"Amy, what are you doing?" Klaus asked as he watched her put up streamers and blow up balloons.

"I'm decorating for Felicity and Stefan's party," Amy replied. "You can't have a party without balloons and decorations!"

"Maybe they don't want a party," Klaus replied. "They just announced they're officially a couple. It's not like they're engaged or getting married or anything."

"But if they did decide to do that, you'd support them right?" Amy asked, then handed Klaus Savannah before climbing on a chair to hang up some of the balloons.

"Well, yes," Klaus nodded, taking Savannah to go sit on the sofa. "But I've known both of them a lot longer than you, and this little thing you're throwing is not what either of them would want."

"Let me have this at least," Amy requested of Klaus. "If they react badly to it, I promise I won't do it again."

Just then, the door opened with a thud and Roxie strode in. "Have you seen my son?" She asked Klaus. "He's missing."

"Joey?" Klaus asked. "Why would he be missing?"

"I don't know!" Roxie replied. Then, she was momentarily distracted by the streamers. "What the hell is going on here?"

"I'm decorating for a party!" Amy replied. "Wanna help?"

"No, thanks," Roxie replied as she went to sit down by Klaus and Savannah, taking the baby from her father. "You look like you're having a lot of fun, and I wouldn't want to deprive you of the opportunity."

"All right," Amy nodded. "But you're really missing out!"

"I doubt it," Roxie replied. "What's the house being all made up for anyway?"

"Lissie called and said that she and Stefan have officially decided they're a couple now," Klaus told Roxie. "And Amy wants to celebrate that."

"You want to celebrate Felicity and Stefan with balloons and streamers?" Roxie asked Amy, eyebrow raised. Then, without giving Amy a chance to respond, she turned back to Klaus. "You have told her that Felicity and Stefan aren't 'balloon and streamer' people, right?"

"I did," Klaus nodded. "But Amy's so happy, what's the harm of letting her have fun this one time?"

"Well, I just want to go on the record as saying that I don't think it's all that nice to let Amy do something that will make Felicity and Stefan not have fun at a party that's supposed to be for them," Roxie said. "But then again, what do I know?"

"What was it you were saying about Joey being missing?" Klaus asked as he brought Savannah down to floor level so she could play with some of the colorful balloons. She reached for a pink one, looked at her father, and began babbling.

"You hear that, Amy?" Klaus told her. "Even if Stefan and Lissie don't appreciate the balloons, at least someone does."

"Well, that's good." Amy got down from the chair she'd been standing on and came over to stare lovingly at her daughter.

"Do you want to hear about Joey or not?" Roxie cried irritably. "Man, you two have short attention spans!"

"Yes," Klaus cleared his throat. "I'm sorry. Go on."

"Well," Roxie said after clearing her throat. "I got a call from Enid. She sounded like she was in tears! Apparently, Joey's run off and her sister knows all about how she brought him back to life, so apparently, the bar is closed until Hazel finishes reading Enid the riot act. Daddy, I'm worried about Joey being out there by himself. Would you help Vince and I look for him?"

"Not to sound harsh, sweetheart," Klaus said to her. "But really, I think you should stop worrying and let Joey being on his own for awhile. It might do him some good."

Roxie's mouth twisted. "You sound like Vince! That's what he said."

"Have you tried calling him to see if Joey is okay?" Amy suggested. "You got his phone number before you sent him off to Enid's, right? Maybe when he left, he took his phone too, and if you called and heard his voice, it would ease your mind."

"What a good suggestion, Amy!" Klaus praised her. "Roxanne, I think you should try that."

Feeling her mood sour because Amy'd suggested something totally obvious that she hadn't thought of herself, Roxie told Amy sharply, "No one invited you into this conversation, Amy. Mind your own business!"

"I'm sorry," Amy replied, tearing up. "I was just trying to help!"

"And Roxanne appreciates that," Klaus replied, looking daggers at his daughter. "Don't you, Roxanne?"

Roxie's jaw dropped a little. "Oh, please, Daddy! She's just pretending to be upset to get me into trouble. Who're you gonna believe? Me, your daughter? Or a woman you've only briefly been married to?"

"Her," Klaus replied immediately, without looking up. "Now, unless you want to stay and help Amy decorate, I think you should go home, see Vince, and try to call Joey. I'm sure Felicity would love to have you at her party, though."

"I'd rather swallow a gallon of vervain," Roxie replied. "And thanks so very much for your help." She then got up and strode out of the house without telling either Klaus or Amy goodbye.

Although Stefan and Felicity's party was supposed to start at seven, after seeing Amy's decorating scheme, Klaus called Stefan when Amy was out getting a cake from Selina's bakery just to give them a warning.

"She decorated?" Felicity asked in surprise. "And got cake? She didn't have to do that! It's not like we're getting married or anything like that."

"Well, it's something that made her happy and I couldn't tell her 'no,'" Klaus replied. "You'll at least pretend to enjoy yourselves, right?"

"Sure," Felicity nodded. "Of course."

"If you want to come over half an hour or so earlier to get yourself used to everything, I wouldn't say 'no' to that," Klaus added.

"I think we might do that," Felicity replied. "See you half an hour earlier, Daddy." She hung the phone up and turned to Stefan.

"Why do we have to see your dad half an hour earlier?" Stefan asked.

Felicity sighed. "Amy, as I have mentioned before, is throwing us a party. It sounds like something she really wanted to do, and put a lot of effort into, so we're gonna go and enjoy ourselves."

"Or we could just skip it," Stefan replied.

"You promised me when I first told you that you'd be willing to go through it once if once was all you had to do!" Felicity replied. "You can't take that back now!"

"Oh, yes I can!" Stefan replied. "I'm sure Sam and I can figure out something to do for the evening while you go to some horrible party."

Felicity's eyes narrowed. "Here's the situation," she told him. "Either you come with me voluntarily and at least pretend to have a good time, or I compel you to play nice and you come with me. You pick."

Stefan scoffed. "What a nice way to start out a relationship!"

"Well, we knew that with the two of us, it wouldn't be all sunshine and roses," Felicity replied. "So what do you choose?"

"I'll come with you," Stefan replied. "But I choose to be drunk, and also, just to make sure I remember nothing of this evening, you wipe my memory of it afterwards."

"Oh, come on!" Felicity replied. "I'm sure it won't be that bad!"

"I told you my choice," Stefan told her firmly. "Take it or leave it."

That was why, at around five-thirty, Felicity and an already buzzed Stefan got in her car and headed to Klaus'.

"Can I drive now?" Stefan slurred at a stoplight.

"No," Felicity replied. "You wanted to be drunk, so you're not fit to drive." But when the light turned green, Stefan grabbed the wheel, taking control of the car from Felicity and forcing them to swerve off the road.

"Damn you!" Felicity yelled at Stefan when the car landed upside down and she had to help him climb out. "What the hell did you do that for?"

"I wanted to drive and you wouldn't let me!" Stefan replied.

"Just come on!" Felicity growled irritably. She pulled out her phone and called Klaus, who came by eventually to pick them up.

"What happened?" He asked.

"Mr. Backseat Driver made us go into a ditch!" Felicity told him, nodding at Stefan. "My car is ruined!"

"Oh, that's no problem!" Amy replied, sticking her head out the passenger seat window, then getting out of the car. "I bet I can fix it!" She strode up to the wreck, which fortunately was at an empty stretch of highway, and made the car rise from the ditch, mend, and then land on the road in one piece.

"There," Amy replied with satisfaction. "That's better."

Just then, Stefan began laughing. "You coulda done that," he told Felicity. "If you still had your powers."

"You ride with Dad and Amy," Felicity replied, pushing him in the direction of Klaus' car. "I'm gonna drive there in my car by myself."

Klaus, Amy, and Stefan got to the house first. "Wow!" Stefan said when he saw the decorations. "This place is really over done!"

"I prefer to think of it as 'incredibly festive', Amy told him. A few minutes later, Felicity came in and grabbed Stefan by the arm. "Don't listen to anything he says," she told Amy. "He's drunk." She looked around. "I love what you did with the place. It really says 'party', doesn't it?"

Amy smiled. "That's what I was going for!"

There was a few more minutes of silence before Amy said, "Let's eat, shall we? I made chicken!"

"Oh, great!" Stefan said as he followed Felicity. "Chicken. Yay."

At that, Felicity let out a growl and spun to face Stefan as soon as Amy wasn't looking. "You're gonna behave yourself," Felicity said, looking Stefan straight in the eye. "And you're not gonna say another word unless it's something polite." She then led him into the kitchen. "We can't wait to try your chicken!" Felicity told Amy. "And did you say there was cake?"

"Of course!" Amy replied. "What would a party be without cake?"

Since Stefan wasn't talking, dinner was much more relaxed, and after they finished the chicken, Amy brought out the cake, giving both Felicity and Stefan the first pieces.

"Chocolate?" Felicity exclaimed. "I love chocolate!" She then nudged Stefan in the ribs. "Oh, me too," he said flatly. "I love chocolate too."

While they ate cake, Amy had to go and check on Savannah. When she returned, everyone had finished their cake and Stefan and Felicity were getting up out of their chairs. "Do either of you want a second piece of cake?" Amy asked. "There's enough."

"No, thanks," Felicity replied. "It was really sweet of you to do this for us, but I think Stefan has had enough fun for one night." That was proven by Stefan throwing up on the floor almost immediately after this pronouncement. Amy cleaned it up and then said, "Yes, it might be best to get him home and to bed."

"Yeah," Felicity replied, shoving Stefan in the direction of the door. "Thanks again for the party, Amy!"

"You're welcome," Amy called after her, feeling empty. "You're welcome. And congratulations."

Amy sighed and flopped down onto her and Klaus' bed later that night. "The party didn't go as well as I'd hoped," she said. "Although it was kind of Felicity to tell Stefan to put up with everything for my sake."

"What did I tell you?" Klaus asked as he took off his pants. "I told you they wouldn't like it."

"Well, Felicity might have," Amy told him. "If she'd been here by herself."

Klaus smiled. "Well, at least Savannah enjoyed the balloons, if no one else did."

Just then, they heard a loud pop and a cry from their daughter.

"You get another balloon," Amy told Klaus with a sigh. "You know how to handle this better than me."

Klaus nodded and went to the living room to get another balloon and brought it into Savannah's room. Before he put it in her crib, he rubbed it against her hair, which made her giggle. "There you are," he said, putting it by her side. Then he put her pacifier in her mouth, tucked her in, and shut off her bedroom light before going back to Amy.

"Is she better?" Amy asked.

"Yes, she's fine," Klaus nodded and took her in his arms. "Now the only one left for me to take care of is you."

"Oh, no," Amy replied, flushing a little. "It's sweet, but you don't have to take care of m-" She broke off as he kissed her. He was only in his boxers, so she could feel his hardness against her thigh. She put her arms around his neck, continuing to kiss him as he stripped off her clothes the best he could. Then she zapped off his boxers and they continued kissing deeply as he pushed into her, her fingers threading through his sweaty hair. "Yes!" She cried, "Yes!" While he murmured, "Oh, Amy!" Then, everything was shattered as another pop! and more cries from Savannah echoed through the house. "I'll take care of her," Amy said, sighing and putting on a robe. "I'll calm her down and tuck her in, but no more balloons, or we'll never get any sleep!"
