Deli Cry, 14, D9

I walked in nervously. I was really hoping my ball and spikes was going to be there. Otherwise I can kiss my training score goodbye.

"Wecome Miss Cry. Please when you are ready", called a woman's voice.

I could see all the basic weapons. But not mine one.
Swords, knifes, spears. Plenty of them. More then necessary actually.
I finally found my ball. But there was only one.

I picked it up and walked over to the matt where the dummies were.

I swung it across my head, and with perfect persistion managed to aim my spiked ball into the head of my dummy.
I went and got it. And yanked it out of the hand. I did this about 7 times, before I felt confident that they knew it wasn't a fluke.

I then built them a fire, protecting the smoke, and explaining why smoke is a sure way of getting yourself killed, and that if I find any smoke, I will find the source and kill them with my spiked ball.

"Your dismissed Miss Cry".

I sat waiting. I wondered if I had impressed them enough. I felt for something I learned over 3 days I had done myself proud.

Deli achieved a score of….7", called Caesar from the Tv.

I smiled. That was 1 score beneath was in considered a career training score, which is good enough for me.

David Bennett, 13, D9

I knew what I had on offer wasn't going to be highly appreciated by the Gamemakers, but to be honest, it has got to the point where I really don't care much anymore. I know I am probably going to die when I make it into the arena, so I whatever my score is, I don't really want it to be the judgment of my death.

When I walked in, I wasn't sure if I was supposed to introduce myself, but I felt I didn't really want to explain myself to the capitol, so I headed straight over to the paints.

I quickly painted my canvas behind me, it took me 10 minutes, but the Gamemakers seemed intruiged all the same. I then painted myself, I had to be very carefully done, and accurate, but I had spent about 3 days making sure I knew how to do it perfectly.

When I had finished and blended in, I heard some gasps which confirmed to me what I was doing to right.

"He has basically vanished", called someone.

I walked up to the Gamemakers.

"I am not very skilled on fighting, but if I get hold off a knife, and hide the way you can see I can, there jumping out and stabbing another tribute on surprise shouldn't be too difficult".

"You may go Mr Bennett".

…..

I don't know if the Gamemakers liked what I had said. I don't image it sounding very exciting telling them I can hide.

Deli got an impressive score, and I would like to match it, but I know she used the ball, so I dread to think what I will make.

"David… gains a score of…. 5", called Caesar.

I shrug. That's not as bad as I expected it to be.

Angel Fairway, 18, D10

I waltz into the training room. I can tell by the look on all of their faces that they have been quite bored.

"Nice to meet you all", I announce.

"Pleasure is the same", called a unfamiliar voice from the middle. "Please begin when ready".

I gave a bow.

I looked at all the dummies around me, and knew I will have to slaughter them and rip them to pieces to make any kind of impact. But I don't know if I will be able to do so once in the arena to another tribute. I am a skilled fighter, but can I really kill someone?

I looked at the dummies, and realized this just won't do. I want real people.

I turn back to the Gamemakers. "Excuse me, but can I have some trainers to fight please".

One nods and does a hand movement and some trainers emerge from another room.

I grab a sword, spear and knifes and run towards the trainers.

It is 3 against 1 but I hold myself well, stabbing one in the shoulder (even though it won't affect them as they have special pads on) and another in the leg.
I then spear another one tripping him over before stabbing him in the back, and then swipe the third with my knofe.

Once I am done, all three trainers are down on the floor, indicating to the Gamemakers that if in the arena, all three of them would be truly dead by now.

"Very good Miss Fairway… You may go".

I strut out of the room, feeling quite proud of myself. District 10 hasn't had a high scorer in years… even our only mentor only scored a 6.

….

Sitting on the chair, I glance at Raven, so is stony faced. My guess would be he didn't do too well.

I turn back to the tv, the careers were normally high and there was a surprise from district 8 when young Avalon scored a 9.

"Angel with a score of… 10", called Caesar

I smirk proudly. I knew it was coming.

I wonder how long I will stay with the careers. Long enough to let them help me I guess. I wonder how I will sneak away from them. Might try and get rid of one before I go, if I can hack it that is.

Raven Morris, 13, D10

I go in and inspect my options of weapons and stations.

I decide to tell the Gamemakers what I knew about edible plants, and I could tell I was boring them, when one of them yawned… loudly.

I huffed. "I am guessing you don't care that I can survive with my fruits… fine lets do some weights".

They all seemed to have sat up straight after my little outburst. I picked up the nearest and heaviest weight, and threw it. It landed with a huge thump about 50 cm's away.

I grab little ones and lob them at great disatances. I then grab knifes and just throw them, not aiming at anything in particular.

I finish my little frienzy rant and look at the Gamemakers. All of which seem a little dumbfounded.

"That will be all Mr. Morris", one calls and I stomp out.

…..

I sit on the sofa, still annoyed with how the training session went.

"What's the matter with you", River asked.

I frown. "Gamemakers. Just rude", I answered.

River laughed.

"Why?".

"I tried to tell them what I knew and they blatently didn't care".

River laughed again. "Did you show them your strength?".

"Yes, in a rage.

"Good". He answered still giggling.

"Raven scores a…. 7".

I blink a couple of times registering the number. 7 huh. Not bad. Okay its not Angels 10. But it suits me.

Please Review your thoughts :)
