Upon entering the village, the team found itself greeted by a pair of older Pokémon.

"Who are you, travelers?" the first, a Roserade, asked.

"And what brings you to our village?" the second, a Lilligant, asked.

As thoroughly as possible, Luke and his teammates asked both questions, introducing themselves and giving a summary of their current mission.

"If it's information you're looking for," the Roserade began, "you might want to speak to a few of our older residents."

"She's right," the Lilligant said. "Some of them have heard so much it's a miracle they haven't forgotten half of it."

"Before we get too far ahead," Luke cut in, "we're going to need somewhere to stay while we're here, as well as somewhere we can replenish our supplies."

"Oh, right!" the Roserade exclaimed. "My apologies."

With that, Team Fireheart gained a pair of escorts, and in time, gained a better understanding of how the village was laid out while gaining some new friends. With the pressing concern of where they'd spend the night addressed, the members of Team Fireheart were free to explore Northwind Village.

After spending the rest of the day speaking to the residents of Northwind Village and gathering supplies from the local marketplace, Luke, Blaze, and Kinesis dispersed for the night.

The next morning, Team Fireheart reconvened and was given the chance to meet with the village chief.

"Greetings," the elderly Pokémon, a Shiftry, politely said. "I, Nightleaf, understand you three have traveled a great distance, but what I do not understand is why you've traveled so far. Tell me about yourselves and your journey."

Upon request, Luke and his companions introduced themselves and described their mission.

"It is a pleasure to meet you three," Nightleaf began, "and there is no doubt your task is a difficult one."

"So can you help us?" Luke asked.

"I can," Nightleaf answered.

"You know about where we're headed, then?" Blaze asked.

"Of course," the village chief began, "but your destination…" He sighed. "Many other Pokémon have passed through here seeking Regice and his companions, but none have returned successful."

"That's not good," Luke whispered to his teammates.

"Now hold on!" Nightleaf cut in, alerting his guests. "I can still offer you some advice: always stay alert and pay very close attention to your surroundings."

"Thanks," Luke said, politely.

Blaze and Kinesis echoed Luke's gratitude, earning a calm smile from the village chief.

"So how would we go about finding Regice?" Luke asked.

"From this village, depart from where you entered and follow that path straight ahead. In time, you will reach the Iceberg Tundra. Once in that territory, you must find a cluster of large rocks which stands out from those around it."

"That's just like with Regirock," Luke noted.

"Indeed," Nightleaf nodded, "but regardless, that region will test your strength. With that in mind, you would do well to assess the area as you feel necessary."

The members of Team Fireheart each voiced their gratitude, and after some final preparations, such as studying their map again, the adventurers were on their way toward the Iceberg Tundra.
