*THIS IS THE FINAL CHAPTER OF A FAIRY TALE NOIR PART 1. PART 2 OF THE STORY WILL BE UP IN JANUARY*

Sitting in the backseat of the dark BMW, she could feel Hannibal's strong eyes staring at her through the review mirror as she moved her own eyes onto the glass window to her left.

There is darkness all around us

Sitting in complete silence as she heard the clicking of the turn signal, she felt the vehicle turning towards Baltimore as she laid back against the headrest. Closing her eyes, she tried to steady her breathing as she folded her hands across her lap.

Don't scratch at the dried blood on your fingers Oliveah

Breathing in deeply as she avoided touching her small bump, she felt herself falling asleep from the sheer exhaustion of not just the night but from the last couple of weeks.

Sniffing as she remembered the smell of Andrew's burnt flesh, she coughed slightly as Will turned around in the passenger seat. Reaching his fingers around the side of the seat, he found her knee before slipping his fingers around her own.

I'd take care of you Oliveah.

All you have to do is say the word.

Dr. Hannibal Lecter's Residence, 51 Springlake Way, Baltimore, Maryland…

Watching the Doctor stepping aside as he pushed open the door to the house, Oliveah walked slowly across the threshold and into the darkness of the forbidding dwelling as she brought her eyes up onto the steepled overhang.

"Can you keep the lights off?"

Hearing her request as he shoved his keys into his pant pocket, Hannibal remained silent as he narrowed his eyes onto the face Will Graham, stepping up to stand at the door.

"Feel free to leave and go back to your animals in the farmhouse William" Hannibal growled as the young man straightened his shoulders.

"I'm not leaving her tonight."

Stepping into the house as he felt the Doctor's eyes on his back, Will kept his coat on as he brought his fingers up against his holstered gun.

If it comes to this Hannibal, I will shoot you to save her

To free her

Walking into the kitchen, Hannibal reached out for a single glass that rested on the dry rack. Filling it up with cold water from sink, he handed the glass to Oliveah with a firm instruction.

"Drink."

Gulping down every drop, she sat the glass on the counter as gently as she could before shifting her eyes onto Will.

After tomorrow, I will never see you again

Hearing Hannibal shedding his coat as he folded it over his arm, Oliveah watched as he laid it on the island before catching his gaze.

What happens now?

Interlacing her dirty fingers as she felt the flakes of dried blood chaffing against her skin, Oliveah lowered her eyes as Hannibal watched her movements.

Mason's blood, mixed with my own

Moving over to stand in front of her, Hannibal glanced down at Oliveah's hands before guiding her towards the sink. Turning on the hot water, he kept his hand in the stream before adding some cold as he started to move his fingers along her own, being mindful of her wrists. Closing her eyes as the pleasurable sensation moved throughout her body, she opened her eyes as she watched the water turning from red to rose to clear. Watching Hannibal's hand turning off the faucet, he grabbed a white dish towel and proceeded to dry her hands with his.

"I'll run you a bath. And we are going to have to burn your clothes. Say goodnight to Will."

Feeling the cloth leaving her hands as he kept it with him, Oliveah watched as he disappeared around the corner towards the staircase before hearing Will's feet shuffling towards her.

"Are you really going to leave with him tomorrow evening Oliveah?"

Sighing as she rested a hand on her stomach, she winced as she felt a sharp pain in her abdomen causing her to let out a slight gasp.

"Hey…hey hey hey…" Stepping up quick as he reached his hands out, Will pressed both palms against the fabric of her shirt as he noticed the panic in her eyes.

"Leave with me right now. Hannibal is upstairs, we can leave…together. We can call Jack from the road..." he began, as Oliveah stepped away from him.

"Leave for your baby Oliveah! Jesus….he's not going to keep you around forever!" Will spat in a low tone as Oliveah held her hands up.

"You have to leave now Will. Please don't come to dinner tomorrow night" she added, catching his eye as the young man whispered.

"Is he going to kill tomorrow night Oliveah?"

"No loose ends."

Pushing open the half-closed bathroom door, she breathed in deeply the fresh scent of lavender as she looked towards the vanity mirror covered in steam.

"I've started a fire in the bedroom, I'll take your clothes" Hannibal spoke from his seat on the closed lid of the toilet in the far corner.

Keeping herself facing away from Lecter, Oliveah kicked off her shoes before pulling off her black tights.

Shame, I really like that shirt

Narrowing his eyes as he sucked in a long breath through clenched teeth, his burgundy eyes fell over the young woman's skin as he noticed bruises along her hip and thigh.

"If you ask me, I think you let Mason off far too easily" he growled, standing up. "Hold your wrists out."

Slowly pushing her arms out as she breathed in the lavender, Oliveah watched as Hannibal approached her with a small pair of stainless-steel scissors. Gritting her teeth as she watched him cutting off the re-tied bloody fabric, she felt sharp pains shooting up into her forearms as Hannibal brought his fingers gently along the shallow cuts over her once puckered skin.

"The cuts are not deep enough to require stiches."

Stepping around the bloody fabric at her feet, Oliveah felt Hannibal's hand grazing her bare hip as she stepped into the hot water.

"Is, Will still downstairs?"

Nodding her head as she felt Hannibal's hands scooping scented water over her bare shoulders, she closed her eyes as she felt his warm lips moving against her right ear.

"What did you two talk about in my brief absence?"

"I told him not to come tomorrow night for dinner."

Resting the palm of his hand against Oliveah's back, he felt her tense beneath his touch as he brought his lips once more against her ear. "I told you once before Oliveah, that I will never lie to you, and I expect the same in return from you" he growled, reaching his hand out against her bare wet stomach. Tracing the tips of his fingers along the hardness of her skin, he caressed his protected unborn child as he set his chin hard.

Pushing herself up to sit in the bath water, Oliveah wrapped her arms around her bent knees as she felt the water trickling down her back.

"I felt…it kick, inside me. When Mason and his…asshole had me pinned down on the bed" she whispered, feeling Hannibal's palm flattening against her back.

"And?"

"And…everything rushed through my head. How I wanted to kill Mason, how I wanted to cut off each and every piece of his flesh and feed it to him. How I wanted to re-create Andrew's burnt corpse using Mason…" she began as Hannibal rose to his feet, picking up the bloody bandages.

"Then why didn't you?"

Again, the Devil is on my shoulder

"Because I'm going to become a mother."

Narrowing his eyes at her surprising response, Hannibal gathered up her clothing in his hands and said nothing as he left the room, striding across the hallway and into the bedroom. Standing in front of the fireplace, he tossed everything in at once and watched as the flames engulfed the fabric.

"You will be a mother Oliveah." Tucking his chin into his chest as the flames reflected from the pupils of his eyes, Lecter heard soft footsteps sounding on the carpet from the back staircase near the on-suite bathroom.

"You shouldn't be up here."

Hearing Hannibal's low growl as she stood nervously near him, the young girl kept her hands at her sides as she noticed flames crawling over pieces of fabric among the stones.

"I know. But I…I heard Will Graham's voice and Oliveah's in the kitchen…."

"Oliveah is pregnant? Are you the…"

Turning slightly, Hannibal felt the side of his face warmed by the fire as he set his eyes firmly on the young girl's face.

"Yes, I am the father."

Swallowing uneasily as she kept her eyes fixed on his profile, the young girl reached up and gently scratched at the side of her throat before tracing her thumb nail along the puckered skin that would always serve as a constant reminder that she was on borrowed time.

"What did they talk about Abigail?"

April 30th

The Next Day

6:12pm

Walking down the staircase, Oliveah heard a loud thump to her immediate left as she noticed the half open study door. Pushing it open wide, she watched Lecter pulling open a small safe door on the far wall above the world globe.

"Do you have your bag packed?"

Hearing the Doctor's question, Oliveah gave a slow nod of her head as she watched his fingers separating official documents before noticing a small box. Staring at the box, she felt Hannibal's eyes glancing in her direction as he pushed the box closer towards her fingers.

"Open it."

Touching the lid with the fingertips of her left hand, she picked it up and felt her stomach lurch as she noticed the nestled gold ring.

"Hannibal…"

"It belonged to my Mother."

Nearly fumbling the box between her fingers, she didn't dare touch it as the simple design of the diamonds and bent gold band spoke of a different time.

"It's beautiful."

"I was going to give it to you, the night you decided to hide out in New York City from me."

Slowly folding down the lid, Oliveah placed it back on the dark wood desk as she remained silent.

"What do you mean…you were going to give it to me?" she whispered, watching as Hannibal stuffed the loose documents into a brown leather bag.

"What I mean Oliveah, is that I was going to ask you to be my wife that night."

Hearing his confession as she placed a hand on her shirted stomach, she let her fingers slide down against her hip before taking a step back from the desk.

He won't even look at me as he's telling me this

"Was this before, or after Randall Tier?"

Taping his thumb against the edge of his desk as he finally brought his eyes up onto her face, Hannibal studied her eyes before looking down to her hands.

Hands that killed Randall Tier and Abel Gideon.

"Before."

Swallowing the lump in her throat, she knew things had changed forever between them after he had admitted to sending Tier after Graham knowing full well that she had also been in the white farmhouse that fateful night.

He was going to ask me to marry him

Was going to…

Hearing the deep ring of the doorbell, Oliveah flinched as she turned towards the study door.

Reaching for the small box, Hannibal tucked it into the bag before pushing closed the drawer to the desk.

"Our first guest."

1 hour later…

Drying her hands on the hand towel to her left, Doctor Alana Bloom moved in closer to the large vanity mirror as she poked at the corner of her eye, scraping away a smudge of dried mascara.

How different would it have been if I hadn't hired you Oliveah?

Would I be seated at his right hand at the expensively set dining room table?

Would I be the one sharing his king sized bed?

Hearing the soft sound of a door closing out in the hallway, Alana opened the bathroom door and peered out into the dim light darkness. Rounding the corner of the banister as she heard soft classical music coming from downstairs, her eyes caught movement from the sliver of open door that led to Hannibal's bedroom.

Feeling her breathing quickening as she looked behind her and to the staircase below, she swallowed hard before turning around.

No cell phone

"Shit."

What are you thinking Alana?

Walking across the hardwood floor, she laid her fingertips lightly against the door before pushing it open. Narrowing her eyes as she took in the silhouette of a single person sitting upright on the edge of the bed, she nearly did a double take as the young girl raised her face, half illuminated by the moonlight.

"Hello Doctor Bloom."

Feeling her throat go instantly dry with the soft-spoken words of the young girl, Alana felt tears clouding her blue eyes.

"You…you can't be Abigail Hobbs" she whispered, taking a step into the dark bedroom as she watched the girl rise onto her feet. Breathing quickly as she started to walk quickly, Alana ignored the tears streaming down her cheeks as she tightly gripped Abigail's shoulders, feeling the warmth of her body.

"Jesus…you're alive!"

Hearing the woman's tearful cry as she felt Alana's fingers against her warm cheek, Abigail felt the knot in her stomach twisting painfully as she knew what she had to do.

I know what I have to do

What Doctor Lecter wants me to do

Staring into the woman's face with wet eyes, Abigail slowly opened her mouth to speak as she felt her fingers curling at her sides.

"Yes, I am. But you're not."

Watching Bloom's eyes narrowing in confusion as she felt the woman's hands resting on her jacketed shoulders, she felt the guttural growl escaping from her throat as she quickly rushed forward, roughly pushing the Doctor who had tried with all her might to fill the motherly void back against the glass window. Feeling the glass shattering and giving way behind her back, Alana felt the scream tearing through her throat as she failed to grab onto anything to prevent the fall onto the solid concreate patio below in the fenced in back yard belonging to Hannibal Lecter.

Standing as still as stone as she peaked out through the broken window, Abigail lightly brought her fingers up against the wooden frame being careful of the shards of glass that stuck out as she brought her eyes down onto the still body of Alana Bloom.

Did you die instantly Doctor Bloom?

Staring down at the lifeless looking woman lying directly below, Abigail felt herself starting to shake as she brought her hands up against her mouth, biting her teeth down hard against her skin before turning around quickly at the sound of a footstep. Hearing the sharp crunch of a piece of glass beneath the heel of his shoe, Hannibal kept the bedroom light off as he spied Abigail standing at the window, catching the slight breeze against the curtains as they half wrapped around the young girl's body.

"I did what you asked me to do" she choked out, keeping her hands against her mouth to keep quiet as Hannibal stepped up beside her. Leaning out the window, his eyes rested onto Alana's body as he spied a pool of blood around her head.

"I'm proud of you Abigail."

Hearing Lecter's words as she felt his hand on her shoulder, the young girl began to cry uncontrollably as Hannibal pulled her against his chest, holding her tightly as she sobbed into the fabric of his shirt. Resting his chin on the top of her head as he listened to her cries, Hannibal narrowed his eyes on the edge of the made-up bed as he remembered their earlier conversation the day before…

(Flashback)

"What did they talk about Abigail?"

Feeling the warmth of the fire against her tight clad legs, Abigail took in a deep breath as she felt Hannibal's eyes intently searching her face.

"Will asked her to leave with him, for the sake of the baby. She also told him not to come tonight to your dinner."

"Anything else?" he questioned, feeling his inner animalistic instinct growing intently with the desire to gut Will Graham.

"She really looked like she wanted to leave with him."

And for you Oliveah?

Your punishment?

"Will also said that you were not going to keep Oliveah around forever" She spoke up, staring into his face with nervous wet eyes.

"What does he mean by that Doctor Lecter?..."

"My father never said that to me" Abigail sobbed, feeling Hannibal's hand lightly caressing her upper back as he let his left arm slowly fall to his side. Reaching into his pant pocket, he pulled out a Wusthof steak knife that he had sectioned off from the set downstairs and held it flush against his thigh.

"That he was proud of me" Abigail moaned as Hannibal ran the skin of his thumb against the blade as he held the young girl close.

"I am not your father."

Pulling away slightly as she heard Hannibal's low cold growl, Abigail's eyes went wide as she felt an intense heat around her throat followed by sharp pain. Throwing her hands up, she felt the thick wetness of her own blood spilling over her fingers as she started to choke on her words.

"Why…"

Falling down onto her knees, Abigail threw her eyes up onto Hannibal's face as he stared down at her with no emotion, stepping back from the blood that fell onto the carpet and floorboards.

"No loose ends" he spoke, catching Abigail's eyes growing wide.

He had heard Will and Oliveah's conversation

He only wanted to know how much I had heard

Falling face first onto the floor as blood pooled around her face, the young girl slowly stilled as Hannibal heard her final breath leaving her body. Coming to stand beside Abigail's head, he nudged her shoulder with the toe of his shoe before stepping over her body. Unfastening the buttons of his white dress shirt, he grabbed a replacement from the closet before throwing the blood-stained item onto the floor of the dark bathroom.

Two guests down…

Setting out the last of the wine glasses onto the dining room table as she heard the light pattering of rain growing heavy against the closed glass double patio doors, Oliveah felt a chill running over her shoulders as she heard a single set of footsteps on the floorboards above her. Raising her eyes as she followed the movements, she winced as the doorbell rang deep within the bowels of the house. Hearing footsteps descending down the staircase, Oliveah rounded the corner just in time to see Hannibal holding up a hand against his lips.

Wait…did he change his shirt?

Throwing her eyes up to the top of the stairs, she heard no other signs of movement as she fixed her eyes back onto the back of the Doctor.

"Did you change your shirt?"

Ignoring her question as he walked down the hall, Hannibal stared intently at the glass beside the wooden door as he tucked his chin into his chest. Pulling open the door as the young man on the stoop adjusted the collar of his wet jacket, Hannibal felt his lips twitching in a small grin as he took a step backwards.

"I'm glad you could make it to dinner William."

Opening up two bottles of wine, one red and one white, Oliveah held the stainless-steel corkscrew between her fingers as she heard footsteps approaching the dinning room. Watching Will Graham slowly rounding the corner to stand in front of the smirking Doctor, she felt the corkscrew falling from her hand as she stared into Will's eyes, wetness stinging at the corners of her own.

He didn't believe my warning

Will…

Catching slight movement behind the young man, Oliveah felt her mouth falling open as Will's eyes went wide. Hearing the low groan escaping from his throat, she watched the deep red blood staining through his shirt as Hannibal brought a boning knife cleanly across the man's abdomen from one side to the other. Feeling her lips quivering as she watched Will fall to the floor in front of her, Oliveah winced as she felt another sharp pain against the side of her stomach. Throwing a hand onto her stomach, she fell to her knees before crawling to Will's bleeding body.

"You crawl to his feet Oliveah, yet you'd never crawl to mine" Hannibal growled as he stepped up closer to Will's thigh, watching the young man pressing his hands firmly against his intestines to keep them inside his body.

"How can you say that…HOW CAN YOU FUCKING SAY THAT?!" Screaming at the top of her lungs as she covered Will's shaky bloody hands with her own, she raised her eyes and saw nothing but pure darkness radiating from the Doctor's.

"I have grown extremely tired of you running to Will. Extremely tired of you alternating in your decisions…NOW MAKE YOUR CHOICE OLIVEAH!"

Lightly rapping the knuckles of his right hand against the wooden front door of the house, Jack Crawford listened for any hint of sound as he felt cold rain drops running down the back of his neck. Slowly pushing open the door with the palm of his hand, he pulled out his standard issue and flicked off the safety as he kept his shoulder close to the wall. Moving down the dark hallway towards the faint light at the end of the hallway, Crawford kept his eyes trained on the ground as he lightly stepped around a broken vase. Hearing muffled voices coming from the dinning room, the Federal Agent reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out his mobile phone before dialing 911.

"This is Agent Jack Crawford, FBI. My location is 51 Springlake Way, home of Doctor Hannibal Lecter" he breathed as Kade Prurnell's voice sounded in his head…

"I know the Ripper is responsible for the death of Beverley Katz, and believe me Jack, I want nothing more than to see him spend the rest of his life in jail, but your found less suspicion is not helping anyone. Especially you…"

Are you one hundred percent sure that Hannibal is the Ripper?

"Yes" he whispered to himself as he thought of Oliveah Adler.

"And you, are his accomplice."

Hearing a loud shout from the kitchen area, Jack slowly rounded the corner of the dining room and saw no one seated at the decorated table. Slowly shrugging off his dark navy blazer, he laid it over the back of a chair as he noticed the closed pull-down blinds over the patio glass doors.

Hearing the sound of labored coughing coming from the kitchen, Crawford ignored the patio doors as he brought his gun up once more in front of him.

What am I going to find Hannibal?

Oliveah?

Make a choice

Make a choice

It's not just a choice between Will and you Hannibal

It's our child

It's our baby's life!

My baby's life…

Feeling Will's bloody fingers losing their strength around her hand as she continued to press firmly on his exposed abdomen, Oliveah stared up into Hannibal's dark eyes as he stood against Will's thigh with the boning knife clutched firmly between his fingers.

"You want me to choose? Choose between living and dying Hannibal? I've told you before I am not afraid to die" she spat, feeling her teeth starting to chatter as the Doctor offered out a single hand towards her.

"Then live with me Oliveah. This is the las time I will ever ask you" he growled, catching her wince as another sharp pain in her stomach nearly took her breath away. Throwing a bloody hand up against her stomach, Oliveah lowered her eyes onto the floor as she heard soft footsteps coming from the doorway. Raising her eyes slowly, she felt herself go completely cold as Jack Crawford rounded the corner of the kitchen, keeping his shoulder against the wooden frame.

Spying the barrel of the gun pointing straight out, Oliveah tried to steady her breathing as she slowly rose to her feet, flexing her bloody fingers along her thighs.

"Both of you put your hands up…NOW!"

Feeling Hannibal's eyes on her face, Oliveah dared not to look in Jack's direction as she knew very well his gun was pointing towards her.

"Doctor Lecter, Ms. Adler, step away from Will Graham and put your hands up!" Jack bellowed a second time as Oliveah brought her eyes up onto Hannibal's face.

You can read him like a book

And he the same to you

Watching the Doctor taking in a deep breath through his nostrils as he closed his eyes, Oliveah could feel the heat radiating off his body through Will's spilt blood as she knew what was going on in his mind.

He's a monster of the very worst kind

"You smell…liberated Jack" Hannibal spoke calmly as he slowly opened his eyes directly into Oliveah's.

"It's always going to be like this, isn't it?"

Blinking slowly as he heard Oliveah's voice from the past entering his mind, Hannibal felt his lips twitching before letting out a low growl.

"PUT YOUR FUCKING HANDS….."

Spinning around quickly, Hannibal barely winced as a single gunshot rang out, echoing off the walls and island, striking his right shoulder as Oliveah felt the scream ripping out her throat. Expertly throwing the boning knife in his hand, he watched with pleasure as it struck Jack's chest, deep and in center mass as the Agent dropped his gun. Slumping down onto the ground as he sat at a painful angle against the kitchen wall, Jack clutched at the knife handle that stuck out of his chest as he coughed up a mouthful of blood.

Ignoring the pain of the gunshot that tore through his shoulder, Hannibal stepped over Will's bloody torso as he caught the young man's blue eyes losing a bit more life.

"The human body has roughly five liters of blood Will, and I would say that you have lost a little more than half on my kitchen floor" he spoke calmly as he moved to the island, pulling out a second knife before moving past Oliveah without touching. Watching Hannibal striding over towards Crawford, she held her breath as the Doctor grabbed the officer and brought the knife blade straight into his throat.

"There is blood all around us."

Hearing Oliveah's whisper as he slowly turned around, Hannibal ignored Jack's hand on the bottom of his pant leg as he kicked it aside before walking back towards the center of the kitchen. Picking up on the distant sounds of sirens, he narrowed his eyes as he came to stand directly in front of the young woman. Feeling Hannibal's hot breath as he stared down into her face, Oliveah winced as she stared at the knife dripping with blood. Looking down at the bodies of Will and Jack, she raised her eyes slightly to the ceiling of the second floor.

"Is Alana dead?" she whispered, hearing the approaching sirens growing nearer towards the house.

"Yes."

Taking a step backwards as Hannibal threw out a hand out, she tried to twist her arm out of his grasp as he threw his other hand out, tightly gripping the front of her throat as he started to gently squeeze with his fingers.

"You really have no fear of me Oliveah, and that is not wise" he whispered squeezing her throat a bit harder as she brought a hand up against his. Staring down into her exhausted face as he licked at the blood that had splattered onto his lower lip, Hannibal narrowed his eyes as he slowly released the pressure of his fingertips from around her hyoid bone dropping the knife from his hand. "In the end, you won't choose me" he growled, taking a step backwards as he allowed his bloody fingers to fall, leaving thin trails of blood along her skin.

Holding her breath as she stood as still as stone, Oliveah watched as the cannibalistic serial killer moved around her without a further word. Watching him rounding the corner of the kitchen and out of sight, she took slow shaky steps just in time to see Hannibal grabbing Jack's blazer from the back of a dining room chair before throwing open the glass patio doors.

Let him leave

Glancing down at Alana's bloody face as she gulped in utter terror, Hannibal stepped over her broken body and disappeared into the darkness of the night as Oliveah came to stand at the threshold of the doors, throwing a shaky hand out against the frame to steady herself. Hearing Alana's sharp inhale of air through multiple broken ribs as her eyes picked up on the flashing of red and blue lights, Oliveah stared down into the woman's face as Bloom used up the remainder of her energy and breath to let out a blood curdling scream.

Johns Hopkins Hospital, 1800 Orleans St, Baltimore, Maryland…

2 hours later

"You were the only one in that house who made it out not half dead, or dead."

Hearing the red headed woman's voice from above her, Oliveah stared at the table top and held her breath. She had been permitted to shower at the hospital after quick check for injuries. Dressed in pale blue scrubs with her wet hair tied up in a bun, Oliveah felt the cold in her shoulders and her stomach lurch.

"Agent Crawford had his jugular punctured nearly bleeding to death. Will Graham was nearly gutted and is in the ER being sewn shut, and your mentor Dr. Alana Bloom is…well they're not sure yet if she is ever going to walk or breathe on her own again."

I know.

I know all this.

I saw them all.

I saw what Hannibal Lecter did…

"Are you listening to a damn word I'm saying to you? Why the hell did Dr. Lecter not try to kill you? Are you his accomplice?" Kade Prurnell spat as she slammed her hand down hard on the table.

"Was Abigail Hobbs also his accomplice?"

Snapping her head up with the mentioning of Abigail's name, Oliveah felt her mouth falling open as the palms of her hands started to sweat.

"Abigail Hobbs was in the house?" she questioned with shaky words as she felt her stomach lurch.

She had revealed everything about herself to the Doctor before and after she had learned he was the Ripper.

She had seen too much.

Not just the events of the night, but too much over the last year.

She had seen death, blood, bodies, and tears.

She had watched Hannibal Lecter kill with his bare hands.

She herself had taken two lives.

"You can choose not to talk to me now Miss. Adler, but we will investigate and we will find out what you are hiding."

Hearing Prurnell walking towards the closed door, Oliveah closed her eyes and touched her stomach.

"I'm not hiding anything Ms. Prurnell, and if you don't mind, I would like to be at the hospital for Will and Abigail when they get out of surgery" she began as Prurnell cut her off.

"Abigail Hobbs is dead. She bled out from having her throat slashed by Dr. Lecter in your bedroom."

Swallowing hard, Oliveah lowered her head before bringing her eyes up onto the table top.

Hannibal had brought Abigail to the house without telling me

Only to kill her

No loose ends.

"You will be watched Miss. Adler. Doctor Lecter will be found by the FBI in a matter of hours, and you can be sure, we will be watching your every move" Prurnell spat as Oliveah rose to her feet.

Twenty minutes later…

Downing her second plastic cup of water in less than two minutes, Oliveah checked around her before moving a hand up beneath her scrub top and against her stomach. Rubbing the hardness of her belly, she bit back the mixture of tears and raging anger that screamed in the back of her throat as she suddenly kicked her foot out, slamming a chair against the wall.

I need air

Rising to her feet as she felt lightheaded, she took a moment to steady herself before grabbing the sweater that had been given to her by one of the victim service volunteers at the hospital.

Until they speak to Jack Crawford, they have nothing to tie me with Hannibal

They don't even know that I am pregnant

Slowly pulling open the room door, Oliveah saw no one in the hallway as she quietly slipped out, making her way towards the stairwell.

Where in the hell are you going to go Oliveah?

You have no home to go to

Very little money

Nothing that isn't being shifted through in Hannibal's house

And Hannibal is...

Stopping in the stairwell halfway down to the bottom floor, Oliveah grasped the hand railing a she repeated her words out loud.

"Hannibal is…"

He's gone

He's fucking gone

He chose for you

"I am going to pay the price, and so are you" she whispered, touching her stomach before quickly descending the rest of the steps towards the door that would lead her outside. Feeling the light rain against her face as she spied a taxi cab, Oliveah rushed forward and pulled open the back door, shielding herself from the rain as the driver turned around to look at her.

"I want to go to Wolf Trap in Virginia."

Turning around in his seat, the driver scoffed as he stared at her with wide eyes.

"Are you crazy? That's over an hour's drive away!"

Tucking her chin into her chest as she focused her eyes hard without blinking, Oliveah reached into her scrubs pocket and pulled out her wallet.

"There's a one-hundred-dollar tip in it for you."

Narrowing his eyes as he heard her words, the driver adjusted his aged light grey page boy cap as he clicked his tongue against his cheek.

"Let me see the cash."

Will Graham's Residence, Wolf Trap, Virginia…

2 hours later

"I could live here."

Staring up at the dimly lit white farmhouse, Oliveah caught sight of her shadow being illuminated against the side of the house as the taxi cab backed down the gravel driveway before turning on the main road to head back to Baltimore. Listening to the fading engine until she was surrounded by complete silence, Oliveah took a slow step forward as the yipping sounds of a fox travelled from across the field.

This is the only place I ever felt truly safe

Walking up the wooden steps before standing perfectly still on the porch, she stared at the closed front door as she reached a hand forward. Wrapping her fingers around the knob, she twisted only to find it locked as a collection of dog barks and whimpers sounded from the other side.

I know guys

"I'm sorry."

Hearing the words falling from her lips, Oliveah felt the tears pooling in her eyes as she turned away and slowly walked along the wooden railing. Stopping as she laid both hands on the wet railing, she closed her eyes as the events of the night started to catch up to her.

"I'm so sorry Abigail."

It was all she could choke out as she remembered the smile on the young girl's face the last time, she had seen her.

"I'm free Oliveah…"

"You are free now Abigail" she whispered, tasting the salt of her tears as she felt her knees starting to shake. Sliding down onto the wet wood of the patio boards, she threw a hand onto her stomach as she gritted her teeth hard against another sharp pain.

He's left you

He left you and your child

"What in the fuck is going on?" she choked out, feeling a sudden wetness between her thighs as she felt lightheaded.

Delayed shock?

It's not labor pains, I'm only three months

Slipping a hand into her tights, she moved her fingers along her inner thigh just as a rumble of thunder sounded off in the dark distance. Feeling wetness, she pulled her fingers away and narrowed her eyes as she tried to angle them.

Blood

Feeling her breathing growing heavy, Oliveah slammed her fist down onto the wooden boards before letting out a loud scream.

Did you really expect Hannibal Lecter to be here waiting for you?

Hearing the voice in her head as the tears streamed down her cheeks uncontrollably, she leaned the side of her head against the railing as her eyes caught sight of a blinking light high up in the sky.

A plane

"Is that you Hannibal?"
