I'M BACK! OMG GUYS! I know...I know. It's felt like years since I last updated this story. My computer messed up and I was suffering a dry spell but I was able to pull myself out. I hope you guys are still into the story. I was able to read all the PMs some of you sent me but I was unable to respond, so I apologize for that. The story doesn't have many chapters left so I decided to finish it all out. Hope you all will continue to read. I still appreciate all the support. Love you guys. XO.
"Where the hell is she?" Dean asked in complete panic. He looked over at Seth and watched the way the tears streamed down his cheeks. He immediately reached over and tried to wipe them away.
Roman let go of Seth's hand and went to find a nurse. They needed an explanation on what the hell was going on.
"Babe, you need to relax, c'mon." Dean rubbed Seth's chest soothingly because he was starting to breath heavy. "Seth, take it easy. Everything-" Dean stopped mid sentence when they heard the door of the restroom open. They looked over and saw Pam walk out, wearing the same dress she wore before they admitted her all those months ago.
"Mom!" Seth exclaimed and ran into her arms. He sobbed on her shoulder and held her tightly.
"Baby what's wrong? Why are you crying? The twins are okay, right?" Pam was really concerned for Seth. She could feel his chest rising and falling at a fast pace.
Seth nodded and pulled away. "I just...the bed, empty. I-I thought..." Rollins couldn't speak and could only mumble words in between breaths. He had thought the worst.
Pam's eyes widened a bit after realizing what got Seth so upset. "Oh baby, it's okay. I'm here. The doctor discharged me. I just couldn't wait to get out of that hospital gown." She chuckled softly as she pulled away. She ran her fingers through her son's soft hair and gave him a warm smile. "I'm okay now. Everything is okay. No more crying alright?"
Seth smiled and hugged her again. "I'm so glad you're finally getting out of here. I'm proud of you mom...for staying strong and fighting."
"It's good to see you like this, Pam. You look great...and healthy." Dean gave her a hug as well.
Roman eventually made it back to the room and was relieved to see that Pam was good to go. They signed some last minute discharge papers and went to the elevators. They met up with Phil and Leah in the lobby before leaving the hospital...all of them hoping they would never have to go there again other than for Seth's check ups and for whenever he gave birth.
"I think we should celebrate." Seth commented as they all walked towards the parking lot. "Ooo, I'll cook dinner for all of us. Phil, you'll bring John with you, of course." Seth was instructing rather than asking. Phil didn't mind though. He and John would be more than happy to celebrate Pam's successful fight against cancer. He could tell that Seth was happy and proud of his mother. "Oh, I need to go to the grocery store."
"I'll go with." his mom offered but Seth immediately shook his head.
"No way. You should head to the house and rest. Dean can go with me and Roman can stay home with you and Leah." Pam just sighed and nodded. There was no arguing with Seth when he was this determined.
Dean and Seth got out of the car and started walking towards the grocery store. Apparently Dean wasn't walking fast enough because Seth grabbed his hand and dragged him forward. "Deeeean! Hurry up!"
Dean chuckled and started walking faster. "What's the big rush Seth? We got all day."
"No we don't. The sooner we get back to the house, the more time I have to make this dinner. It has to be perfect. This will be the first proper meal my mom will have since getting out of the hospital. It has to be perfect." Seth repeated.
"Alright, alright. Let's get to it pretty boy." Dean wrapped an arm around Seth's waist as they entered the store. He shook his head and chuckled as Seth immediately grabbed a cart and started throwing stuff in it.
Meanwhile back at the house, Roman and Pam were setting the dinner table while Leah played in her play pen. "It's really good to see you around the house again, Pam. We missed you." Roman commented.
Pam smiled and patted Roman on the forearm. "I missed being here too. You have no idea."
A couple hours later, Seth was cooking as if his life depended on it. He wouldn't allow Dean, Roman, nor Pam to help him; claiming he could do it on his own. Once John and Phil arrived, they settled in the living room and watched TV in the mean time. They discussed further wedding plans. Phil revealed that he and John decided to taking classes on how to parent a child, just how Seth suggested. They figured it couldn't hurt. It would probably even look good on their part whenever they were ready to adopt.
"Okay guys, dinner is ready!" Seth exclaimed from the kitchen.
"Awesome." Dean said as he grabbed Leah from the play pen. He went to the dinner table and placed his daughter in the high chair. He turned to the dinner table and licked his lips at the sight of all the food. Everything looked so good.
"Honey, this looks delicious." Pam kissed Seth on the cheek, then sat down. Seth beamed and went to sit next to his mom.
"Before we eat, I want to make a toast." Roman announced. "For Pam, who fought cancer and won. Also for all the good things to come. The twins, the wedding, and football of course. We're getting that championship, brother." He said towards John. Everyone chuckled and clicked their glasses together.
For the longest time, Seth wanted his family back together again, under the same room and it finally happened. He watched every single person sitting at the dinner table and smiled with appreciation. He was lucky to have those amazing people in his life. He rubbed his belly as he was feeling anxious for the twins to be born already.
"Oh..." Seth said and suddenly frowned, his hand still on his swollen belly.
