The doors opened out wide letting the sun shine in, the red keep had been quite dark since Anastasia had taken it. She pulled on Margery's arm a little tighter as they both waved their hands to greet the crowd it was full of noise but in mass angry noise sounds just like cheering. Anastasia stepped forward next to Tywin who had been brought forth, he was pampered and looking like a nice little lord but Anastasia could feel his scold on her back. She leant back to whisper to him. "Even think of pushing me off and I will personally throw you over the railing." She threatened.

Anastasia noticed as she walked with the Tyrell girl that she dressed rather revealing for a young lady. Anastasia pulled them to a halt just near the edge and as she tried to look down at the faces she wondered who among those in the city that she knew were still alive to see this. The noise began to die down as she once again raised her hand. "People of Kings landing I greet you to say that the tyranny that was Joffery Baratheon's reign is over." I let my voice carry over the assembly and it erupted in cheers. "Today I bring you news of the man which shall serve as your king, I represent the king in the north Robb Stark, son and heir of lord Eddard Stark a man who I knew and remember dearly. All of you who are gathered here today have probably heard of my parentage, many would know me as Anastasia Drackest, the bastard daughter of Robert Baratheon but as it has become public knowledge, so I must also acknowledge that I am the daughter of Imogen Targaryen; the daughter of the mad king. I stand before you today saying that I know the blood and pain which this city has endured from both sides of my family tree, my father was not a good king and my grandfather was a cruel king but I am not either of them. I bring to you many new qualities of my own but also the best of those who have gone before me, I have my father's lust for battle but Aerys caution for war; I enjoy a drink and know the power of fire but I am neither a drunk nor a woman who would ever put anyone to the flames. I have a love for this city and these people, which goes beyond what either of your previous kings had. I was raised on the street of silk, my mother was a whore and I bare no shame in that. Although my blood is filled with that of two dynasties, I am one for you. I have known the joy of being a child that has run from the gold cloaks through these cobbled streets, in the hot summer days I swam in the Blackwater with many children who would now be the adults of today. I wish to lead you as the people of King's Landing, I may not wear a crown upon my head and I may stand behind a northern king but I am the south through and through and will protect you for you are my people." Anastasia broke away Margery and Tywin and head toward the stairs, she descended two before she began to speak again. "Many of you would find it hard to trust me but I stand here willing for you to judge me after the events upon Baelor's Sept, I fled the capital and abandoned you my people. So I stand here in plain sight willing you to judge me, I do not hold gods that all of you share but I do have the morality of anyone within this crowd and beg you to step forth so that I may take your abuse or advice so that we may make this a better city for your children and their children to come. Many of you would see my two companions, the infamous lord Tywin Lannister, a man who fills so many fears that he could never possibly live up to the all, he has been your tormentor and captor but I have come to free you from his grasp, and of course the beautiful Margery Tyrell; she is a woman who I hold in the highest esteem, while I was gone she kept the bloody butcher that was Joffrey away and saved lives with her kindness I hope to treat you half as well as she did. Come forth and let me hear what the people will say."

Anastasia stayed put and waited for the single bravest person in the kingdom to step forward and challenge a woman who had taken the red keep. It came in the form of an old woman, several people tried to push her back and away but the lady just continued onward, one of the few guards which blocked the entryway to the stairs helped her to mount the first one before stopping her. She looked up at Anastasia her eyes glowing balls of hate. "Why do you proceed with this lie, you are a child unfit to rule. You have men, swords and an old name but why should we let a little girl rules us? I am old enough to have lived through the reign of Robert and Aerys, neither was a man fit to be king why would you the unwanted product of their family union be any better? You will steal what is ours like every lord or king has done before."

Anastasia began to walk slowly down the steps. "I am young there is no denying but my young eyes have seen things and my young mind knows things which extend far beyond my lineless face. I respect you for you have had the courage to come forth but I disagree, I will not take more than is necessary from you. No one can take those things from you unless you let them, do you know what is the beauty of being common there are more than the swords can touch, there is great power in those who make up the many for it is ultimately they who decide the fates of this world. What would the lords do if the farmers simply ceased to do so? What power does a soldier have if the blacksmith refuses to forge his steel? What will all the fine ladies wear and do if all the tailors and weavers simply stopped? They would do nothing, for they are nothing without you. A lord is deemed good by the treatment of his people that is how their land remembers them, not by the gold in their purse upon their finale hour or the friends whom they have made to win their life. Never doubt the power which you all possess and in the end possesses us." Anastasia smiled at the woman as she finished her address.

The woman's eyes looked down. "You are a smart one and a pretty one. How are you not married yet my dear?" She laughed and Anastasia felt herself join the woman.

"Does anyone else have business for me or will you the people of King's Landing give me the blessing of being your hand, will your power stay untapped and peaceful until we are no longer fit to lead?" The crowd burst into sound as Anastasia began to climb the steps once again more returning to the balcony so she could wave to the people once last time before being hustled in.

As Anastasia, Margery and Tywin left from public sight they were greeted by one of Anastasia's men. "Anastasia, the queen has escaped." He informed her bracing himself quite worried.

A smile played along her lips. "Oh good; this day has been a success." She took Margery's arm ready to lead her back to her room.

"I'm sorry my lady but I do not understand how the queen escaping is a good thing." Margery said as they walked.

Anastasia huffed amused. "My dear the talents I keep you for have nothing to do with your mouth. I detest that woman and nothing in this world would give me more pleasure than to have her dead and to think that she could be in some filthy gutter somewhere only sweetens the deal." They arrived at the door and Anastasia let the girl go. "I can be quite a spiteful woman, it may be best that you remember that."

As the door closed Anastasia found herself smiling, she didn't want another want to be queen on her hands.

Author's Note: I'm sorry to anyone who has been waiting for this but life is very hectic at the moment and I have so much to do, I hope to update more often but with exams around the corner don't hold me to it.
