Daryl pulled to a stop in front of the church and felt Michonne get off of the bike, taking out the two walkers that were still hanging around with a swift slash of the katana. He skimmed the ground around where he stopped and then hopped off himself.

"So Loverboy, what does the necklace look like?" Michonne asked with a smirk as she turned back to face him. Daryl grunted, pushing into her arm as he walked by her, still looking at the ground.

"It's blue, with a heart looking thing" Daryl tried explaining. Michonne nodded, understanding that jewelry was not really his thing and started looking as well. After a few moments, Daryl saw something gleam out of the corner of his eye and walked over. As he bent down, he smiled as he saw the necklace and the note he had written her, laying side by side on the ground.

"Got it" He exclaimed as he held up the necklace, quickly putting the note into his pocket. Michonne was already giving him a hard time, he didn't need her finding out he was writing Beth love notes as well. He would never live that down. Michonne looked up and smiled at the necklace as the sunlight bounced off of it.

"It's really pretty" Michonne said as she watched it sparkle. Daryl smiled at her and placed the necklace in his pocket. He took one last look at the church…..the place he lost Beth and the place that they got closer than he had ever been with anybody…..then hopped back on the bike. Michonne followed closely behind, both ready to get back to their family.

"How are Beth and Eugene?" Rick asked as Bob walked out onto the porch. Bob looked from Rick to Carol and sighed.

"Beth is ok. She was a little dehydrated, which was the reason for her dizziness. Carl is in there with her now and told me that he would have her drink. He wouldn't leave her side, even while I was examining her. Something about Daryl not being here and being his responsibility. Her bruise is superficial and should fade in a few weeks." Bob said as he leaned up against the railing of the porch.

"Good, that's great news. And the Carl thing, it's nothing against you. Daryl asked him a long time ago to protect Beth when he couldn't and he has taken that on without looking back. " Rick said with a laugh. Bob and Carol both smiled at him.

"And Eugene?" Carol asked after a few moments.

"He came around once, saw the blood and passed out again. He has a broken nose, two black eyes and most likely a concussion. He didn't stay awake long enough for me to check. Abraham really did a number on him" Bob continued with a sigh.

"I really can't blame him" Carol stated from her seat on the porch.

"Yeah, I don't know if I would have handled it…." Rick started and then stopped when his ears picked up the sound of the motorcycle coming up the gravel road.

"Well this is it" Rick said as he saw Daryl and Michonne come around the corner. He turned to Carol and gave her a faint smile before turning back to Bob.

"You might want to go in" Rick said as he motioned toward Daryl and then back at the house. Bob nodded, understanding exactly what they were going to do and he wanted no parts of the redneck when he found out what had happened. He turned and headed back into the house.

"Wonder what this is about" Michonne said as she saw Bob rush inside and Rick and Carol both stand and start heading toward them. Daryl looked up and watched them both. He got off of the bike as a pit formed in his stomach.

"How'd it go?" Rick asked. Daryl nodded and patted his pocket, letting him know he got it.

"We get the welcome wagon?" Michonne joked, but then noticed the look on Rick's face. She knew that look.

"What's wrong?" She asked, worry taking over both her and Daryl's faces.

"Well, there was an incident today." Rick started

"What kinda incident? Is Beth ok?" he asked, not being able to hide the panic that had taken over his body.

"She is ok now…"Rick started but stopped as Daryl started to rush past him. Him and Carol both moved to block him.

"Move" he commanded, his voice low and booming.

"Not until you hear out what happened. We don't need you going in there all insane" Carol said calmly, placing her hand on his arm. He pulled his arm away in a huff and turned back around.

"What happened?" Michonne asked as Daryl started packing back and forth, like a caged animal.

"Well it started with Abraham, Beth, Maggie and Glenn discussing DC. When the discussion turned into a full blown screaming match between Abraham, Maggie, Glenn and Rosita, Eugene spoke up and stated that it had all been a lie, that he didn't have the cure." Carol started. She saw Michonne's shoulders drop just a little and Daryl stopped pacing and looked at her.

"I knew that mullet freak didn't know the cure" Daryl said with a sneer, then he looked back to them.

"So what happened after?" Daryl continued, waiting for the rest of the part that involved Beth. That pit was still in his stomach and was growing bigger.

"Abraham went off on Eugene, started really beating the hell out of him. Well Beth went to move Maggie out of the way of Abraham's swinging arms and he elbowed Beth in the face" Rick continued, seeing the instance when Daryl registered his words. He saw the flash of anger that took over his face.

"He did what?" Daryl said slowly, his fists and teeth both clenched.

"It was an accident Daryl. He felt really sorry after and has apologized to her. She has a bruise on her cheek but other than that, she is fine." Carol said softly as she looked at him. She knew that look too and knew what he was about to do.

"He apologized? You think that makes it better? Where the hell were you at when this happened?" he growled, looking at Rick.

"I was on watch, doing a perimeter check. I didn't know anything was going on until I heard Carl fire his gun. I ran back in then. Carl had Abraham at gunpoint, Tyrese had him in a choke hold and Maggie was holding Beth. " Rick explained. He didn't blame Daryl for his anger. Hell, he wanted to knock Abraham out as well for what happened, but he knew that it was an accident.

"Carl held a gun on him? Good boy!" Michonne said, a little smile creeping across her face. Rick and Carol both nodded.

"Beth didn't want you going after him. She asked us to talk to you, let you know what happened and explain that it was an accident. She feels bad for the guy" Carol started, but was interrupted by Daryl's grunt.

"Course she would. Always seein the good" Daryl said as he started pacing again.

"Where is she?" he asked, after a few minutes of thinking.

"In your room. Carl is in there with her now. He has not left her side…ya know that whole Daryl is not here, so I'm protecting you thing" Rick said with a little smile. Daryl smiled just a tad, grateful that Carl was with her and pushed past them to go toward the house. Rick reached out and grabbed Daryl's arm.

"Don't worry, I'm not going to touch him" Daryl said thru gritted teeth. Rick nodded, not really believing him but he knew he could not keep Daryl away from her any longer. He was thankful that Abraham was out back, working on repairing part of the fence and blowing off the rest of his steam.

"yet" Daryl finished as he flung the door open and walked inside. He saw Tara and Rosita sitting beside a very bruised and bloody Eugene, trying to get the rest of the blood off of his face. They all looked up at him when he barged in. He shook his head in disgust at Eugene and took off up the stairs. As he got to the door, he swung it open, causing Carl and Beth to both look up in stunned surprise from the board game they were playing on her bed. She started to smile at him, but then winced from the pain of the bruise, gently placing her fingers on it and that was all it took. She saw the anger flash in his eyes again as he looked from her eyes to the bruise and back again.

"That man is dead" he growled as he turned and took off down the stairs
