Chapter 56: Something New Part III
A/N: Sorry guys. I have been in very poor health for the last week. I will try to keep it to a minimum... for all kinds of reasons. )
Saturday 10:35 AM
Doris' hand reached out across the bed, the slow lazy smile on her face quickly fading when she felt only empty sheets and cool blankets. She pushed herself up on her elbows, blinking tiredly as she glanced around the room; a strange sadness filling up her chest.
So this is what it felt like to wake up alone...
The brunette sighed.
She had a lot of penance in her future.
"Blake?" She called out half-heartedly, not expecting a response.
"Yes?"
Doris squeaked when the redhead appeared in the doorway wearing her robe and carrying a bed tray. "Oh..." She ran a hand through her hair. "Hi?"
Blake cocked her head slightly to one side as she stepped closer. "Why did that sound like a question?"
The mayor only looked at her, shaking her head slightly.
"You thought I left... didn't you?"
Doris heard the honest curiosity in the other woman's voice and shrugged as she sat up; paying no attention to the blanket that fell down to her waist. With a sigh she finally whispered, "It's what I know."
Blake stepped closer, trying not to stare at the delicate breasts on display as she placed the tray across the brunette's lap and sat down beside her. "It's what you knew... before you knew me."
Doris swallowed, running a hand through her hair as she tried to think of something to say. "So… uhm… how did we get up here?"
The redhead smiled as she reached out and tucked a rebellious strand of hair behind the Mayor's ear. "After our..." She flushed. "Third round... the couch seemed a bit overdone." She rubbed her tailbone pointedly. "And a little uncomfortable for what you wanted to try next."
Doris stared at her blankly for a moment, and then turned bright pink as she remembered what their fourth romp had entailed… which also explained why her lips… both sets… felt swollen and slightly sore.
Unable to control the heat that instantly flooded through her, Doris looked down at the tray, trying to find anything else to focus her attention on. "What's all this?"
"Well..." The redhead smiled, removing the cover from the dishes with flourish. "Since we never had dinner," She grinned. "I repurposed most of that into breakfast." The plate held two eggs, sunny side up, a small mound of sliced potatoes with peppers, onion and garlic, and two pieces of bacon. Two pieces of whole wheat toast with light butter sat beside it, along with a steaming cup of coffee and a glass of orange juice. "Imagine my surprise when I found bacon in your fridge!"
Doris bit into a piece of toast, putting a hand in front of her mouth as she mumbled, "Yeah well, thank Ashlee. I swear no matter how hard I try, that girl resists take out..." She ran her finger along the well polished wood of the tray. "Where did you find this?"
"Believe it or not, you have four of them." Blake pursed her lips speculatively. "Why you would need four bed trays is a story I do expect to hear at another time, but after cleaning off about an inch of dust... they really are quite beautiful."
"Mmm." Doris closed her eyes as she tucked a piece of egg into her mouth. For the next several minutes she alternated between eating and feeding small bites of food to Blake from her own fork. When she bit into the bacon she groaned. "Wow... that's good." She held the other half out to the redhead who sighed as it melted in her mouth.
"Why," Blake borrowed the napkin on the tray, wiping the corners of her mouth. "Are the things that taste the best, always the worst things for you?"
Doris had just taken a sip of coffee and half choked as laughter bubbled up in her chest. She raised one eyebrow as she smirked at her lover.
"I..." Blake flushed. "I didn't mean you. I mean…" She stammered. "You do… taste… good I mean…"
"You are so cute." The Mayor smiled as she trailed one fingertip down Blake's cheek before returning to her breakfast. "Don't worry about it. I don't think anyone has ever considered me 'good' for them."
"Well…" The redhead smiled sweetly. "There's always tomorrow."
For a moment, Doris didn't know what to say. Then her eyes widened. "Tomorrow..." She picked up the tray and set it aside, sliding out of bed before grabbing Blake by the hand and trying not to laugh when the redhead reached back quickly for the last piece of bacon. She pulled her from the bed, waiting for a few seconds as the other woman finished the meat candy.
"Tomorrow?" Blake swallowed, gasping slightly when Doris untied her robe and pulled their bodies tightly together.
"Yeah. Tomorrow. We have a lot to do." She dragged the redhead towards the bathroom. "We can shower together. It will save time."
Blake raised one eyebrow sarcastically. "Really? Ya think?"
"Well..." Doris pressed her thigh firmly between the other woman's legs. "It WILL save time. Just... not until after the sex..."
Saturday 11:10 AM
Olivia shuffled happily through the living room of the farm house, still in her pajamas. Her body vibrated with a sexual energy that she thought should had driven her crazy by this point. But holding Natalia all morning, sleeping in her arms... That had left her feeling wonderfully... complete. Even waking up alone hadn't lessened that feeling.
Especially since she KNEW that Natalia was still close by.
It was like she could feel the other woman's energy in the house.
An energy that finally matched her own.
It was so different, the way she felt. The massive want and desire thrumming through her body and her absolute willingness to wait on her own needs to make someone else happy.
No, not just someone else.
It could never be anyone else.
Just Natalia.
But the younger woman WAS going to pay dearly for it after the wedding.
And she would happily take that payment in moans and orgasms.
She stopped for a moment, listening to the sounds of Natalia in the kitchen, breathing in the morning scents she had come to associate with her lover; surprised how the comfort she found in it only heightened the ache low in her belly.
"Seduced by breakfast." She whispered to herself, laughing softly before stepping into the kitchen and leaning up against the wall.
Natalia was standing at the stove in the red robe she seemed to have lost custody of, flipping perfectly shaped silver-dollar pancakes.
Blueberry silver-dollar pancakes. Her favorite.
Olivia breathed in deeply, letting out a happy sigh before smiling adoringly at the younger woman. "Where have you been all my life?"
"Uhm," Natalia pretended to think for a moment. Then her lips quirked in laughter. "Oh, right... scrubbing toilets in your hotel?"
"Not my whole life!" The older woman snorted, then blinked; growing more serious as she moved closer. "But definitely the beginning of the most important part of it." She moved in close behind the smaller woman, pressing into her back, running her nails up the smooth, tan skin of Natalia's thighs.
"Olivia." The younger woman growled in warning.
"What?"
Natalia could feel the blonde's lips curl into a smile as they pressed against the back of her neck; her movements stilling as warm hands slid over her barely covered back side and around her hips to splay across her belly. "Oh..." She leaned her head to the side, giving Olivia better access to her neck as the older woman's fingers crawled downwards, slipping beneath the lace of her boy shorts to scratch lightly through the tightly manicured hair between her legs.
"Olivia!" Natalia's hips surged forward, pressing the blonde's fingers more firmly against her, but when Olivia reached for the belt of her robe, she nudged her gently in the ribs with an elbow. "Stop! Stop... or we won't..."
Olivia moved in even closer, her breath warm in the younger woman's ear. "And what about that would be bad?"
"I didn't say it would be bad." Natalia panted, throwing a mock glare over her shoulder. "Now go sit down or I'll feed your breakfast to the ducks."
The older woman laughed, raising her hands in defeat as she went and sat in her regular seat; whispering a quiet 'Thank you.' when Natalia sat a plate in front of her.
Olivia looked down at the food. Two eggs, scrambled with cheddar cheese, four perfectly crispy silver-dollar pancakes and... She grinned. "Four? I get four pieces of bacon this morning?"
"Well... you need to... keep up your strength this weekend." Natalia flushed when Olivia looked at her knowingly. "Shut up and eat your breakfast."
Saturday 12:13 PM
Ashlee blinked as the early afternoon sun hit her square in the eyes. She tried to raise her right hand to shield them only to remember belatedly that her right hand was busy being wrapped around Amy's left as she walked her outside.
"Are you sure you don't want me to drive you home?" The older woman asked softly.
The blonde shook her head. "I can take a cab. I need to swing by the Beacon and do a last minute check on everything and I'm sure you have things to do too." She turned, pressing herself into Amy's front. "But... I would really like to see you later."
The redhead's face lit up like a string of Christmas lights. "Really?"
"Really." Ashlee leaned in closer, capturing soft, red lips with her own; her arms winding around the other woman's neck as the kiss grew heated.
A moment later she groaned as her cell phone started to ring. With a sigh, she broke away, holding up one finger as she dug in her purse. When she saw the name on the screen she sighed. "It's Doris."
Amy nodded, reluctantly letting the younger woman go and starting to move away; only to smile when Ashlee grabbed her arm and pulled her close again.
The blonde slid her thumb across the screen and raised it to her ear. "Hi, Mom." She blinked in surprise. "No, I'm fine. I just... stayed over at Amy's. I thought you might need some privacy..." She blinked again. "Uh... You're welcome?"
The redhead smiled, realizing the other woman's mother probably didn't say thank you very often.
"What?"
Amy focused her attention on the look on Ashlee's face.
"Well... I think that's a really great idea, Mom. A little short notice-" She stilled. "What do you need me to do?" Ashlee paled. "You need me to find a what?" The blonde pinched the bridge of her nose. "Where am I supposed to find that on this short of a notice?"
There was a long pause and then the blonde glanced at her, making Amy's eyebrow's rise.
"Mom... Mom..." Ashlee took a deep breath. "Mom!" When there was finally silence on the other end of the line she sighed. "I'll do my best." She flicked the screen and tossed tho phone back into her purse.
"What?" Amy looked at her in concern. "What?"
The blonde glanced at her contritely. "I know we were going to meet later... but do you think you could stand me a bit longer?" She couldn't help the smile that highjacked her lips when the older woman moved closer and kissed her gently. "My mother needs me to find something for her. Apparently she is going to be too busy this afternoon to find it herself. Can you help me?"
"Anything you need." She whispered.
"You're probably going to regret you said that."
Ashlee stood nervously outside of Davina's Bridal, feeling for all the world like she was there on some illicit mission to acquire contraband. She had felt bad about sending Amy in alone.
But there were still some things she was just not ready to deal with.
Not yet at least.
She breathed a huge sigh of relief when Amy walked out the front door carrying a beautifully wrapped package about the size of a small shoe box. The redhead pressed it into her hands with a smile.
"Thank you." Ashlee whispered.
"Thank Davi."
"I can't believe she would even have one of these."
Amy laughed. "Davi prides herself on having a full service shop. For both the wedding... and after."
The blonde leaned back against the wall. "Thank god."
The redhead stared at her for a moment, watching the way the wind casually blew her hair around her face, the way her pulse point jumped in her neck. Without thinking, she leaned forward, biting into the blonde's pale, smooth skin.
For a moment, Ashlee froze. Then she wound her fingers into Amy's hair and pulled her closer, groaning slightly when she felt a firm thigh pressed between her legs. "Amy!" She gasped.
Amy froze for a moment and then sighed, following it with a low chuckle as she released Ashlee and placed her hands flat against the wall. Breathing in and out several times, she kissed the blonde gently before turning her head up to stare into a clear blue sky. "Damn... you are hard on the heart."
Ashlee frowned slightly. "I don't mean to be."
The redhead smiled. "Trust me, that is not a bad thing. I..." Her voice trailed off as her eyes focused on something over their heads.
The younger woman glanced up, seeing nothing but an empty mounting bracket attached to the wall. "Is everything okay?"
"Uh..." Amy shook her head absently. "I'm not sure." She tried to smile at Ashlee reassuringly. "But there is something I need to take care of. Can I call you in an hour or so?"
The blonde nodded, enjoying the deep kiss she received before the older woman rushed back into the shop. She looked down at the box in her hands with a small smile as her cab pulled up.
