AN: For the sake of privacy, and due to lack of information, I will be making up the names of Sheamus's mother and sisters. I will, however be sticking with Sheamus's actual father's name, for the sake of continuity. My accents and slang may be a bit off, but I would love and appreciate any Irish people's corrections on either. I hope i am getting this stuff right.
A wide grin broke out over Sheamus's face as four small children played in the yard. As soon as he got of the car, walking up to the door, the children ran up at him and tackled his knees, crying, "Steppah!" Sheamus chuckled and lifted one of the smaller ones into the air.
"Did'ja miss me?" he asked the little boy with a grin. The boy grinned back, pretending to think before answering, "Nope!" as his cousins wrapped themselves around Sheamus's ankles. Sheamus headed for the door still, walking as if he were wading throgh water. Sheamus feigned anger at the little boy's response. "Ya didn't miss me? we'll see about tha." and he promptly began tickling the smaller boy under the ribs lightly, holding him in one arm as if he were a baby. The boy began squirming and laughing loudly as Reigns looked on, shaking his head. the oldest girl, not wrapped around Sheamus's ankles, watched the antics with a grin, before noticing Reigns standing there. She ran back in the house to tell the adults Sheamus had arrived.
Sheamus went in first, placing the chuckling little boy on his feet before a rather energetic blonde woman ran up, pouncing on Sheamus. For a moment, Reigns forgot that Sheamus had two sisters, and was worried that this woman was all over his man.
"Can't even let me get in tha house good, can ya?"
The thin girl responded with a high pitched squeal, hugging Sheamus around the neck tightly. Sheamus chuckled and walked towards a couch, normally now, as the children had let go of his ankles to chase each other around the living room, being joined by two barking dogs.
Sheamus set the girl down and held her out at arms length.
"Dear got, ya jus keep growin by the day, aye? look atcha! Jaysus!"
"Ya are one ta talk!" the girl replied, standing on the tips of her toes and gauging the difference between their heights with a flat palm. "Ah remember when ah was taller than ya, now ya traipse off ta America and now ya shot up!" Sheamus grinned and chuckled before turning to make introductions between his sister and Reigns.
"Ah, forgve me manners. Ava, this is Reigns. Reigns, this is my sister, Ava."
Ava looked at Reigns with a grin, and shook his hand. "What's the craic?" She turned to Sheamus. "This wouldn't be the Reigns that ya been bendin ma's ear about, would it?" Reigns blushed slightly. "Aye he is." Sheamus replied, waiting for her reaction. Ava lookd Reigns up and down. "Well, he sure is easy on the eyes, Aye? Nice one." she chuckled as Sheamus and Reigns shared a blush. "Ah, Ah'm only slaggin ya."
"Where's ma?" Sheamus asked as he looked around.
"Ah, ya'll find her in the kitchen, Ah gotta nip off to the jacks. Nice meetin ya, Reigns." and she rushed off.
Sheamus led Reigns by the hand as he headed to the kitchen Reigns could already smell a thick stew brewing, and as they entered the kitchen, a smal redheaded woman was stirring intently at several pots at once, clanging them, and creating a loud clattering. She was facing away from them, so when Sheamus got close enough, he called out, "MA!" All clattering ceased, and she turned around, with a gasp, greeting her son in Gaelic and grabbing his cheeks with both hands. She gve him several kisses, met with Sheamus's protesting. Reigns chuckled at Sheamus's reaction to his mother's greeting. She eventually let go of his face and gasped again. "This wouldn't be Reigns, would he?" she asked with a grin. Sheamus answered with a muttered aye, and his mother took both Reigns hands in her own small, warm ones. Sheamus's other sister, Shannon, strode in confidently, giving Sheamus a nod and wave before starting back with the pots on the stove, makin much less noise, stirring each a bit. "So nice ta finally meetcha, Reigns. Ah'v heard so much about ya." She turned to ask if they were staying for dinner and Sheamus replied that they were. Shannon moved away from the pans and moved to shake Reign's hand. "What's the craic, Reigns? How's your hole?" she asked with a straight face. Reigns was a bit taken back at this question, and glanced at Sheamus. Sheamus chuckled and explained, "She means how are ya." Reigns replied that he was fine. Shannon looked him over and turned to Sheamus "Sexy cabbage. Now all ya need ta worry of is Da." and she walked away.
"Sexy-" Reigns started to ask.
"It means I approve." Sheamus explained. Sheamus didn't need to ask where his dad was, because all six feet six inches of the pale blonde Martin came barreling in, fussing at Shannon for the way she parked the car. "There ya are, boy! What's the craic!" and reached over and ruffled Sheamus's hair. "Aye, ya got your ma's hair for sure, boy." he turned to Reigns. "So this is the Reigns that's been keepin me son up nights? How's she cuttin?" Martin gave Reigns a hearty pat on the back, knocking a bit of the wind out of his lungs. "Good ta finally meet ya, fella."
Reigns seemed to notice that Sheamus didn't have to tell anyone who he was, he just talked about him so much that they already knew. Kaitlyn's words to him rang in his head, and his smile faltered bit as Martin led them both out of the kitchen into the living room, where the children and Ava has long ago left to the yard again, playing an involved game of tag.
"Ah guess since he's meetin us, ya must be rather serious." Martin turned to reigns with a serious look. "What exactly are yar intentions wit me son?" Sheamus sputtered and protested, and Martin held his hands up in resignation. "Sorry, Sorry. Wrong opening question. Ah have two girls, ya understand. Ah'm used ta askin for them. Ah can see your intention by the ring on your hand. Maybe a better question," Martin sat down along with Sheamus and Reigns "Is how do ya know ya are in love wit me son?" Sheamus had no objections to this question, and Reigns grinned and thought for a moment, getting a certain look before opening his mouth to answer. Martin cut him off before he could speak. "Good answer. " That one exchange gave all the answered Martin needed. "True love is always one difficult to put into words."
