Holly flung a bicycle kick into Katniss' chest and neck, somersaulting away to allow Mikasa to jab at her with the pommel of the heavy sword she now carried. The tribute, cloaked in her evil energy, shrugged off the attacks, launching into a laterally-spinning kick that knocked both of them away.

"We can't snap her out of it," grunted Mikasa, wiping blood from her lip.

"Not with violence," said Holly. "Not this time. I'll have to talk her down!"

"You really think that'll work?"

"I have to try."

"Okay. You do that. I'll take care of-"

The scout was thrown forward by a sharp pain in her back. She reached her hand back to find that her jacket was warm, which it had not been since it was singed by Cloud's lightning strike. She spun to find Twilight standing again, already charging another blast.

"-you, apparently."

"I won't stop until every Changeling has been eliminated! Changelings are a threat to friendship everywhere!"

Mikasa whirled her new sword in a circle one-handed before bringing it to a ready position in front of her. Twilight fired her magical blast, but Mikasa allowed the blade's broad, flat surface to take the brunt of the attack, which dispersed in wispy lavender smoke. Twilight then began to charge another attack, which presented Mikasa with an opportunity to attack, launching ahead with the Buster Sword at her side, primed for a swing. But halfway to her target, she felt her foot slip- the ground was not where it used to be. She fell forward, making sure to not land on the sharp part of the sword. As effective as it was, it was also very clumsy. Twilight did not topple, but seemed equally concerned about her footing. Mikasa realized as she settled on the ground that it was not merely an error of her foot- the ground was trembling.

"An earthquake?" She quickly realized that there was more than one phenomena at play, as the clouds were shifting in the sky, their fluffy bodies stretching out into thin wisps with tails curling around some unseen source. "What's happening?"

Holly did not answer. She felt the tremor as well, but was too preoccupied with Katniss to tell Mikasa that she didn't know.

"Please, listen to me," she cried, attempting to establish a lock over the girl's arm. The power that surged over her body made her a great deal stronger, and already Katniss could hit a little harder than the elf's tiny limbs could manage. Still, Holly had to try. "You know this isn't right! It's me, Holly! Your friend!"

The girl overpowered Holly, plucking her off of her arm and shoving her into the dirt.

"DESTRUCTION HAS NO FRIENDS!"

Holly gave her a disapproving look as she hopped up from the ground. "Not with that attitude, it doesn't."

With her feet on terra firma, Holly began to ease the wings' throttle up. She crouched down, twisting her torso like a rubber band, before releasing the power stored within her muscles and the wings' motors. Most creatures were not capable of rapid upward movement, but Holly had a feeling that elves were made for it. She moved so that she struck with not only her own limbs, but the wings as well, which were more rigid than they often appeared to be.

"HOLLYCOPTER!" she announced, using Katniss' head as a springboard to vault a few meters back. Katniss stumbled backwards, clearly unprepared for the amount of hits she had just taken. Now, Holly had a chance. She darted back to the girl, threw herself onto her shoulders, and wrapped an arm around her head. Holly used her other hand to pry the girl's eyelids open, exposing her frenzied grey eyes beneath.

"Hey," Holly whispered, layering her voice with the Mesmer. "It's me, Holly. Your friend."

The same words which once did little to slow her rampage now compelled Katniss to listen. Her hands dropped to her sides, fingers falling open from clenched fists.

"I want you to listen to me. Can you do that?"

"M-messatsu," whimpered the girl.

"No, no destruction. Just listen, okay? Katniss, you need to snap out of it."

"Snap. Out," she repeated.

"That's right. You need to calm down. You don't want to kill me or Mikasa."

"I… don't want to kill you or Mikasa."

"You want to direct that anger towards Poppy."

"I want to direct my anger towards Poppy."

"Attagirl," said the elf, patting her friend's shoulder lightly. She hopped back to the ground as Katniss began to step forward, still surrounded by the energy of the Satsui no Hado. Poppy realized what was happening, and unfolded her arms from behind her back.

"Now that's interesting," she murmured.

"Okay, Katniss, here's what I want you to do. You know that destruction we talked about?"

"Messatsu!" Katniss grunted, her vocabulary greatly reduced by the two forces pulling on her mind, as well as blinding rage.

"Yeah, that's the one. Could you maybe put some of that over there, right where Poppy is?"

Katniss drew her hands back to charge up another fireball. "SUZAKU!"

Poppy let out a small laugh. "Very interesting indeed."

"HADOKEN!"

The girl threw the explosive orb forward, which expanded into a wide sphere of destruction as it hit its target. The blast took a chunk out of the city hall behind her, scattering wooden planks and glass into the air. Katniss, having put more effort into the attack than she usually would, tipped forward and fell onto her face, the Satsui no Hado fading away.

"Ha!" chortled Poppy as she stormed through the smoke, unharmed. "Did you really think that would hurt me?!"

"No," Holly replied, jumping from the smoke immediately next to the elf-thing. She slung her arms open and tackled her doppelganger to the ground. "But this will!"
