"Wha- You're cheating," Fang declared with no small amount of exaggeration; like it was the most horrible act of treason she'd ever witnessed.
Lightning pulled her bottom lip between her teeth, thumbs never pausing as they manipulated the controller with almost inhumane precision and deftly pummeled Fang's character into the virtual concrete.
As her health dropped to zero and her character collapsed, Fang groaned and dropped her head against the couch . Her head popped up in the next second, and she eyed Lightning quizzically. "How did you even do that?"
Going through several menus, Lightning flicked the analog stick a few times to highlight the specific moves of her chosen character. "It's this last one here. And I combined it with that one."
Fang pouted. "You're not supposed to memorize that gibberish. Just smash the damn buttons."
"Like I smashed you into the ground?"
Reaching across the small space that separated them, Fang attempted to pinch an evasive Lightning in the side and wipe that devious smirk off her face. "You're no fun," Fang accused, delight in her eyes.
Keeping a hand out to protect her side, Lightning still smiled as she said, "Fine, I'll choose a character I know nothing about this time."
"Not from over there, you're not. Get back here." Fang jabbed a finger at the couch cushion next to her.
Lightning pulled her feet onto the couch and huddled against the arm rest. "No, you attacked me."
Fang growled and reached for her. After a bit of a scuffle, Lightning ended up seated between Fang's legs, effectively trapped as the woman wrapped both arms around her and hooked her chin over her shoulder. "I gotta watch and make sure you're not cheating."
"Tch."
They started the next round, tapping buttons at a furious speed. While they fought toe-to-toe for most of the battle, Lightning's eventual loss was arguably due to either Fang trying to steal her controller or the occasional nibbles on her ear.
Lightning scoffed, jabbing Fang with an elbow hard enough to make her grunt. "And you call me a cheater."
"Just evening the odds, sunshine," Fang said with a kiss on her neck.
"Right."
