"How is this even possible?" Mercury stared at the sky. "How do the rogues have this sort of power?" It was happening again. Just like the Shadow Galaxy had affected Usagi with the moon, the rogues were affecting Juri with the sun. She silently hoped they didn't have enough power to begin affecting the other planets as well.

"It has to be the accomplice," Saturnalius noted. "We have to get back to the palace, the queen and king may be in danger." She paused, turning to Katsuro and his class. She had considered placing someone here to guard them but Katsuro didn't look afraid at all. "I'll leave protecting the class up to you, Senpai."

Katsuro nodded with a confident smile. "I got it covered. Do what you need to do to protect the Earth." He quickly ushered the students back up the hill and into the building.

Mercury's visor beeped at her, alerting her of a shift nearby. She turned, peering down the field towards the goal post. She blinked at it was gone. She was certain a strange shadow with long hair had been standing by the post, watching them, pleased with his work. She tapped the side of her visor, flipping through data captured. Only a strange brief fluctuation in energy existed, leaving no evidence of something or someone standing there.

"Things will start dying soon," Saturn noted solemnly, staring up at the sky. "But with this black sun, there will be no rebirth. Everything will be incomplete."

"Surely there must be a way to restore the sun," Mercury babbled aloud, pouring over readings and calculations on her visor and computer. None of this made sense. First the sun, then the strange shadow by the goalpost. Maybe this was all getting to her and she'd started hallucinating. No, no, that couldn't happen. She couldn't be outdone by her rival.

"It must be some magic," Saturnalius thought aloud. "Stop the accomplice, stop the magic."

"She's moving."

Saturnalius and Mercury stirred from their calculations to see Saturn pointing down the field. Chibi Fuzz had stirred and began fleeing.

Mercury sighed. It was Shadow Galactica all over again. While Space Gas could be saved, Chibi Fuzz was doing this of her own volition. She was truly a bad person. "We can't let her get away."

"Right ahead of you," Saturnalius nodded. She knew a simple capture mission wouldn't work for this enemy. She couldn't see them as senshi of the Guardian Network. They were enemies, and enemies had to be destroyed. "It's time we end this."

Mercury crossed one hand across her body, extending the other one out. "Mercury aqua mist!" A heavy fog began rolling in from the top of the stadium, quickly making its way down into the field.

Chibi Fuzz whipped around, glaring at the three senshi. "Persistent rats!" she hissed. The shadow was right. They were strong, but the power the shadow had given her was even stronger. She halted, raising a hand into the air. "Shadow pollination!"

The ground rumbled and the grass on the field shifted. Shadows emerged from the ground, winding together to form massive dandelions nearly a story tall. The dandelions swayed in the mist rolling in. One of the seeds above the senshi exploded, causing massive seed pods to fall. They leapt out of the way as the seed collided with the ground and exploded, sending massive amounts of pollen in every direction.

"The brains and strength of the guardians will fall here!" Chibi Fuzz boasted.

Mercury sneezed. She could feel the allergens entering her body, making it harder and harder to breathe. At this rate, the three would suffocate. Coughing a few times, she found herself having trouble focusing. She could barely read the data on her visor. It babbled something about dark matter and anomalies and shadows.

Wheezing, she rose her hands into the air, crossing them over her head before quickly forcing them out to the side. "Hyperspacial sphere generate!" The air around her began to warp then quickly force the pollen and allergens away from her body. An odd sphere began forming around her. The sphere expanded to protect Saturn and Saturnalius. The three wheezed and coughed and finally could breathe.

"That wasn't the same power she used before," Saturnalius noted. "It's different, almost like it's not hers."

"I don't think it is," Mercury agreed, flopping down on the ground. "The magic is reading like dark matter from space. It has to be borrowed. Even Jadeite had reported seeing odd shadow-like magic when he fought against Black Hole."

"Except unlike Black Hole," Saturnalius reiterated, "she's doing this freely."

Mercury glanced back out through the sphere. Pollen spewed everywhere amidst the fog. Visibility was poor and barely a foot. Battle was nearly impossible in this condition, except they had a slight advantage. "She's still casting the magic," Mercury noted, watching the readings pour across her visor. "When I lower the sphere, you have one shot."

"One shot, huh." She knew what that meant. Once that field was down, they would suffocate from all the pollen and dark matter in the area, but if they hit the source, they could potentially survive it. Saturnalius glanced at Saturn. "You ready for this? The last combination we may ever do?"

Saturn nodded without hesitation, standing up and bringing her glaive to her hands. Saturnalius summoned her staff to her hands, standing tall beside her counterpart.

"The target is 10 meters away at a 30 degree inclination up due north and surrounded by shadows," Mercury read off the readings.

Saturnalius looked ahead, calculating the location in her mind. "We're ready." She stood back to back with her mirror. It was one last chance to save themselves and to stop Chibi Fuzz.

"I'm lowering the barrier," Mercury announced.

Drawing their weapons together and crossing them, Saturnalius and Saturn called out the command. "To save the peace we've sacrificed to create! Crystal atomic reborn revolution!"
