OOO
Sitting in the attic claw-footed bathtub and gazing at the semi-nude painting she had done of Alex all those months ago, hanging above, she layered her leg with shaving gel, smiling to herself. With her head plastic-wrapped, a thick layering of coconut conditioner working on her hair, she picked up the razor from the curved edge of the porcelain tub and then ran the blade slowly over her knee, continuing up and down her leg with smooth strokes, as she thought about her work she had completed over the past ten years at the precinct.
Cragen had asked her if she was coming back; had told her that the door was always open for her. Although she missed the excitement, the comradery, the unity of being part of the ensemble of a unit such as special victims, she knew that the opportunity to continue working at Haven House, and help the victims there, and work with the hours they had offered her, had been a blessing in disguise.
When she thought of the accident that helped land this position for her—the one where she got kicked in the lower back in the early days of her pregnancy—she had known, then and there, that being a detective, a police officer, with its physical demands and danger, wasn't a possibility any longer. Their son and his future sisters or brothers were far too important to risk them not growing up with both mothers who loved them more than life itself.
She finished that leg, dunking the razor beneath the water, before lowering it beneath the warm liquid, and continuing to the other, listening to John Mayer sing a live version of Waiting on the World to Change.
Olivia smiled thinking about Fin and Melinda and how she was so happy for them to have found each other again as she and Alex had found each other. To know that they had already had a relationship right underneath their noses for all of those years was endearing. The attraction had always been there, the love, and the connection—just like she and her wife.
The fact that Tutuola and Warner were getting married only added to the perfection of two of the most favorite people in she and her wife's lives.
Now, if they could only find Casey someone, it would be perfect…
Olivia dunked the razor beneath the warm bath water again and then took it to her underarms, still thinking, as John Mayer now sang a cover about free falling.
It was a Wednesday evening and she had left Alex in the living room reading with Theo on her chest when the brunette was told—no, commanded—by her loving wife, after cooking a dinner of grilled chicken and spinach salads, to go upstairs and take the bath she had been craving for a couple of weeks.
The blonde had come home early that day—two o'clock—with a headache and complete exhaustion, admitting to Olivia to falling asleep at her desk several times that morning. So Olivia had gotten her wife's bath ready and then the blonde took a two-hour nap before dinner, and now Alex was wide awake.
So, with Alex horizontal on the sofa downstairs, Theo laying on her chest, as the blonde read from the latest Iris Johansen novel, Olivia had kissed her softly and come up the stairs, saying she wouldn't be long—a small escape and time to think, as the warm liquid and scent of lavender filled the steamy bathroom space.
If Alex knew that her wife was actually on the top floor, choosing to take advantage of the quaintness of the attic bathroom, she knew she would have been up to the top floor in a flash. After all, the fantasy of Olivia being sprawled out naked in the sunlight had not yet come to fruition, although they had already christened the room, itself, on Valentine's evening.
Olivia was planning that event for this weekend, though. She had strategically mapped out the specific locations of the sun and its movements and when the glow and the rays would be exactly upon the white comforter—1:34 p.m. The brunette had figured this out one afternoon while reading with Theo spread out next to her as she read the paper and completed a crossword puzzle.
Upon her discovery, she knew that she would somehow have to lure her wife up at that exact point in time.
Right now, being eight o'clock in the evening, the sunlight had passed for the day. But Olivia had plans for the seduction taking place one day very soon—most likely the weekend.
Olivia took the stopper from the drain and then stood from the bath, wrapping herself in one of the plush avocado green towels from the rack—matching the sink base, of course—and stepped from the tub.
She exited the bathroom and smiled at what she saw—Alex and Theo lying on the low, floor-level king bed—Alex on her left side, head propped up by her left elbow, Theo sitting up next to her, as he clumsily turned the front cover of The Hungry, Hungry Caterpillar, the blonde rubbing his back as he smiled at the first pages, his eyes wide at the vivid colors.
Alex read, trying to read around their boy's tiny hands slapping on the pages, "On Monday, he ate through one apple…" she tried to see around his chubby hand before he lifted the book and began chewing the corner.
Olivia held her hand over her mouth and laughed at the cuteness.
Alex angled her head down to read the next page, twisting her neck to read it upside-down, as Theo was now bouncing up and down, his mouth still enveloping the corner. She continued, "…but he was still very hungry."
Alex looked up at Olivia and smirked, obviously feeling refreshed, that playful demeanor and those Cabot glasses so very charming and irresistible. "I heard the water from farther away…I knew you were up here…it has a different sound than our bathroom…" She smiled and patted the space to the left of Theo gently, "Come here…"
Olivia grinned broadly and stepped to the bed, securing the corner of her towel and then climbing on gently and laying on her right side, head propped up, as well, "Keep going…"
Alex continued, Theo now allowing the book to be held on his lap as he looked at the two green pears on the left side of the page, "On Tuesday, he ate through two pears…but he was still very hungry…"
Olivia relaxed a little more, lowering her head to rest it on the pillows and still watching mother and son, her eyes tearing now. She reached out and fingered Theo's soft mocha curls. His hair had gotten so long in the past couple of months and she loved the shiny, healthy tendrils on their baby boy.
Alex turned the page, "On Wednesday, he ate three plums…but he was still hungry."
Alex turned again, a huge rumble of gas coming from both Alex and their son.
"Shut up, Olivia…" Alex focused on the book, Olivia not able to keep herself from laughing silently.
Obviously relieved from his sputtering and liking the next page of the book, Theo cooed, "zsab, zsab, zsab, zsab!"
Alex said, "He knows strawberries, Liv…I think zsab is strawberries…he should know the word, we say it over and over every time he eats them…" She continued, "On Thursday, he ate through four strawberries…but he was still hungry."
"Zsab-aba, Mama!" Theo shouted, his body jolting excitedly as he said it, before he smiled at each mother on either side of him and then broke out in forced, hilarious laughter. "Ha…ha…ha!" he said loudly, over-emphasizing each syllable.
"Al…he's doing that thing you do to me when I make a joke and you don't think it's funny…when you say, 'ha, ha, ha…very funny, Liv'…"
Alex smiled, "I think you're right…when they say babies are like sponges…they're not lying…I can't believe he's almost ten months now, Liv…"
Olivia stroked his cheek with her forefinger, "You two are gonna be two peas in a pod…" Olivia looked at Alex and Theo, "…making fun of me, sarcasm exuding, kicking my hiney at trivia…"
Their baby was now leaning back against the blonde, Alex enveloping him with her arm, blue eyes still smiling, looking at Olivia sweetly, his eyelids drooping now. The book had now been forgotten.
Olivia studied both of them for a moment before holding up her forefinger and smiling and rolling over to the side table, opening the drawer, and taking out a pair of tortoise-shell reading glasses that she didn't want to admit that she was beginning to need—especially for fine print of crosswords, novels, her Kindle, and some online news stories and magazines. She opened the stems and gently placed them on the tip of Theo's nose and then grabbed her Canon camera from the same white, distress-painted, bed stand—she had been taking photos of the sunlight and of the street that earlier day—and stood back, holding the camera about six inches from her face.
She lowered the camera now to her stomach, her eyes tearing once again, looking at Alex and Theo both in their dark-framed glasses, "My little nerds…I love you…" she said softly.
"He and I in Jeopardy, Liv…better watch out…" Alex smiled.
Olivia took a series of photos—some with Theo's eyes open, some with him drifting off to sleep, yet again.
… … … … … …
Olivia felt arms slither around her waist from behind as she prepared half of a turkey and Swiss wrap sandwich for her wife. She watched to her left as a pale, slender hand placed the baby monitor on the counter before hot breath was felt on her neck, then the gentleness of the blonde's soft mouth applying pressure, her tender tongue lingering.
Olivia smiled, leaning her head back onto the blonde's shoulder, "I was gonna bring this to you, Al…"
Alex grabbed Olivia's waist and turned her around almost forcefully, mouth close, "Fourteen weeks pregnant, Babe…ultimate arousal has set in…and I need you right now…"
"Hop up, Babe…" Olivia smiled, patting the blonde's hips.
"No…I want to taste you…I want to look at and feel you, Liv…"
Olivia heard the yearning in her wife's voice. "Oh, Alex…" she whispered. Olivia took her hands to Alex's breasts in front of her squeezing gently, "Maybe I can turn the tables?" The brunette ran her thumbs over silk-covered, pebbled nipples, Alex smiling and moaning.
"So sensitive…so turned on, Liv…" Alex pulled Olivia closer, hands pulling her by her backside.
Hands groping from both women, deep kissing ensued, hair tangled, heavy breathing. Olivia smiled and pulled away slowly, looking at the flushed, out-of-breath face in front of her.
Olivia knelt now, untying the blonde's robe ties, her wife nude beneath. Olivia's mouth went straight to her mound, taking in the scent of her wife's arousal, briefly admiring the neat, now-rectangular strip of dark blonde hair—which had been a heart last month. The brunette opened her mouth and let her tongue move in a slow, excruciatingly sensual lapping motion, running the length of her wife's slit bottom to top, Alex's hands going to the top of her head, fingertips resting on her crown. Alex shuddered, her grip tightening ever-so-slightly.
Olivia stopped briefly, "I win…" She smiled and continued working, tongue entering her wife now.
"Feel free, Liv…" Alex breathed, head tilting back even further as Olivia began working her tongue inside, deeper each time. She looked up, smiling at the blonde who was panting.
"More…I'm almost there, Babe…"
Olivia began a flicking motion, working Alex's clit with quick laps, tongue encircling the needy bud ready for release.
With a tilting of her hips, Alex gasped, one last touch and the blonde trembled around her, legs barely able to hold her up as her body spasmed. Alex gripped the counter behind her now, her breathing heavy, eyes closed.
Olivia stood slowly, hands feeling the blonde's calves, thighs, hips, waist, now-rounded belly, as she stood, kissing as she made her way up her body.
Alex took her now, in an embrace, the blonde's body still vibrating against her, "I love you, Olivia," she whispered, her voice full of raw emotion.
"I love you, Baby…"
"I love you, Al…I'll get your sandwich…"
They sat at the kitchen table together, Olivia eyeing her wife as she ate.
"You don't want any?"
Olivia shook her head, "All for you, babe…"
"Mmm…good…" Alex swallowed.
"I was thinking about Casey…"
"Hopefully not while you were doing that…" Alex took another bite.
"No, Babe…before…when I was in the bath…We need to find her someone…someone good for her, you know?"
Alex nodded, practically gulping the wrap down, mustard oozing from the corner of her mouth.
Olivia reached over and wiped it with her thumb before the blonde grabbed her hand and sucked it off, smirking. "Jesus, Alex…
"Jesus, yourself, Olivia…" she shook her head, "…you're amazing…"
Olivia just smiled, watching as her wife finished her sandwich.
… … … … … …
AAA
Alex sat with her chin in her hand at her desk in her office at noon on the Friday of the same week, the low light causing her mind and body to relax more than it already was. This was the time of day that she couldn't seem to keep her eyes open or her body from drifting into a sporadic slumber lately.
A light knock was heard on her office door and she looked up, face brightening at what she saw.
Olivia pushed the door open, Theo in her arms, the brunette holding a brown paper bag in her hand, fabric diaper bag slung over her shoulder, "Hey, Babe…ready for lunch?"
"Hey, Liv…" she stood and walked around her desk to greet them, kissing Theo first and then looking at her gorgeous wife who was still in her work clothing of an off-white silk half-placket blouse and tight black jeans, hugging those voluptuous curves, her hair down and straightened.
"Mama!" Theo cooed, his tiny arms reaching for the blonde.
"Yes, Mama!" Olivia said cheerfully, handing off their healthy boy to her wife.
"It melts me whenever he says that, Liv…" she smiled, beginning to bounce him as she leaned forward and kissed Olivia gently.
"Me, too…Hungry?" Olivia asked, setting the bag on her desk.
Another knock on the door. They both turned to find Elizabeth Donnelly and Petrovsky in the doorway.
"We saw Olivia and that precious boy of yours walk in. We had to say 'hi'…" Donnelly said softly.
"Look at this guy…" Petrovsky said sweetly, "…he's beautiful…takes after his mothers…" she winked.
"How about we join you in the conference room…Liz got lunch…I see Olivia brought lunch…what do you say? We can talk."
Olivia looked at Alex, smiling. Alex nodded slightly, "Sounds good…"
"Conference room C…in a few minutes?"
"We'll be there…" Alex said, smiling at Olivia.
They turned and left the room, Olivia looking at Alex.
"Is that OK? I know you brought lunch for us to spend time together…"
Olivia leaned forward and kissed the blonde softly, "It's more than OK, Babe…let's go…"
Petrovsky and Donnelly headed down the hallway and Olivia turned to her wife. "This should be fun…do you think they have anything, particular, to chat with us about?"
"No…do you?"
"I don't know, Babe…"
Thomas was now at the door, "Mrs. Benson-Cabot?"
Olivia snickered as Alex's assistant became instantly nervous at the brunette's presence. Olivia already knew of his past enamoring, and knew that he still had a soft spot for the blonde attorney.
"Yes, Thomas?"
"The file you just sent me…instead of the plaintiff's name…" he walked closer, showing her an open file folder he was holding in his hands, "…look…" He pointed to a few words.
Alex had typed Olivia instead of the woman's name that she was representing, which was Loretta.
"Oh…" Alex said softly, "….I'll have to fix that later…"
Thomas smiled, "Good to see you, Olivia…"
"You, too, Thomas…"
Alex could see her wife's interest as she took the bag and Alex led the way out of the door.
"What was that?"
Alex turned and smiled as they now walked side-by-side down the corridor to the conference room, "I typed your name, Liv…instead of the woman I am representing."
Olivia laughed, "Oh, Alex…bad, bad…"
"Olivia…give me a break…as turned on as I am all the time, as much as I think of you throughout the day…please…"
"OK, Al…I'll let it go…caught red-handed, Babe…" Olivia kissed her cheek just before they entered the room, Donnelly and Petrovsky already having begun their meal.
It appeared they both had salads in clear, plastic containers.
Olivia and Alex sat next to each other, the brunette beginning to take two white boxes from the bag along with black individually wrapped plastic ware.
"Bots! Bots!" Theo spouted.
"Yes…box, Theo!" Olivia encouraged, opening Alex's container for her, revealing two Vietnamese spring rolls and a noodle salad next to it. She opened her own, as well.
"Smart boy…" Liz offered. "Sub-poe-na…" she leaned in, saying it slowly.
Alex laughed, "How about we start simple…like object and here say…"
"That'll come, later, right, Babe?" Olivia smiled.
"Of course…"
"So, Alex…almost four months now…it's the middle of May and you're due, when?" Donnelly forked some salad.
"The doctor says October tenth but Olivia delivered two weeks before her due date, so…October some time…"
"Have you thought about working when you get closer to term?" Petrovsky took a sip of her iced tea.
"Mmmm…" Alex took a bite of her spring roll, chewing and swallowing before answering. "I hope to work up until the end…if all goes right…"
Alex looked at Olivia, smiling. "Olivia was put on bed rest or, at least off of work, the last two months…I hope I can go further…health permitting."
"I plan to keep her fat and healthy, too…" Olivia added, forking a bit of noodles and shoving them into her mouth.
At this point, Petrovsky had finished her salad, "Let me take him so you two can eat…"
Alex stood, meeting the dark-haired judge halfway and handed him off, their boy looking at her as though looking at a lit up Christmas tree for the first time.
"He's mesmerized," Olivia added, smiling.
"If you ever need a babysitter…" Donnelly winked.
"Bah-bo!"
"Yes, your bottle, Theo…" Olivia reached into the shoulder bag she had set on the floor and pulled out a bottle of her expressed milk. "Do you mind?" she asked Petrovsky.
"Not at all…" She took the bottle and began feeding their son.
"Alexandra…financially, you could stop at the last three months, correct?" Liz asked now.
Alex swallowed a mouthful of noodles, "Yeah…absolutely…"
She looked at Olivia, who appeared shocked.
They had already spent so much on the town house, the new furniture, and now Alex was saying that they wouldn't be hard up if she didn't work for a little while. Olivia had no idea of the extent of their wealth, especially with her parents' already offering to help and support with funds. They wanted their daughter's first child and delivery and care giving to be something that she and Olivia didn't worry about.
"I could if we wanted…"
"Have you thought about a DA position?" Liz asked.
She looked at Olivia, studying her reaction, the brunette still in awe at the last comment, "Not yet…I want to see what happens first…I know the DA has slightly less hours but Olivia and I haven't discussed it yet…" Alex took Olivia's left hand with her right, clasping it in her own, "I only want to enjoy this pregnancy before I pop out two more babies…right, Liv?"
"Absolutely…and I plan on helping you the whole way, Babe…"
… … … … … …
OOO
Olivia pressed the send icon on her phone, awaiting her wife's response. She had texted, Meet me in the attic…on this Saturday afternoon, Fin and Melinda having taken Theo to the park for an hour. She was about fulfill Alex's fantasy before they ordered pizza and spent time with the future Tutuola-Warner clan.
Olivia heard footsteps on the stairs now, praying it was her wife. The brunette was lying on her back, completely nude, arms and legs spread as Mariah Carey sang about a butterfly.
Upon seeing her wife in the doorway, she smiled, reaching forward toward her, "Hey, Baby…"
Alex began undressing almost immediately, losing her khaki shorts and tank almost instantly. "God, Olivia…" She approached the bed, now completely nude, the blonde's rounded belly now more than evident.
"What, Al? This is what you've been thinking about, right?"
Alex nodded and slipped in next to her wife, "More than anything…"
Olivia knew that the sunlight was splayed across her body, the perfect time for her wife to enter and see her lying so lasciviously on her back—just as Alex wanted.
"God, I want to take a photo so badly…"
"Take one…" Olivia motioned for the camera, still on the night stand.
Alex rolled over and lifted the camera, turning toward the brunette now and taking a few photos before hastily placing it back on the night stand and returning to her wife.
Alex now lifted her leg, over Olivia's upper thighs, "This is for you, Liv…"
Olivia moaned, "Whatever you say, Al…" she smiled.
Alex now began kissing Olivia's neck, collar bone, breasts, Olivia stroking her wife's back, arms, and backside as she continued. Olivia spread her legs now, bent at the knees, and enjoyed what her wife was now doing to her. Alex relished her body, taking her time at pleasing both breasts, tonguing her belly, sucking on her hips before settling in between her legs.
Olivia whispered, "I want to kiss you, Baby…"
Alex lifted herself upward now, and took her mouth to Olivia's, searching, mouths open, soft lips searching as Alex's fingers went to the brunette's warmth.
"Yeah…Baby…" Olivia tried, feeling her wife's fingers as they began working against her lower lips gently.
"You're so sexy, Olivia…I think about you all the time at work, Babe…even in my sleep…"
Olivia tilted her head back, "Yeah? Tell me more…"
"You know that, Olivia…I can't stop thinking about you…especially now, Babe…"
"Uhhhh," Olivia moaned as Alex moved back downward, taking her mouth to the brunette's lower lips and entire mons area, sucking softly. Olivia's breath sped up as Alex's mouth began working. "More, Babe…"
Alex slipped two fingers inside now, continuing her motions with her mouth, taking cues from Olivia's breathing, from her moaning, Olivia's fingers now entangled in the blonde's hair.
Alex stopped now, looking up and smiling at Olivia and caressing her belly with her left hand before grabbing it and then settling her mouth on her core once again.
"Alex…" Olivia moaned, her hips bucking upward, tilted her core closer to her wife as Alex's motions increased.
Olivia panted now, so close to a release. Within seconds, her body was bucking above her wife's mouth as Alex brought her down from an intense orgasm.
Once they both relaxed, Alex moved upward, looking into the brunette's eyes, the blueness in the blonde's incomparable.
Olivia smiled and then closed her eyes, "You're incredible…"
Alex shook her head, "On the contrary…"
… … … … … …
"We have to get up…" Olivia said softly, Alex's head resting on her breast.
"I know, "Alex whispered.
"Your parents come tomorrow…through Tuesday?"
"Yeah…"
"Sunday, Monday, Tuesday…three days…"
"Yeah…"
"How is it you can talk right now but I can't?" Alex laughed.
Olivia smiled.
"My brother's coming in from Miami for a few days, too…he called today…"
"Hmmm." Olivia leaned further back into the pillows, "Let the fun begin…"
"Oh, he'll be well-behaved around my parents…"
"We'll see, Babe…we'll see…"
… … … … … …
"Which room do you what to stay in?" Alex asked, obviously growing tired of her mother's indifference and nonchalant demeanor.
"Well, what do we have to choose from?" she asked, holding Theo, their brunette boy trying to grab a gold, lariat necklace from Mrs. Cabot's neck.
"It depends on the theme you want…downstairs—blue and white damask, attic, shabby chic ocean beach cottage, or front guest bedroom on the second floor, mahogany Quaker motif. Your pick…" Alex offered.
"I suppose we'll take the room where we'll be less trouble…"
Olivia looked at Alex, who looked like she might strangle someone.
"How about the front guest room, on the second level with us, Mom…" Alex tried, knowing her mother would like this room the best. At least it was three rooms away.
"Sounds good, Dear…" Mrs. Cabot shifted Theo onto her other hip. "Your father is getting the bags…" Mrs. Cabot moved closer to her daughter, "Everything OK, Alex? You're feeling well?" She began to tear up, "You look so beautiful…" Her tears turned into full-out sobs, Alex having to take her mother in her arms.
Olivia smiled at her wife, the blonde looking like she didn't know quite what to do as she rubbed her mother's back soothingly.
"Thanks, Mom…"
"My daughter…pregnant with twins!" she continued sobbing against her daughter's chest before pulling away and looking at Alex's upper half, "and you're so big, Alex…your boobies have gotten so big…"
Olivia giggled silently, knowing exactly what Mrs. Cabot was saying. Her wife's breasts had grown at least a full cup size in the past month.
"I know, Mom…I have had to buy a couple of sizes bigger…don't worry…it is much appreciated…" Alex smirked at Olivia now.
Olivia shook her head, "Dinner is in an hour…casual casual…" she winked at Alex as the blonde began rubbing her lower belly before cradling it soothingly.
"You need to rest, Dear…I'll help Olivia with dinner and then we can enjoy it…but you go and sleep a while…"
"OK, Mom…let me get you settled in your room and then I'll rest…"
Mrs. Cabot nodded before handing a suddenly fussy Theo to Olivia, their mocha-haired baby instantly resting his head against the brunette's chest and clutching the fabric of her black sweatshirt soothingly, thumb in his mouth. His hair had grown significantly over the last month, now lengthy chocolate-colored curls, falling just above his chin. She smoothed it with her hand, smiling before kissing his forehead.
Olivia and Alex were trying to break him of this new habit of thumb-sucking, hearing about the developmental and physical changes that could occur, but he had taken to it, nonetheless.

AAA
The next day, Alex had returned with Olivia from The Whole Foods Gourmet, after having picked up some essentials and snacks for their guests.
They walked in through the garage, four canvas grocery bags in hand, and Alex closed the door after them, almost running into Olivia as the brunette stopped in her tracks. The brunette backtracked, turning around and taking Alex's hands before leading her back into the garage, her face on the verge of tears.
"What is it, Liv?" Alex asked, not having seen anything, yet, to be alarmed about.
"She cut his hair, Al…"
"What?"
"Your mother…she cut his hair…" Olivia's face contorted as she began to cry.
… … … … … …
A/N: What did Mrs. Cabot do? A first that Olivia wanted taken by Mrs. Cabot? How will Olivia handle it? Will they hook Casey up with anyone special?
As always, I would love to hear from you about the book, the making love in the attic, the late night frolic in the kitchen, lunch with Donnelly and Petrovsky, and now the familial visit. I can't wait to hear from you!
Patricia
