Episode 55: Son Interview, Part 6
"Hello, everyone!" Nightcloud meowed. "I'm sure you're all glad to see I survived the last episode, right?"
Yellowfang glared at her co-host. "You called the police on my son!" she snarled. "Now he's in prison for life!"
"Good. That's what he deserves," the black she-cat hissed.
"I could fire you, you know," Yellowfang growled.
Nightcloud's eyes widened. "Brokenstar was so nice for letting me live," she mewed nervously. "I'm sure he was only attacking me for fun."
"I thought so," the gray host meowed.
Nightcloud regained her composure, turning to face the audience. "Well, we have a better guest for this episode- my Breezy-kins!"
A dust-covered Breezepelt strolled onto the stage, shaking dirt from his dark pelt.
"Breezy, what happened to you?" his mother gasped. "Do you need Mommy to give you a bathy-wathy?"
"Please, Mother, just let me live my life!" Breezepelt groaned.
Yellowfang raised her eyes, curious as to why her guest was so filthy. "So why are you all messy?"
Breezepelt sat down in a green plush chair. "Heather and I decided to take an all-natural approach to life. We no longer wash ourselves, but rather let nature run its course. The rain washes our fur now."
"You'll be out in the rain?" Nightcloud cried. "Breezykins, you'll catch a cold! Tell me you'll wear your raincoat!"
"Cats don't wear clothes, Mom!" the tom reminded her.
"You will if I tell you to!"
Yellowfang decided to change the subject. "So how are things with Heathertail?"
"Just fine," Breezepelt meowed. "We bought a nest high in the mountains away from all other cats. We've decided to live the peaceful lives of ascetics, with only each other for company."
Nightcloud's eyes widened. "But what about my grandbabies?"
"Heather and I aren't going to have kids," the guest informed his mother. "We've decided to adopt orphan birds, squirrels, and rabbits instead."
"So no grandbabies?" the black she-cat mewed quietly, her green eyes tearing up.
Yellowfang decided it was time for another interjection. "So you're going to raise your own food, Breezepelt?"
The tom shook his head. "Oh, no! We gave up meat! Heather and I only eat plants now. We don't feel it's right to kill helpless little animals."
"That's...weird," Yellowfang meowed slowly. "You do know we're cats, right? We're carnivores."
"I'm a vegetarian carnivore," Breezepelt announced.
Nightcloud suddenly let out a wild screech, leaping at her son and pinning him down. "YOU WILL GIVE ME GRANDBABIES!"
"Mom, get off of me!" Breezepelt hissed, struggling under his mother's weight.
"Only if you agree to give me grandbabies!" Nightcloud hissed.
Tansy sighed, knowing she would have to intervene. "Okay, Nightcloud, let him up."
"No!" the black she-cat wailed. "My son isn't obeying me! I must punish him."
"He's all grown up, Nightcloud," Tansy meowed patiently. "It's time to let him go."
The she-cat moved away from her son, trying her hardest not to cry. "#nograndkitsfornightcloud #nightcloudissad #crowymusthavemorekitswithmesoicanhavegrandbabies"
The camera-cat just sighed, knowing that the episode had come to an end. "Okay..."
