Marcy waited for her family to return from their morning routines. She'd gotten done early because she couldn't wait to give out the presents.
Mal & Mike were the first ones done after her & they walked out together. "You know Quinn is gonna take the longest."
"We'll leave her ass then." Marcy pulled on her high pony.
"We can't." Mal told her. "We need the stuff from her car."
"We can pick locks." Mike leaned against the trunk of Travis.
They chuckled as Puck & Mercedes walked over. "Is Quinn really still in the locker room?!"
Puck smirked. "I knew we'd beat her."
Mike took out his phone & called her. "Hurry up before we leave you!"
Mal chuckled as he hung up. "Did you just call her, yell at her then hang up?"
Mike looked down. "Maybe."
One of the Cheerios giggled.
"There she is." Marcy pointed. "Okay, let's go."
When Quinn reached them, she punched Mike in the shoulder. "Jerk!"
He laughed as he opened Rhonda's trunk. "Yeah."
Mercedes texted to make sure everyone was in the choir room.
Soon they had everything & locked up their cars. They walked into the school & straight to the choir room.
Mr. Shue was the first to see them. "Hey, guys! Just in time! How was your-?"
"Presents!" Mercedes, who held little (thanks to her family), presented them grandly. "Everybody sit!"
Stupefied, their friends sat with their mouths hanging open.
Rachel recovered first. "You guys bought us presents?"
"No, we stole you presents." Quinn rolled her eyes. I don't know how Mercy talked me into buying her a gift!
Mercedes elbowed her. "There's a lot so you need to stay seated so we can get everything out."
A few minutes later, the Cheerios left. The family stood in front of the room. "Who wants to go first?"
Santana jumped up before anyone else could raise their hand (though by seconds really). "I do. Me."
Marcy laughed. "This is going to be awesome."
"Do you want to open any of them now?" Mercedes asked.
"Hell yeah!" The Latina shouted. Mr. Shue couldn't even reprimand her.
Mercedes gestured to the bags. "These are yours."
"All of those?!" Santana's eyes widened.
"Yes." Quinn bounced on her feet. "C'mon! Open them!"
Santana dragged her bags to her chair. Everyone crowded around to see. "Is this a real Dior gown?!"
"Duh!" Quinn was offended.
"Real diamonds?!" Santana lifted out a tennis bracelet. Her father rarely let her get real diamonds. Something about earning them.
"Of course!" Mercedes waved a hand.
"Vera Wang?!"
Finn whistled as his girlfriend took out a lot of clothes & jewelry. "Wow."
"Can Tina go next?" Marcy asked, excited. "I want Tina to go next!"
"Why?" Mal smirked.
"Because one of the things I got will make her leave you," She pointed to Mike. "& run straight to me." She pointed to herself.
Mike scowled. "No!" Not again!
"But I want-" Tina was so sad. She wanted presents.
His scowl deepened. "Fine! But you have to promise you won't leave me for her!"
"I promise." She swore.
Quinn pointed out her gifts but Marcy brought over the one she was talking about. She lifted it from the slim cardboard box. Tina screamed.
"Is that a painting?" Artie pushed his glasses up on his face.
"Yup." Marcy danced in place. "It's a Monet."
Sam's & Karofsky's jaws dropped.
"You got her a painting?!" Mr. Shue almost slapped himself.
"Yup." She danced again. "I want to show Sam what I got him but I'm sure other people want to go."
Sam was feeling very ungentlemanly. "Who cares?!"
"Welcome to the Darkside, bro."
Tina couldn't close her mouth. "This is insane! You bought me a tiara?!"
"Yes." Mike flushed. Mercedes had talked him into it & he was regretting it now.
Tina threw her arms around his neck. "I love it! I love you!"
Suddenly, he regretted it much less.
"I say Shauna should go next." Mercedes decided.
"Me?!" Shauna couldn't believe they bought her anything.
"Yeah. I got you this." Mercedes couldn't lift the box so Azimio did.
Shauna opened it & almost fell out. "A real 1920s typewriter?!"
"Marcy saw it & I knew it was for you." Mercedes smiled.
Shauna almost burst into tears. She continued opening her gifts as Puck pointed to Artie. "You're up, man."
Brittany dragged his presents to him & helped him open them. "Are these lights to go on my spokes?"
"Yeah." Marcy leaned over. "It's for your birthday. They spell out "Artie" in flashing lights."
"Thanks!" He couldn't believe it.
"I know you usually like those… particular sweater vests but I thought these would be more… fitting for someone your age." Quinn began as he lifted a few. "Do you like them?"
"Awesome!"
"I knew you'd like the pants." Mercedes bragged. "We're gonna have you looking as dapper as you are."
"Blaine next." Mal pushed his gifts his way.
Blaine perked up. "Thanks, guys. You didn't have to get me anything."
"Shut up & open them!" Marcy jumped up & down. "Sorry. I kinda like giving presents if you haven't noticed."
He laughed. "I noticed." He opened a box & lifted out a pocket watch. "Did you get me this?"
"Yes. I figured it would be your style." She grinned.
He loved it. "Thanks!" He opened more boxes. "Who got me the bowties?"
Puck raised his hand. "I also got you socks cuz you don't seem to own any."
Mercedes facepalmed. "I got you the gel."
"I love you." Blaine said immediately as he tried to find it.
"Okay. Brittany." Quinn pointed.
The taller blonde raced to her presents. "You got me a stuffed Lord Tubbington?!"
"I figured you might one to carry around school." Mike told her.
"Thank you, Mike!" She hugged him. "Who got me these?"
"Me." Mercedes grinned. "I know you & Tana love sky high heels."
"& hats." Mal said. "I got you a lot of hats."
"Finn." Puck waved him over.
Finn was too excited. "Yeah! This watch is awesome!"
"A lot of your ties match Tana's dresses." Quinn told him.
"& those shoes are real leather." Mike said. "Sorry, Rachel."
She pouted. She wanted her turn!
"Ellen." Mal grinned.
The redhead hopped over. "I can't believe you bought us stuff! I wish I had gone with you! I-" She stopped as she screamed. "Who got me this?!"
Marcy looked over. "Me."
The girls looked over & collectively jumped back. "Oh my goodness!"
Marcy took the necklace from Ellen & fastened it around her neck. "Don't lose it. It cost almost a million dollars."
"What?!" Mr. Shue almost had whiplash. "You bought her a million dollar necklace?!"
"Yes." She blinked.
"This stuff is real?!"
"Yes." She cocked her head.
It was a good thing he was sitting down. "Where did you go?!"
"Milan."
"Carry on." He had to take a few breaths.
"Azimio." Mercedes called. "Your turn."
His eyes widened in surprise. "Thanks." He grabbed his bags. "You got me a suit?!"
"I figured you'd need a few once you become famous." Quinn grinned.
"This belt is awesome."
"You know." Mercedes blushed.
"These are for Lila & those are for Gomez." Marcy pointed.
"You got stuff for our siblings?!" Santana almost cried.
"That's really nice, guys." Artie added.
"We know." Mike shrugged. "Sam, you'll have to come over to get Stevie's & Stacie's."
Sam's mouth dropped.
"Kurt?" Mal waved him over. "You're gonna have a cow."
Kurt had to fan himself as he opened his presents. "Diva! Did you really buy me all these scarves?!"
"No. Mike did. I bought the hats, belts & watches." Mercedes shook her head.
"Thank you so much, Mike!" Kurt danced around.
"Sam." Marcy held out a box. "You're up. Open this first!"
He obliged happily. "This statuette is real?"
"Duh. Do you like it?"
"I love it! Wow! Thanks!"
"& this is for your birthday." She held out a bag.
He opened it & almost fainted. "Do you want to be my best friend?"
"No." Mal elbowed her. "Or okay."
"Mr. Shue!" Puck clapped him on the back.
You could have knocked him over with a feather. "You didn't buy me anything!"
"Yes, we did!" Mercedes sang. She so loved giving presents.
"Oh my!" He lifted out vests. "You guys, thank you!"
"We also got you this." Quinn handed him a bag.
He pulled out a plate that said World's Best Teacher. He nearly teared up. "Wow. I don't know what to say."
"Say you like the watch I got you." Mal grinned.
Mr. Shue looked through more boxes & bags until he found a few. "You guys are very generous."
Mike waved the words away. "Karofsky."
The boy amble over for his gifts. "I know this is from Marcy!"
Her mouth kicked up. "How?"
He glared at her. "Because you are the only person I told about these paints being sold."
"Oh. Then yeah, you're right."
He laughed. "Who got me this? What is it?"
"It's canvas." Mercedes looked worried. "Do you not use canvas?"
"I do but it's expensive. Thanks, Cedes." He hugged her.
"Wait!" Marcy held out a hand then looked for a particular box. "This is your artist present."
He opened the box to reveal a slim wooden box. He undid the brass to unveil rows upon rows of watercolor pencils & pots of watercolor paint. "Whoa!"
"They're specially made so you'll know if someone stole one."
"I'll kill 'em." He swore.
"I don't know if you're trying out for rugby again next year but in case you do, I got you the cleats." Mal told him.
"How did you know my size?"
"I didn't. I just guessed."
Quinn really didn't want to but she was the last one left. It really wasn't a surprise. "Rachel."
The Jewish girl beamed. She skipped over to the remaining pile of presents. "I can't believe you guys did this."
"Better start." Marcy whispered to Quinn, who laughed.
It became apparent why when Rachel lifted out dresses that were more… revealing than her usual attire. "Guys? You bought me…"
"Adult clothes?" Quinn quipped.
"I'm not saying you don't have style, Rachel." Mercedes soothed quickly.
"She's just saying it's stylish for toddlers." Marcy smirked.
Rachel lifted out more dresses, tops, skirts & shoes. They were all more age appropriate than her current clothes. Then she got to the boxes with jewelry. "This is truly beautiful. Who bought this?"
"I did." Mercedes took the golden shooting star necklace from her & set it around her neck.
"I got you this." Puck found the box with a Star of David inside.
"Thank you." She smiled.
"I got you this at a silent auction." Quinn said.
Rachel opened the box to reveal a copy of Funny Girl signed by the entire cast. She screamed. "Barbara held this?!"
"Yes."
Rachel embraced her. "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you, Quinn!"
Marcy handed over a box that wasn't in the pile. She didn't want everyone else to see it. "You don't have to open it here."
Rachel frowned in confusion. "Why not?"
"It's kinda personal." She shrugged.
Rachel opened it & gasped softly. "I don't understand."
"Usually a mom is supposed to give it so you might want to give it to her & have her hand it back." She rubbed the back of her neck. "I just thought it would make you feel better about-"
She was cut off as Rachel threw her arms around her neck. "That is the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me."
"Air! I need air!"
"Sorry!" She let go sheepishly.
The breakfast bell rang.
"Forget art club!" Sam snapped.
"Yeah!" Mercedes pouted. "We haven't even given you the best gift yet!"
"There's more?!" Mr. Shue was still opening boxes.
"Yeah." Quinn danced around. "Our grandmother's famous orange cake!"
"The one you'd sell somebody for?" Artie wanted to make sure.
"Sam gets to take one home to his family & Tina has one to herself." Mike started.
Family?Sam mouthed.
Tina squealed. "I have a whole one to myself?!"
"It comes with terms." Puck mock whispered.
"What about us?" Finn dragged the subject back to his involvement with food.
"There's this one & cannoli for every one else." Mercedes set the cake on the piano.
Mal grabbed the container full of cannoli. "She made a lot."
"Can we leave them in here during classes?" Mike asked.
"Sure!" Mr. Shue wanted to get his hands on a cannoli.
"Everybody take one & we can have the rest after school." Mal said.
"We really need to go to art club." Marcy reminded them. "Grab a cannoli & let's motor."
"Where are we gonna put our stuff?" Tina wanted to know.
"Everybody has cars." She inched towards the door. "Sam, put your stuff in Quinn's car. Tina, put yours in Rhonda."
"What about me?" Ellen asked.
"Here." Marcy threw the keys to Travis to Mal. "Now let's go!"
The art kids left.
"Oh." Mercedes remembered. "We didn't leave you out, Brad."
The quiet man rejoiced in his gifts.
Finn ate his cannoli quickly. "Man, that was good! When can we have cake?"
"Who has a knife?" Mercedes looked around.
"Sam." Quinn giggled. "Marcy just gave him one."
She pouted. "Poo!"
"We can just have it after school."
"As an incentive to rehearse well." Mr. Shue said, standing up. "This week's assignment is dance. Songs that make you get up & dance."
