Chapter thirty-one

It took me two minutes to sniff out a mountain lion, one minute to chase it and then another five minutes to drink it and burry it in the forest so no passing humans could analyse the dead carcass. I repeated this two more times to two bears. It felt so good to not having the only option of deer.

Forty five minutes after saying goodbye to Seth I was eagerly climbing into the only narrow window on the second floor at the front of the house.

I gripped the branches of the blossom tree securely and managed to pull my legs up onto the trunk. I breathed out to concentrate and used the tree as a leaver so I managed to jump and grasp the window frame. I pushed myself up and breathed in as I squeezed through the narrow gap of the open window.

The room wasn't big but it was liveable. The night made the green walls and dark wooden furniture seem darker, it was different compared to other males room I had seen.

No uneaten food lying around or empty beer bottles however there were still the odd piece of clothing strewn over a desk chair and on the blue carpet.

I looked at Seth automatically to see that he had cocooned himself in his bed sheets. I chuckled at his bare feet hanging out of the bed.

I slowly and quietly walked over to the desk chair and sat watching him just like I had done 4 1/2 months ago when I found him sleeping on the Cullen stairway and I had carried him to my bed.

I laughed out loud as I remembered him flirting the following morning but quickly slapped a hand over my mouth to stop the bubbles of joy.

When the wind picked up and rattled the wooden house Seth started to become unsettled and started whimpering like a puppy dog in his sleep.

I frowned and leaped to close the window so some of the noise of the wind and the heavy rainfall would lessen.

I took off my trousers, cardigan and blouse and slid open one of Seth's draws and luckily found a big enough shirt. Once placing it over my body I lifted the cover from around Seth and slid in bed with him.

He automatically relaxed.

Seth breathed out a deep sigh of relief and drifted back to a peaceful state.

He snuggled up to my body so that his head was resting over my breast but he didn't flatten me. Thank god! .I wrapped my right arm around him and began to play with his hair and I dazed in and out of a daydream.

"Morning," I chirped to Seth as I felt his legs beginning to move from on top of me. Half way through the night Seth had managed to find his way completely on me, our legs became intertwined and his arms were rested either side of me so I was caged in and unable to move. I felt his eyelashes flutter against my check and he rolled off of me but because the bed was so narrow he fell on the floor with a big 'thud'.

"Ow," He grumbled and sat up. His short hair was messy and sticking up in all directions and his eyes were still half closed from sleep. He looked up at me still lying in his bed in confusion.

"Don't say you were too drunk to remember last night and I took advantage of you," I joked and sat up in his bed so I was able to see him better.

It finally clicked in his head about what happened last night and that we were now an item.

"Morning," He cheekily smiled at me in reply to my earlier greeting. I laughed with him and he came back over to sit in his bed next to me. "Did I hurt you?" He became serious and looked over my body.

"What?" I titled my head; it was now my turn to be confused.

"Did I hurt you?" He repeated and lifted my white arms to look at them closely. I guess he was looking for bruises.

I shook my arms away from his touch and lifted his chin with my finger to get him to look at me.

"Hurt me when?" I asked and stroked his check to calm him down.

"I'm so sorry I slept on top of you," He whimpered, guilt overwhelmed me.

I laughed. "Seth I'm not hurt, you didn't hurt me." I told him but he continued to feel guilty and looked down at the bed sheets.

"I'm sorry," He told me again.

"You really think I wouldn't have pushed you off of me if you were hurting me?" I asked while holding his hand.

"I'm acting silly aren't I?" He asked and finally looked up at me without me making him.

"You think?" I chuckled.

"Sorry, the thought of hurting you again and this time physically..." He began but I cut him off with a quick kiss on the lips.

The sound of "I thought I said no hanky-panky while I'm in the house," made me jump a mile away from Seth as I blushed furiously.

"Mom," Seth dragged out in a moan while rubbing his face with his hands. "You did not just say hanky-panky,"

A bubble of laughter slipped through my mouth as I also realized what Sue just said.

She looked between us knowingly when she saw me wearing one of Seth's shirts while she leant on the door frame that entered Seth's small room. She had a thin face with black eyes and the same black hair as Seth and she was dressed in a nurses outfit which I assume meant she was about to go to work. "Breakfast is ready love bugs," She called as she turned and walked away down the creaking stairs.

"Your mum is so funny," I burst out laughing at Seth's red face.

"Haha..." He faked laughter and stood up from the bed "Come on I want some food," He rubbed his hand in excitement with a big smile on his face however when I stood up from the bed and went to stand in front of him, the smile completely dropped and his eyes became possessive. "God, you're beautiful," He breathed and reached to grab my hand so he could pull me closer. He leant his head on top of my hair and breathed my scent in.

"Could I please borrow some shorts?" I asked "The only pyjamas Alice packed for me are see through lace and I doubt your sister or your mum would be pleased with that," I mumbled into his neck as he continued to hug me.

"I'm pretty sure my mum would be happy about the lace as she's eager to have grandchildren," He chuckled and I stiffened at his joke. He realized and pulled back "I'm sorry I..."

"It's fine; children are a natural part of life." I shrugged. "You don't have to step on egg shells when you're around me you know I'm not that hard to crack," I put on a brave face but inside I was screaming in agony.

"Do you want children?" He asked as I was pulling up a pair of his black shorts and tieing the string so they weren't so baggy around my waist. Thank god I wasn't that much shorter than Seth.

I sucked in my breath and shut my eyes "Can we please not talk about this now?" I pleaded with him.

"Of course," He said with sight reluctance and we both headed downstairs as I heard Leah slam the front door on her way out of the house. I caught Seth staring at the door in sadness and longing as we passed it and headed into the dining room where Sue had placed plaits of waffles and fruit. I smelled the air and they actually smelt quite good. I caught her putting the fourth waffle in the bin that was obviously for Leah.

"So what are you love bugs doing today?" Sue sang after we all finished our first bite of breakfast.

"Mum, please stop with the love bug thing," Seth groaned in frustration. I blushed.

"But Seth-y you guys are so cute together," Seth's mum pouted like a school girl and started talking in a baby voice.

"Mum," Seth dragged out again "and stop with the cute," he went red and concentrated on eating his food.

I caught Sue winking at me with a slight smirk on her face; she was doing it to annoy him. I winked and smiled back at her.

"Actually what are we doing today?" I asked Seth after we finished breakfast and helped clean the kitchen with Sue.

"Erm," he thought while rubbing the back of his neck "everyone's meeting at the beach so we could join them if you like?" He asked me.

Before I could answer his mum said a quick goodbye to us and walked out the front door.

"You mean everyone from last night?" I questioned, I really didn't want to lie to Charlie again.

"Not the parents," Seth smiled at me knowingly. "We always go to the beach when everyone's around and not busy as it reminds us of old times I guess, it's become a short of tradition." I saw the glint of happiness in his eyes. How could I say no?

"I would love to go to the beach." I nodded enthusiastically at him.

"Awesome," he whistled "I told Sam we'll pick the boy up in an hour!" He bounced on the spot and ran up the stairs. I quickly followed.

"Boy?" I said the word like a question.

"The Lamborghini," he said in a due tone like I should of understood.

I shuck my head at him and let it pass that he was planning what to do with MY car.

"I'll let you go in the shower first." He beamed at shoved a towel into my arms and pushed me into the direction of the bathroom. I willingly let him as I was excited to spend the day at the beach.

Once showered I headed back into Seth's bedroom where my suitcase full of clothes were. I really did need to learn to take clothes into the bathroom when showering.

"Damn," he looked at me open mouthed as he lay on his bed throwing and catching a soccer ball. He sat up and let the ball roll onto the floor. "White towels are seriously your best outfit," he wolf whistled.

I gulped as I saw his expanding crutch and the lust in his eyes. I wanted him now. But I couldn't...

Seth was still nervous around me and we were both uncertain on how to act around each other, this morning proved that when he felt guilty for sleeping in the same bed as me.

"I just need some clothes," I pointed my right hand to the large case leaning against the wall while my other hand gripped the top of the thin cotton towel for life.

His Adam's apple bobbed up and down and he passed me so he could shower, a very cold one it looked like. "ill leave you to get dressed long legs," he winked at me while closing the bedroom door behind him.

I fanned myself and opened the window to try and keep my cool as I was boiling hot. Get a grip Ella! I hissed to myself and sat on the floor so I could go through the suitcase that Alice and Nessie had packed.

I picked out a grey pair of leggings, a navy t-shirt and denim jacket. I loved Alice at the minute although I knew that I would need to borrow one of Seth's jumpers or I would freeze. I loved her because of the knee high boots she had folded up nicely and placed gently into the bottom of the case. They were a shiny black with red lining around the seams and had no heel (perfect for a wet beach).

As I was drying my hair Seth strolled back into the room with a grey towel covering his bottom half. "I think towels are the perfect outfit for everyone," I sighed to myself as he looked extremely scrumptious.

"What was that you said?" He smirked at me. He knew exactly what I said, he just wanted to make me blush which was what I was doing now.

"nothing doggy," I said in a sing song voice.

"Are you going to continue staring at me or are you going to let me put some clothes on?" He raised an eyebrow at me.

I mumbled a very red sorry and turned around to look out the window sharply as I still blow dried my half wet hair.

The jumper I stole from Seth was perfect for him as I knew it was true when he was eating Doritos last night it said 'midnight snaking expert,'

"Who got you the jumper," I chuckled while pulling it over my head.

"My mum got it for my dad as he would always sneak downstairs at night and eat," he replied to me with a chuckle.

"So that's where you got eating Doritos from," I said knowingly.

"I guess..." He dragged out "in the last couple of months with my dad if I wasn't on patrol with the pack I would go downstairs and eat with him, mum went ballistic but dad held her off saying i was a growing lad," he told me with tears in his eye but he shock his head to get rid of them.

"He sounds like a great man," I pointed out.

Seth nodded enthusiastically "he was,"

We walked to Emily and Sam's house as it was just down the road, we picked up the car and was soon pulling up in the beach car park where I could see everyone sitting on picnic blankets laughing and talking.

"I know this place but never been here, I painted a picture of this beach in art class." I stood amazed "you were in it in wolf form." I took Seth's hand and we strolled to meet up with the others.

"You'll have to show me when we go to London." He smiled.

I pulled him to a stop.

"You want to come to London?" I asked "but what about everyone here? Your mum?" I continued firing the questions.

He turned me around to face him and tucked a price of wild hair behind my ear "I need to go to London, Ella." He told me seriously with a straight face.

I nodded and leant in for a hug "I'm not walking away from you again and I'm not allowing you to walk away from me." I heard him whisper lightly to himself.

I gave him a squeeze of reassurance and kissed him on the lips.

"I want a holiday here first, I love this place already." I smirked and ran to the others, leaving him behind but he was soon to follow. He really was not allowing me to walk or run away from him.
