A/N: Still continuing over from the previous two prompts, "Skilled" and "Swordsman". And the next chapter may be posted late. I'll be visiting my sister starting from tomorrow and until Sunday, so we'll see how it goes.
Warnings: Still talking about divorce and such, but there's nothing else of note, really.
Dedications: To Ghostwriter and Lauren.
Disclaimer: See chapter 1.
Mangoes and Limes
Prompt 69: War
"Are. We. Clear?" Roxas ground out again, eyes still burning into Axel.
Xion wished she could look away from them. She wished that Axel would say something and return to normal and be the happier, more careless best friend that she was used to.
More than that, she wished that she could help him, because he was in pain. But she couldn't. In Axel's view, Xion couldn't truly understand. Her mother hadn't left her dad to marry another man. Xion's parents had never betrayed her like he believed that his parents had, stranding him in the middle of a battle.
