Chapter 52: "Pillars" of creation.

Well it's time to climb Mt. Coronet and begin the big final main clash of the story, at least as far as the evil team "arc" is concerned that is.

Oreburgh City(pokemon center)
Waking up this morning came late to Jake, considering that he had just dropped on the bed and passed out given all of the events that had happened yesterday. As a result he was face down in the bed, thankfully under the covers but still completely out of it. Clair meanwhile had already pulled herself out of bed and was in the shower while Angela was shaking the sleep from her system and moved into a sat up position just before Jake fully rejoined the waking world and began picking himself up. "Oh hell what hit me last night?" Jake asked in a groggy voice as he began rubbing the sleep from his eyes once he was sitting up on the bed, still under the blanket. -I believe that would be the exhaustion from yesterday.- Angela pointed out as she turned to him. "Yeah that would be it considering that we did alot yesterday. I guess the fatigue didn't kick in until it was all over." He said with a simple nod.
-Yes that seems to have been the case.- The motherly absol replied while Jake shook the remains of the sleep out of his eyes. "Well once we've finished breakfast we are going right up that mountain and kicking all of Team Galactic's asses." He said as he was finally fully awake and just in time as Clair was finished in the bathroom, coming out of it with the normal towel wrapped around her body. -Good morning sleepy.- She said with a smug look to Jake, who just shook his head. "What else was I supposed to do when all of the fatigue just hit me like a truck?" He asked as he stood up and headed into the bathroom himself. Clair just laughed it off as he went past her into said room with a towel over his shoulder. The gardevoir turned to Angela as she began quickly changing into her normal attire, noticing the concerned look on the Absol's face. -Worried about your son?- She asked, with the dark type giving a nod. -Yes, more now though since we know where he is.- She said in an understandably downcast tone, -I should be feeling relieve but because I know where he is, it feels worse then not knowing.- She said, sounding unsure for the first time. Clair was quick to try and comfort her for a change, instead of the "mother" of the group being the shoulder to lean on.
-I get it, the whole no news is good news idea.- The psychic type replied as she finished changing before kneeling next to the sitting pokemon. -You know the rest of us will be helping you here, but I do understand why it's worrying, you know what could be happening to him.- She said to Angela, with the motherly pokemon nodding. Jake chose just then, to speak up as he had finished using the bathroom a few moments ago but decided stay quiet as not to ruin the moment. "Sorry to interrupt but let's put that worry to rest as soon as we can then." He said, giving a single nod to Angela before he began sorting out his bag and the contents of it while Clair and Angela began waking up the rest of the team.

Once all of this was done, including breakfast, making sure he had his and Clair's winter jackets in his bag and making sure his team was healed up for the battles ahead, Jake exited out of the center and started heading toward the mountain that split Sinnoh into two halves. Retreading up through the short route that was Route 207 and reentering the south entrance to Mt. Coronet, Jake looked around again like he did when he came through the first time. After some quick scanning and going the opposite way to the first time he had come through here, he found a small stretch of water that led towards a ledge that led up further into the mountain along with a small path around the side that had some craggy ridges which James could easily climb up like he did at the lake. Once the group of three was on top of the ledge they headed up the conveniently craved out staircase that led into the main floors of the mountain.

Mt. Coronet:-
Coming to the top of the steps which led unsurprisingly to the second floor of the cave system, a chilly yet faint draft blew through the large cavern. Conveniently for the group, since Team Galactic had already been through the cave on their way to the summit, there were lights fixed to the wall, albeit seemingly in a hurry so some of them had been left on the floor instead. "Well this isn't going to be hard to figure out where they went considering those lights." He said, pointing to one as he looked around the area they'd arrived at, with Angela nodding before she paused and her eyes went wide. Both Clair and Jake noticed this quickly and turned to her. -What's wrong Angela?- The psychic pokemon asked with Jake nodding to show he would have asked the same thing. -It's my son, I can faintly smell him here.- She said quietly, almost in a whisper as she looked down towards the floor, a wave of anguish washing over her from the familiar scent. "That's a good sign I guess." Jake said as he placed a hand on Angela's shoulder. "At least we now know where he is exactly." He continued, with Clair piping in quickly afterwards. -Yeah, so now we can finally get him back, I understand this hasn't been the easiest for you on this subject Angela, but we're almost there.- She said, trying to cheer the dark type up. Said pokemon looked up to both of them a second later, -Yes, you two are right, this isn't the time to grieve over my son, because I can get him back."
She said, shaking her head and looking towards the path ahead. Jake stood back up, "Yeah, and after that I'll release you as I promised all that time ago back on route 203." He said as the they began walking forward. -Actually Jake, I'd like to change that deal.- Angela said as she turned her head to look at the teenager while trekking forward towards another set of steps and a wooden bridge which was old but still looked usable. The young trainer looked confused as he glanced back at her. "Huh? What do you mean?" He asked, generally bewildered. -Once we've gotten my son back, I'd like to continue fighting as part of your team.- She said matter-of-factually, not beating around the point at all. Jake stopped dead in his tracks in surprise right as he finished crossing the bridge. "Wait what?" He said loudly in shock, with Clair's face mirroring his. -I'm going to side with Jake here. Why would you continue helping us Angela? Didn't we agree that once we got your family back, as long as that is taking for your son unfortunately, you'd be free to go back into the wild?- She explained, pretty much summing up the deal that Jake had made with the Dark type ages ago.(and to remind any of you reading that either skipped that chapter or just forgot)
Angela nodded once, -Yes that was what we agreed on, but after all of this do you really expect me to have not become attached to you as a second family and to help you finish what you set out to do Jake?- She said seriously, looking Jake right in the eye as she spoke. The young man nodded. "Well I thought you'd want to go back to your family after this was done?" He said in reply. The motherly pokemon sighed and nodded. -Yes, I do want to return to my family, but I feel like I should help you through the rest of your journey, call it Stockholm syndrome or me feeling indebted to you for your help if you wish, but I want to continue traveling with you after we beat Cyrus Jake. All of you have grown on me, plus I know Clair can call me a step mother.- She said while glancing in the Psychic's direction with a knowing grin, to which said pokemon blushed. Jake sighed, "Guess I can't dissuade you from your choice can I?" He said, with the Absol infront of him nodding. "I thought not, you sound as set on this choice as I am at being stubborn. But I will only let you stay on my team under one condition." He said, indicating the number with his finger. Angela raised an eyebrow, -What would that be?- She asked, generally curious as to what Jake was going to ask. "Once we get your son back and shut down Team Galactic's plan, we head back to my house for a week so that you can spend time with your family. It's the least I can do if you're joining me permanently." He said, with Angela looking as surprised as Jake and Clair had a moment ago. -Are you sure Jake? I don't want to slow your journey down that much. If we are doing that then let's compromise at 3 days, I do want to spend time with my family but i'd feel guilty if I was a reason you'd stopped for so long.- She said, continuing from the second sentence onward after Jake nodded. The adolescent nodded. "Fine, I can do that. But that's enough time wasted for now, we can sort out the rest later, come on." He said as he began walking forward again towards the north end of the entire room.
As Jake and co reached the path leading towards an opening in the mountain, which appeared to have been sealed off until recently, what with the remains of a large rock slab littering the area around the makeshift door. As the team of three began walking towards the entryway, they heard a voice that they were very familiar with, "Ah it is you again my friend." It was Looker of all people. "Looker, what are you doing here?" Jake said in surprise, for the second time within the hour. "Following a lead from Galactic's HQ that tipped me off to their larger plan." He said before noticing the hole in the wall. "Observe, if you will, that hole." Jake nodded as Looker pointed over to it as he spoke. "Yeah, looks like something destroyed whatever was blocking anything past that." Jake said as he half turned to it before looking back at, well, Looker. The policeman nodded before he continued speaking. "That thing was an ancient cave painting that had blocked the way to the summit." Looker said matter-of-factly, with Jake and Co nodding.
"So Cyrus and friends(said sarcastically for context here) blasted their way through it." Jake said plainly, with the brown trench-coat wearer nodding. "Yes, but it was not done by any means of explosive, such as their Galactic bomb, the wall was broken once the three Pokémon of the lakes were all captured, and it is no longer there. The painting lies in pieces, forever demolished." Looker said before he went into his musing pose yet again. "Do you see? Something terrible is happening, but what exactly, other then what any files from their HQ spoke of, I do not know. There is but one cause! Team Galactic's Cyrus is at the core of this, for that anyone could see, but what must be done to stop him?" The international officer questioned before his eyes snapped open in a eureka moment and he turned to Jake quickly "Ah ha, that is it!" He exclaimed somewhat loudly. Jake and his two teammates looked understandably confused, "Er no offence Looker but could you explain what great idea you've just come up with?"
He asked, with the man in question smirking lightly. "Ah excuse my outbursts, I merely understand what must be done next to advance. Unfortunately I am not equipped for battle, I am a member of the international police, this is true. But my battling skills are, how you say, inadequate. As a result, I cannot arrest Cyrus or Team Galactic as they are now beyond my reach, for I will not be able to get close to Cyrus at all now. However, You are far better outfitted for battle to me. You proved this to me back at the Windworks if you remember. I believe you will have improved by enough to stop Team Galactic before they complete whatever dark design Cyrus intends to preform atop this mountain." Looker stated, a serious look on his face, which Jake mirrored. "Yeah I don't need any more reason to stop Team Galactic, I was planning to beat them down anyway." The teen explained as he clutched a fist. Looker gave a single nod. "Excellent answer my young friend. Now I will not delay you any longer, I will meet you at Professor Rowan's lab in Sandgem Town tomorrow so that you can report what happened to me." Jake nodded. "Sounds like a plan I guess." He said as he nodded to the policeman one last time before saying his goodbye and heading through the passage. This was followed by the trio heading up the stairs which were the were way up, and were again conveniently craved out for people to use, lights in place for guidance as well.
Once on the third floor, the group of 3 found a random grunt patrolling the passage ahead but he was quickly beaten in a fight. with Terry leveling up to 45 as a result. "Wait, it's you!" The grunt said suddenly as he got a better look at Jake. Sure enough it was the goon Jake had sucker punched back at the HQ, "Figures you'd try and stop us here." The grunt said flatly as he tried to intimidate Jake with the darkest stare he could muster, but due to the black eye that Jake had given him it just came off as flat as his tone. "Yeah yeah, cry me a river. Look did you or someone in your team bring the Absol from the holding area back at your HQ up here?" The teen asked, sounding understandably unamused. "I know one of the members on the upper area has him, that's all I can tell you. Again because that's all I know." The grunt said, adding the last sentence quickly when Angela growled lowly at him before he backed up out of punching range and fleeing further into the mountain before Jake or co could stop him.
"Well he could end up causing us problems by informing the commanders and Cyrus that we're here, but I think he was going to be expecting me anyway so no point trying to stop him" Jake said as he shook his head, with both pokemon nodding. -As long as we stop Cyrus and get my son back, I don't care how many of them try to stop us.- Angela said with a shake of her head. "Well as long as you don't kill or maim anyone that is." Jake said with her nodding. Clair chose then to speak up. -Jake have you noticed the cold draft in here?- She asked, lightly shivering as said draft cut through her like a knife due to her somewhat thin dress.(Like a dress you'd go out for a fancy meal in, but a bit thinker so it doesn't tear easily but doesn't guard against temperture too well) He nodded, "Yeah I know what you mean, I guess the mountain is tall enough that it snows up here all year round then." The teenage trainer said as he reached into his bag and fished out both jackets and handed Clair hers before putting his on, the psychic pokemon mirroring his action. After this the trio continued through the single passage only to find a cave exit with snow lining the area around the entry way. "Well looks like I was right, as much as I wish I wasn't seeing how our last scrape with cold weather ended up." Jake commented half-heartedly before he and his team mates went through the exit onto the snowy mountainside.
As they got outside the semi-harsh yet cold wind greeted them prompting the group to shiver collectively before shrugging it off as best they could before looking around. "Well this doesn't feel as cold as the route up to Snowpoint, but we still shouldn't hang around. I don't want to be caught up in another blizzard." Jake said as he breathed into his hands and began walking through the single "path" along the outer area of the mountain itself with his pokemon in tow right behind him. Angela spoke up after a moment or so, -It feels strange to be back here after so long, before either of you ask I was born up here but recently moved down to route 203, which as you know ended up going poorly.- She said as she glanced between Jake and Clair, who both simply nodded and kept going, though the group continued talking as to fill the silence that was only broken otherwise by the somewhat loud wind. "Hey Angela, after all of this is over, would you like to live where you were before all of this happened and I keep your pokeball at the ready incase I need your help with something?" The teen asked, earning a shake of the head from the dark type pokemon as a result. -No, I feel like after all of this I'd rather live somewhere that I know is safe, like the lab with Professor Rowan, or with your family Jake.- She said after James had carried Jake up some more rocks that Rock Climb could be used on(again using at least some common sense) with Angela and Clair being returned to their pokeballs temporary because of it.
"Really?" Jake asked as he looked to the absol, who glanced back at him and nodded. -Yes Jake, this is mainly for my state of mind really as I know I can trust you, and by proxy I know your mother must be someone who could relate to my problems if you explained them.- The young trainer nodded, "Believe me I know she would, well let's deal with team galactic first then we can sort out the rest." He said as he began walking towards cave entrance on the very left of the mountain face, following some faint outlines of footprints that the snow hadn't completely covered up yet as a guide. A couple minutes of this led them to another cave entrance, this one on the very left side of the mountain side that the group was moving around on.
Entering through this way opened up to another large cavernous area, this one having the sounds of a waterfall running in the middle, a fact shown off very quickly once the group were instead said rocky room, again conveniently lit up for easy exploring. Only this time Jake and co were jumped by a couple grunts, only for said grunts to be quickly crushed under Angela and Clair's assault, with the dark type especially showing no mercy outside of killing or mortally wounding force. She was only holding back enough as not to kill, be it direct or indirectly. Clair and Jake did notice this but they both understood why, it was a mother rushing to her young's aid, like when a mum would flip over a car to save a burning child as an example while still being controlled. As the group continued through the cavern, with James carrying them up another rocky wall, they then found marks of a battle that had played out in that area but no grunt or trainer was there as the loser(for context they had just left). "Is someone else ahead of us?" Jake asked, understandably confused as to the marks and all. Both Clair and Angela shrugged, -I don't know but let's hope it's not someone worst then team galactic.- Clair said calmly, with Jake nodding while Angela moved on ahead slightly. The rest of the very large cavern, along with the next equally large "room" had plenty of grunts patrolling it, so Jake just shrugged and got to work beating all of them.
A couple of hours of battling, healing and leveling up to 48 on everyone but Clair and Angela, who got to 49 later and the trio found themselves outside yet again on the northern side of the mountain with a lesser wind blowing around them since the actual mountain itself was shielding them from most of the frosty gale of air. Looking around the group found three sets of foot prints, one matched the prints from the lower area of the mountain summit they had followed before and that were half covered by the snow because they were somewhat old, but the other two looked unfamiliar, though the way they were placed was somewhat recognizable to the teenager along with the fact they looked to be much more recent, an hour or two old at most. It was a pair of regular trainers but the set of prints next to it wasn't from a shoe of any kind, there was a set of large pawprints next to them. Angela and Clair followed Jake's gaze down and noticed them too. -Looks like whoever it is want to beat Galactic as much as we do.- Angela said with a raised eyebrow before turning to Jake, who nodded.
"Yeah, but only one person I know matches both that want and the way these tracks are. I'm not a hunter by any means but it just seems like that. It's gotta be Matthew." He said in a sort of mini Aha moment, with Clair nodding once. -I don't know about that myself, he seems so laid back, then again I have only met him a couple times so maybe I'm not one to judge.- She said with a shrug while Jake himself shook his head. "Believe me i know how crazy it sounds, but he has had a couple moments where he's put a serious face on, this would fit into that sort of thing perfectly." The young man said with a sigh before glancing between the two pokemon. "That and he did leave before to try and train up a bit, I know it's only been a day since then but who knows, he could have done a lot over that course of time." Jake shrugged as he spoke before he began heading towards the cave that the footprints led to, getting James to help with any rocky walls that stood before them.
Once they were through into the upper caves of the mountain, they were greeted by more grunts but all of them were quickly dealt with, this leading to everyone leveling up to 49 with Sparky learned Fire Fang in place of Crunch, Terry learning Aura Sphere in place of Drain Punch(short leveled I know but Togikiss is more a special attacker anyway.) and Crystal got Ice Punch in place of Icy Shard and Signal Beam in place of Protect. Pressing on further up the single passage showed a couple grunts that were already beaten, and only a few minutes ago to boot. This was proven to be true by a loud thud that sounded from above the trio, -Sounds like whoever it is must be just ahead of us and they mean business.- Angela said as she began running to the stairs with Jake and Clair behind her.
Arriving at the top of the stairs on the final cavern, Jake and company found a grunt backing down a set of stairs, eyes wide in fear as a loud bark sounded from in front of him. Walking past him and spotting the owner of said sound confirmed what Jake had thought, it was Matthew, accompanied as usual by his Arcanine. "Figured you wouldn't be far behind me Jake, you never were one to give up." The teen said as he buried his hands in his pockets again and the large dog pokemon calmed down. "You know me well enough to say that Matt, though I never thought you'd be one to try for revenge on someone." He said in slight surprise. "Let's call it payback for the lake pokemon, who I'm assuming are free now since you're here?" Matt asked, receiving a nod from Jake as his answer. "Though Cyrus, the team's boss, has bigger plans other then simply capturing them. I don't know what it is but if it involves coming all the way up here, it can't be good." Jake said flatly with Matt nodding. "Well I spoke to Cynthia and Professor Carolina since I left you yesterday, figured I'd need to find out what the lake pokemon had in common. Turns out they all had gems that could be combined into some sort of chain. That's all they had in terms of info, besides that Spear Pillar, the place at the top of this mountain, is connected to the legends and myths that they were researching. Normally I wouldn't give two rattatas' asses about this stuff, but pays to brush up on your history every so often." He said, all in a seriousness that Jake had never seen before. Though he nodded, "So whatever they're doing is connected to the legends, that must be what the cave painting in Celestic Town is hinting at, the Lake pokemon play a bigger role in this somehow but the truth can wait, we have to stop them first." He finished before properly joining Matt and Arcanine on top of the stairs before the group of five funneled out of the cave and onto the top of the mountain.

Spear Pillar:-
Walking out into bright sunlight of the afternoon sun, Jake, Matt and company all looked around, taking in the surroundings of the ruins that sat atop the tallest mountain in the region. Though all they could see from the exit was some light brown and eroded stone brick along with a staircase up to the main part of the ruins and some of the aforementioned pillars pointing to the sky, some still intact, but will signs of age showing on them be it cracks or small chunks missing, while others were almost completely gone with only the base and a short part of the pillar left standing. A couple crumbling arch ways stood up towards the sky as well, one on each side of the ruins only path way but they were equally falling to both time and the elements seeing as one was half gone completely while the other was a mess of broken pieces.
Following the none existence path up the stairs, Jake and Matt found Jupiter and Mars waiting for them. "Oh why am I not surprised? It's you again." Mars said, her face very quickly devolving into a glare as she spotted Jake and Matt standing before them with the latter having his hands still buried in his pockets. "Well if it isn't the teenager that I beat at Lake Acuity." Jupiter spoke up before noticing Jake as well. "And I see you know the punk that beat me as well." She continued, the smug look dropping from her face now as she stepped forward, only for Matt to do the same. "Yeah not a chance if you think you're holding us both up." He says as he turns to Jake. "You go ahead and try to stop Cyrus, these two are mine." He finished as he motions with his head for Jake to go on ahead. "You sure Matt?" Jake asked, understandably surprised. "Yeah, this time I'm prepared, plus if anyone could stop Cyrus besides me, it'd be you." He said with a nod which Jake returned before he tried to slip past Mars and Jupiter. The pair of commanders tried to stop him only for Matt's Arcanine to jump between the two groups while Matt also sent out his Gengar, who glared right at them. Jake, Clair and Angela all just nodded to Matt before running onward to where Cyrus was standing at the other end of the ruin.
The man in question was holding the two Red Chains in his grip, one in each hand before he heard Jake approaching him and he turned around to greet the trainer before him and addressing him, as deadpan as ever. "Ah, you have accepted my invitation I see, your emotions make you predicate as I had expected. Yet I will not fight you here, as my dream is about to become reality." He spoke with hints of a smile crossing his face. "I have poured over all of the myths and legends of this region, turned over every stone, both metaphoric and literal in order to find the power that will grant me the world I envision." Cyrus said in a speech voice now as he lifted the Red Chains, his face never changing from the straight-face that he normally wore. "Everything is ready for the creation of a new world, the world that I desire. Now, all will end and will be reborn as I design it, I will correct the wrong that Arceus made by giving us spirit." He looked down to Jake for a second as he spoke, who was quick to retort. "You're insane to be calling yourself god here." The teenager shouted, only for Cyrus to ignore him as he continued what seemed to be a chant. "With this, the Red Chain made from the crystals of the three lake Pokémon." He lifted the chain in his left hand high as he spoke, mirroring the action with the item in his right hand as well. "And this, the Red Chain I replicated with technological means... These Red Chains will allow me to pry open the portal to the dimensions where the Masters of Time and Space abide. I command that you unleash your power for me..."
As Cyrus finished speaking, the mountain began to shake as the two Red Chains Cyrus held began glowing brightly. Jake and company tensed up as two portals were torn open right in front of Cyrus, seemingly out of the fabric of reality itself. As this happened Cyrus lowered the items again but kept tight hold of them while a bright pink glow erupted from one portal, and a bright blue from the other. From the pink portal came a light pink/purple theropod-like Pokémon with stripes and markings of a darker shade and almost metallic gray underarms and waist. It had round purple-striped plates that appeared to mimic blades on its shoulder area, where two pink or light red pearls lie encrusted with a gray rim encircling them and a pair of fins in its back. The pokemon's arms have extended formations resembling gauntlets on them and a purple band around each wrist. The neck was extremely long with a pointed white crest- like horn on the top of its head that extends to its wings along with two strong horn-like tusks on the sides of its jaw, and a powerful tail. There were faint cracks along its legs and tail as well.
The blue portal allowed a similar pokemon to come through as well, it was a dark blue sauropod-like Pokémon with some gray metallic portions, such as what appeared to be a chestplate, which housed a diamond in the center. Various light blue stripes lined parts of its body in specific patterns as well and a fin-like structure on its back above the tail and a crest on its en-longed head, resembling a dinosaur like pokemon. There were two horns on top of its head as well as two fang-like horns around its mouth, and three spines on the back of its neck. It had three claws on each foot of the same metallic looks as its chestplate. Faint cracks exist across its body as well.
Cyrus almost started laughing as he turned to Jake, who was surprised to say the least to to see two pokemon suddenly appear like they had, the portal's glow dying down behind the pokemon now as well. "I see you are clearly taken aback Jake" Cyrus said with a slight smile. "Understandable given what has just happened, This is Dialga, the mythical Pokémon, and the master of time! ...And the other is Palkia, the mythical Pokémon, and the master of space and dimensions!" He said, gesturing to the blue pokemon first, and the pink one second. The Red Chains began to glow again now as he explained. "Ah yes, with these chains, I have complete control over the power of these two legendary pokemon, nothing will stand in my way. I've waited so long for this moment these two shape this world in a double spiral of time and space. Yes, the very things that they have the ability to control is now bound to do my bidding!" He said as he stared Jake dead in the eye." He continued without giving Jake a chance to speak up. "Their abilities are mine to command, with which I will create an entirely new world! This incomplete and ugly world we have now will disappear. Everything is going to be reset to zero. Nothing can remain! It is all for making the ultimate world. A world of complete perfection. Nothing so vague and incomplete as spirit can remain." He said before briefly breaking his cold poker face and fulfilling the evil laugh that you would expect in this sort of thing. Only right as he finished, three cries rung out over the ruin, with the last of them sounding familiar the the trio standing in front of Cyrus and three bright glows, One blue, one yellow and the final one pink, flew up from the directions of the mountain that the three lakes were in and begun circling the sky above Dialga and Palkia. Cyrus looked up and an expression of mild annoyance crossed his face. "...I should have expected as much. Uxie, "The Being of Knowledge." Azelf, "The Being of Willpower." And Mesprit, "The Being of Emotion". The Mythical Pokémon of the lakes have come to protect Sinnoh, just as they did in the past. Pathetic and worthless. It takes the three of them, the three Pokémon that symbolize spirit, to balance either the Pokémon of time or space." He said with a shake of his head. "But they can't maintain balance against both at the same time, not when both Dialga and Palkia are here, which allows me to continue my plan unhindered. Their coming here is in vain. So much meaningless drama. Now, Jake. You may have been constantly interfering with my plans, but now you will be forgiven. After all, there will remain no spirit for all time when I am done. All spirit will disappear and will be ripped away... From you! From your Pokémon! From those precious to you...! It is time! My dream will be my reality!" He said with a mild laugh. But before he could continue any further, a shadow appeared over the area, as if clouds had covered up the blue sky above the mountain and the 3 pokemon above begun flying around erratically, almost in a panic.
At the same time, an ominous pressure fills the air, almost as if Cyrus had done something very wrong or angered something. -Jake...do you feel that?- Clair asked, with Jake nodding. "Yeah, whatever it is, it's not happy with what Cyrus is doing." As Jake said this, some sort of dark void opened up infront of Cyrus and began to expand before him, the pulse wave it created distorting the pillars around the Galactic boss in such a way that they still pointed up towards the sky, but were now bent at the base as well. Cyrus himself backed up from the void as the edge of it stopped in front of him, while Dialga and Palkia were forced back by some form of dark energy that came from said floor portal. A shadowy mass of a pokemon emerged from the hole in the floor and seemed to stare right at Cyrus in a glare. ""Interesting. So, there is a Pokémon that can only appear as a shadow. I seem to have angered it with my intent to remake this world. Regardless, the effort is rash, foolish and futile. I have harnessed the powers of Dialga and Palkia, this shadow cannot..." Cyrus was cut off before he could finish his sentence as the pokemon instantly wrapped its dark wings around him and vanished back into the portal with him in it's grasp, leaving the portal in it's wake while Dialga and Palkia were sent back to their home dimension as the red chain's power vanished.
The battle going on behind Jake had also stopped once the shadow had appeared, and the commanders were at loss at what to do seeing as their boss was just taken before their eyes while Matt looked shocked for the first time, at least that Jake had seen. The lake pokemon flew down to where the portal was, with Azelf and Uxie flying in quickly, yet Mesprit lingered again, nodding to Jake before flying in herself.
A voice that Jake recognized spoke up behind him, almost in a yell. "No!" Turning around revealed the speaker to be Cynthia of all people. "Cynthia? What the hell are you doing here?" Jake asked in understandable surprise while the commanders backed up towards the exit and Matt began walking over to the group near the portal. "When I heard what Team Galactic were doing I also managed to make a big discovery and finally found an answer from studying the myths." She said as she glanced around at Spear Pillar before looking back to Jake. "I'm guessing it revealed the whole ritual with those red chains Cyrus had?" He asked, handing a couple hyper potions to Matt as the teen stopped next to him. Cynthia nodded before speaking again. "They also revealed that when this world was made, Dialga and Palkia appeared, but I won't bore you with all of the details on it now, at least the ones that don't matter in this situation. Apparently, there was one more Pokémon that appeared at the same time with as much power as Dialga and Palkia... but also one whose name was never to be spoken for it was believed to be cursed. It's name was Giratina!" Matt spoke up as Cynthia finished speaking for a moment. "Well I'm going to use my wildest guess and say the shadow that decided to "burrow" Cyrus was Giratina then." He said, sounding normal in tone again, if not being extremely sarcastic, even doing air quotes when he said burrow before burying his hands in his jacket again. Cynthia nodded again. "Most likely, Giratina is also said to lurk in another world on the opposite side of ours, which is where that portal is presumably connected to." She paused and looked around at the bent pillars before speaking again. "The pillars are distorting because of the portal as it's joined us to the other world. If it's not closed, the distortion will spread to Sinnoh and beyond... Our world will be destroyed. We have to chase after Cyrus and Giratina!" She finished before turning to Jake who nodded.
"So you're asking me to head into another world to stop him, well we got this far, might as well to finish this off, I still need to find out where Angela's son is." He said, while Matt stepped back. "Well good luck to both of you then, I'll stay here and make sure none of Team Galactic tries anything." He said before nodding to both trainers once and turning around and walking down the steps towards the entry back to the cave. Cynthia just looked at Jake. "Friend of yours I'm guessing." She asked with a raised eyebrow with Jake nodding in reply. "Yeah, he's as blunt as a brick but he cares, just is more laid back then most really, but we have something to do." The teen replied before looking down at the portal. "I'm guessing the elevator is out for this and we just jump on in?" He asked with Cynthia mirroring his action from a moment before Jake stood back. "Ladies first them and all." He said, which despite the situation at head did get Cynthia to smile before she accepted, thanked Jake and jumped into the portal, with Jake temporarily returning Angela and Clair to their respective pokeballs and following suit.

Ending note time:-
Holy shit the writers block was not kind for this one, I was stuck a couple times trying to get the scenes in my head so I could get this down on paper, or at least the computer version, but regardless it's here now and it's done. Looks like the main conflict is going to be wrapped up in the next chapter or the one after it at the latest. I hope you guys look forward to it.

Read and review guys, and stay cool ;)
