laugh, much as Jeff had proving he'd overreacted. From that moment, it wasn't long till they told Thad and the others who either began to laugh or were too shocked to do so. "Talk about an odd couple." Santana said through her laughter. "Do you know how Rachel reacted?"
"According to Hunter, she was shocked, but once that wore off, she found it rather amusing." Sebastian replied. "Essentially, she and I had the same reaction as neither wanted this to reflect poorly on B."
"I think the four of you need to go out to dinner once you're all back in town." Cooper told them before Thad went to call and check on Rachel. "Show the absurdity of the situation. It's the best way to shut those tabloids up."
"Your brother is right." Jordan said to them. "It's as I've said plenty of times, some people will write anything simply to stir the pot. And the more popular you become Blaine, the more crap will be written as it'll draw people to their sites."
"That's something I'm well aware of, but thank you for the reminder."
With everyone enjoying themselves, it wasn't surprising that they lost track of time and it was quite late by the time everyone headed on their way. While they'd stayed in their own homes since they'd arrived, this night was different as Sebastian headed up to bed with Blaine. Once Blaine closed the door, the two began to undress in silence as the high from the evening had finally worn off. After going through their evening routines, they finally made their way to bed. Having Sebastian curl up behind him and wrap an arm around him was precisely what Blaine needed after everything that occurred.
The next morning, neither wanted to get up when the alarm went off as they'd slept extremely well. Knowing they had a bit of time before they had to get moving, Blaine wasn't surprised when he felt Sebastian's lips against his neck. "Bas." Blaine said softly as he reached back to run his fingers through Sebastian's hair. He then felt Sebastian smile against him while continuing to kiss him every so lightly. "Bas."
"Do you want me to stop?" Sebastian whispered into his ear before resuming as he waited for an answer. A breathy no left Blaine lips before he pressed his body more firmly against Sebastian's. Even with as much as they enjoyed sex with one another, these intimate moments were something they couldn't replicate alone or through Skype. Sebastian was working his lips lower when there was a knock on the door causing him to freeze. "B?"
"Ignore it, we have time." Blaine told him in response as he slowly rolled over to face him. "Now, where were we?" That was all he needed to say for Sebastian to lean forward and for them to begin to kiss. They'd barely moved so that Blaine was lying on his back when Blaine's door opened and in walked Cooper.
"Morn…oh god…I'm so sorry!"
"Cooper!" Blaine sighed loudly in frustration as he and Sebastian looked at him, as he'd covered his eyes. "You can move your hands as we were only kissing." Slowly Cooper removed his hands from his eyes and by the time they were uncovered the two were sitting up in bed beside one another. "Why did you come in?"
"I thought you'd slept through your alarm. Little did I expect to find you two…"
"We were kissing, that's it." Blaine said to him. "Now, is there anything we can do for you or can we get ready?"
"Ready?" Cooper asked as he cocked an eyebrow.
"Yes, as you killed the moment."
"Not really, but you should know Mom is making breakfast and it should be ready soon."
"Thank you. We'll be down soon, now get out!" Normally Cooper was the type to tease his brother, but this was one of those times, he wasn't going to tempt fate, especially since Blaine was performing that day. Once the door closed, Blaine collapsed back onto the pillows. "I don't believe he did that!"
"Come now B, from everything you told me, are you really surprised?" Sebastian replied as he slowly made his way out of bed. The moment he was standing, Blaine turned and looked at him. "I got up so I wouldn't be tempted to resume."
"Sorry." Blaine said to him as he ran his fingers through his hair. "I…"
"B, you have nothing to apologize for, okay." Sebastian said as he walked around the bed before sitting down beside him. "We both know nothing else was going to happen, no matter what our bodies might've believed. Now, care to join me for a quick shower so you can tame those curls?"
"I'd love to."
With Kate making breakfast, the two made a point of keeping their hands to themselves and only taking a shower. When they made their way downstairs, Cooper gave them quite the look but didn't say anything considering their parents were present. "Has Todd come down yet?" Blaine asked as he poured him and Sebastian coffee.
"He's out on the deck." Patrick replied. "He got down here shortly before the two of you. Also, Justin and Talia are on their way over as is Morgan." When Blaine turned his head his Dad smiled. "Xavier called to make sure we were up, and Morgan called Todd asking the same thing. So it won't be long till we have a full house once more, though not as full as last night."
"Speaking of, thank you again for that."
"You are quite welcome." Kate said to him. "Now, are you coming back here afterwards or are the two of you going out?"
"Coming back here." Blaine replied while handing Sebastian his cup of coffee. "I'm looking forward to a quiet afternoon."
"Quiet?" Cooper asked.
"Yes, as it should only be us as Jeff and Morgan are going to be at his home and Todd, Justin, and Talia are going to go out exploring." While he spoke, he walked towards the back door and knocked to get Todd's attention letting him know it was time to eat. Getting to have these few days of normalcy while still having to perform was the perfect transition for going home.
