"Just because you own the place doesn't mean you get to drink all your inventory," Zoe remarked, watching her boyfriend stumble into the kitchen, closer to the afternoon than the morning.

"Owner," he grumbled pointing to himself, leaning against the counter. "Can take days off others can't," he told her, falling into a chair.

"Right," Zoe laughed, pouring him a cup of coffee. "But you still have responsibilities," she told him, sitting next to him.

"I know this," he said, breathing in the rich scent of his coffee. "And I'm not slacking," he stated matter of factly.

"And I know this, but you're going to feel like crap for a good chunk of the day," she softly told him, carding her fingers through his hair. She didn't care that he had a fun night of drinking with his brother; she didn't control him, and she didn't want to control him, that isn't what their relationship is about. She did, however, wish he would've picked a night to get wasted where they didn't have such a huge town event to attend and be a part of.

"Yeah, well your Planksgiving can go plank itself," he mussed, taking a sip of his coffee.

"Oh stop it," she told him lightly, pressing a kiss to his cheek.

"What?" He chuckled only to wince with the way it hurt his head. After living in Bluebell for so long, he had forgotten what it was like to have a raging hangover, as the need to drink himself under the table didn't appeal to him. But, last night his brother happened, and he had to prove that little brother could out drink older brother, and today he's paying for it dearly. "Obviously, I know the history of today, but even you can admit to how weird it is," he said, shutting his eyes.

"It's unconventional, yes, and strange, to a degree, but Planksgiving is this town, Wade, and we can't ignore that in favor to be like the rest of the country, I happen to like and cherish the way we do things in Bluebell," she told him. She may not have traveled all over the country, but she is certain that there is no other place like Bluebell.

"I'm not disrespecting today; it's this towns' history, and it's great and amazing and I can picture a young you running around looking for a treasure chest full of gold, and you know what?" He asked her. Zoe hummed, amused to what he was saying. "I totally forgot the point I was trying to make," he laughed under his breath.

"Once you remember you know where to find me," she told him, pressing a kiss to the top of his head. "Shower, eat greasy food, sleep, make some weird concoction to drink, do whatever you need to do to feel like Wade again, do it, and I'll see around, if you're not out there by 4, I'll be coming to drag you out there, hungover or not," she informed him.

"Got it," he told her, flashing her a smile. "Just be gentle when you come back to drag me from our home," he told her.

"I make no promises," she warned him, collecting what she needed to help with the days' festivities. "Your pirate wear is hanging on the back of the bathroom door," she told him. Wade said nothing, giving her a thumbs up as he took a drink of his coffee.

Stepping out of her house, she smiled seeing the pirate décor everywhere. One look around the town square, saw that the canon is in place, a few different pirate statues throughout the town, the ton of pirate flags hanging from poles and store fronts. And one can't miss the big red and blue pirate ship with yellow trim. A chest of treasure sat by the ship. The treasure being chocolate gold coins for kids and anyone else that wanted a handful to take as they pleased. She walked around town square seeing if she could help out anywhere, but everything so far was covered.

"Please tell me that your boyfriend is in bad shape like my husband," Calla pleaded, seeing her friend.

"Oh I am certain he is, I am sure that if given the choice he'd sleep until tomorrow afternoon," she informed her friend. "Does that sound like your husband?" She questioned with a small laugh.

"Yes it does," Calla nodded, with a small laugh. She had thought the days of those twos competing on who could drink more were long gone, like years gone. Even so, she knew how it is to want a night without any responsibilities, because she felt the same way, and now she could lure this over her husband's head for a spa day. "You guys go all out for this holiday don't you?" She asked, looking around the town, seeing everyone dressed up in pirate gear, and noticing for the first time that Zoe wore a pirate dress.

"It's the most regal holiday we've got. Did you hear the story?" She asked her friend, ready to drive into the history behind Planksgiving.

"Oh yes, she did," Earl smiled approaching them with a 15-month old Finn, dressed in the cutest pirate outfit.

"Yeah, Earl retold the story, but you had told me the first year we were friends because you were missing this holiday like something fierce," she smiled. "Remember, we decorated the dorm in pirate décor," she said, getting Zoe to laugh.

"I do remember that," Zoe nodded. It had made that Thanksgiving more enjoyable when she could have a mini Planksgiving in the city.

"I do love this holiday," Earl smiled, hugging his grandson. "Jackie would've gotten a huge kick out of it," he said, his smile fading lightly.

Zoe smiled at Earl. It was hard to dislike Planksgiving and Earl was given a holiday where he wasn't reminded about his late wife, and to Zoe that had to be a blessing in a disguise, in some small way. Unlike the other holidays, Planksgiving is one where he isn't overwhelmed with memories, as he gets to make new memories of a new holiday.

"I'm going to take my son, and we're going to check on my husband, and we'll be back to enjoy this holiday dressed more appropriate," she commented, taking her boy from her father-in-law, wanting to get Earl's mind from the dark path it might be going down thinking about his late wife.

"And I'm off to see if they need help deep frying the fish," Earl smirked, heading off.

"And I'm off to work and taking to myself," Zoe sighed.

"Now that sounds like the Zoe Wilkes I remember," a male voice sounded from behind her.

"Jonah," Zoe smiled, hugging him. "Where have you been?" She asked, walking to the practice, Jonah falling into step with her.

"Doctors without broader's," he commented, nodding. "The opportunity presented itself and I couldn't pass it up," he shared.

"I can remember when we were kids, and you decided back than that if you ever became a doctor that you would do that, and I am happy for you, Jonah," she told him.

"It was great but I am happy to be home and to get settled back in here," he told her. "I am hoping that Brick lets me work at the Practice because we all know that man deserves to have a break and enjoy his life," he told Zoe. She knew all too well that Brick needed to have a little more life than what he has at the practice. He's still young, and he deserves to have a chance at finding love once more.

"That mean you want to make Bluebell your home again?" She asked him.

"I do," he nodded. "Ironic I couldn't see that this place was home until I was half way around the world," he laughed softly.

"I always knew Bluebell was home, but I didn't really feel it until things went south in New York, and this was and is the one place I feel safe and can be myself. Honestly, you can't find one normal person in this town; we all have to be wacky to live here and that makes this place home," she smiled, looking out over the Bluebell that had been overtaken by pirates. Who else would have such a unique holiday? And embrace that uniqueness?

"I can't argue with you," Jonah laughed, pulling the door to the practice open, letting Zoe go in first.

"Thanks," she smiled entering and heading to her office, to see if there was anything she could do while she waited to see if she'd have any patients.

"We feeling better?" Zoe asked, sitting on the steps next to her boyfriend, resting her arm on his leg, her head falling to lay on his shoulder.

"A little," he replied, wrapping his hand around her knee. "Might not be up to my full Wade-ness, but I'll manage," he tacked on, pressing a kiss upon her head.

"You don't have to come if you're not feeling up to it," she told him. She would hate for him to endure the town when he didn't feel good. Didn't matter that he's still dealing with a hangover.

"I'll be fine," he said, kissing her head. "I would feel horrible for not showing up even for a few hours," he shared. "At least I'm better off than Jesse, he walked by looking like a zombie pirate," he chuckled lightly. "At least I get to be a dashing pirate," he winked. Zoe lightly shoved him. "Are you going to deny it?"

"That would be a lie, if I denied how dashing you looked," she replied, with a small dusting of a blush on her cheeks. Wade chuckled, kissing her cheek. "Mmhmm, I'm gonna need to be seeing your brother walking around like a zombie pirate, might be the first one ever at Planksgiving," Zoe laughed. "Your dad sure loves this whole thing," she smiled.

"It's refreshing," Wade said. "It's the only holiday we get to celebrate that Ma didn't have some over-the-top tradition for. I'm certain that if she saw this, we'd have some sort of tradition, and it's hard to say what, because with that woman, you couldn't guess what she was to do next," he smiled. "This whole Planksgiving stuff would have been her jam. We would've had pirate pancakes and treasure chest waffles with blueberries and chocolate chips," he mussed, liking the very idea if that.

"When I was little my dad made me a pirate themed breakfast; it would be different each year," Zoe shared with him.

"We're going to be those parents, aren't we?" Wade asked, not even thinking about the words said.

"As cheesy as it is, I hope we are," Zoe smiled. "I want them to have memories like that, even after they're grown, and we're gone, so they can look back and smile at the happy times we gave them," she answered fully for him.

"Then that's what we do," Wade smiled, thinking over what Zoe said. "Though we have to embarrass them, that's every parents right," he chuckled, thinking back to the few times his parents had done so, before the worst hit them and things changed drastically for the worst.

"After the embarrassing stuff my dad did to me, you best bet that I'm getting payback on our kids," Zoe stated. Wade smiled, liking the way our kids sounded coming from his girlfriend.

"Are you going to tell me the embarrassing stuff Harley did to you?" He asked, giving her knee a gentle squeeze.

"Yeah, I'll pass on that," she laughed.

"Okay, I'll ask Harley when we talk next," he smirked.

"And he'll be more than happy to tell you every story; he can never get enough of embarrassing his daughter," Zoe sighed.

"Okay, how about we go join the celebration before it's over?" He asked, getting up, giving Zoe a hand to pull her to her feet.
