"I hope you have something interesting, Lexi." Kira Yamato said as the turbolift doors opened onto the bridge of the supercarrier Phoenix, which was currently orbiting high above the planet known at Terra Prime.
"We do." Lexi answered. "It looks like there are hundreds of subspace tunnels moving toward us. Their speed is completely off the charts. They should reach Terra Prime in three minutes." Kira's alert meter immediately went up. It had to be the Destroyers, a species which even the Borg truly feared.
"Order all ships to go to red alert and signal all vessels to form up around us." Kira quickly said.
Tense minutes went by as the subspace tunnels neared. Finally, they opened in coronas of blue light. From the vortexes emerged over 1,500 ships. They were organic looking, with insectoid spines sprouting from various places. Their colors were varying shades of green and brown. The ships immediately began forming up into attack wings.
"Report." Kira demanded.
"Sensors are detecting 5,000 vessels." Lexi reported. "2,500 of them are the size of Starfleet's Intrepid-class long range science vessel; the others range from one to four kilometers long. We're being hailed."
"On screen." The screen changed to show the image of a wasp-like alien. He had four arms, the top two of which appeared to be some kind of organic weapons. His shell was red and blue, with two black striped running down his shoulders.
"To all ships gathered here. I am Commander Keeerr Zrrc, of the 456th Destroyer Swarm Fleet. You territory has been selected as suitable for Destroyer conquest. However, we offer you a choice. You may join with us and serve us as slaves. If you agree, your lives and your worlds will be spared."
"Open a channel." Kira ordered. "Destroyer Commander, I am Admiral Kira Jesus Yamato of the Celestial Being Supercarrier Phoenix. Your presence here is a violation of our space. Leave now, or we will respond with all necessary force." The Destroyer Commander made a curious buzzing noise, and Kira realized he was laughing.
"You fool. You are outnumbered. You cannot stop us. Make your choice now: Serve us, or die."
Kira motioned and the transmission was cut, then he turned to the bridge crew. "Thoughts?"
"I say we fight." Murrue replied. "We have nearly 10,000 ships in total, if you include the Klingons, Romulans and Cardassians. That's without factoring in all of our mobile suits and Gundams."
"I say fight." Asuka added. Everyone else nodded, and Kira couldn't help but smile.
"Alright then." The amethyst-eyed man smirked. "Lexi, instruct all ships to open fire. Have Starbase One engage any Destroyer ships that move toward Terra Prime, and prepare all of our ships and mobile suits for launch. Engage!"
The combined defense fleet surged forward, unleashing a storm of torpedoes, phaser fire and beam blasts. Dozens of Destroyer ships were quickly eliminated, but many more surged forward, while vessels near the rear of the Destroyer fleet began launching waves of fighter craft. Wave after wave of acidic projectiles slammed into shields and bit into hulls. Crewmen screamed as they were dissolved. Fighters swarmed the smaller ships, using numbers to take them down. Starbase One had obliterated a dozen Destroyer ships moving towards Terra Prime, but more of them had launched fast-moving drop pods toward the surface, the majority of which were avoiding the defensive fire.
The Phoenix skimmed between two Destroyer cruisers, savaging them with high-energy beam cannons, phasers, and positron blasts, while three Klingon Birds of Prey fired a hail of plasma torpedoes. One of the vessels exploded and the other began drifting. Suddenly a barrage of bio-acid torpedoes tore one of the Klingon ships to shreds and sent the other two spinning away. The Destroyers had begun moving up their big ships now that the defense fleet was occupied.
"Kira, sensors are picking up Borg transwarp conduits." Lexi announced. "Lots of them."
"Ignore the Borg unless they attack us." Kira ordered, even as the Divinity Gundam was catapulted from the supercarrier's launch bay. "In the meantime, launch all of our mobile suits and ships, and ram those fuckers while you're at it!" He roared, as the angel-winged mobile suit raised the combined beam rifle, holding the weapon in its left hand and opening fire.
A line of charging Destroyer battleships were vaporized under the combined firepower of the supercarrier Phoenix, along with its entire compliment of mobile suits and ships, which included the CB-X60D Divinity Gundam, the warship Excalibur, and billions of fighter craft.
"Come on, move!" Mayu Asuka growled within the cockpit of her Destiny Impulse Gundam as it floated in the blackness of space, even as dozens of energy blasts slammed into her machine, only to be harmlessly reflected by the MCPS armor.
"Mayu, are you ok?" Hope Yamato asked as her Destiny Gundam quickly moved to cover Mayu's motionless Impulse Gundam.
"I'm fine." Mayu answered, even as her memories of the last time that the Impulse Gundam lost power flashed through her mind. "Except for the fact that the Impulse isn't moving."
"Well, as with last time, I can't leave you here." Hope replied, even as a slight blush tinted her cheeks. "So, I guess you'll have to lengthen your hair and use it to control the Impulse again."
With a sigh, Mayu quickly lengthened her soft brunette tresses until they filled half the cockpit. She then opened the access panel directly behind the pilot seat, and allowed her silken locks to be drawn into the small opening, and as Mayu did this, Hope kept her covered.
"Why does this happen to me?" Mayu whined when she was once again sitting down in the pilot seat, even as she continued to lengthen her silken mane, allowing the soft strands to become the mobile suit equivalent of the human body's muscular system.
"I can't lie, I think it's quite sexy that you are willing to use that beautiful hair of yours as the mobile suit equivalent of the human body's muscular system." Hope blushed as she blocked a pair of Destroyer energy blasts with with her beam saber. "It also gives me a legitimate reason to spend some time alone with you, so that I can wash your hair."
"I never thought about it like that." Mayu admited as the Destiny Impulse suddenly freed the anti-ship sword from behind the machine's right wing, just in time to smack away a glowing purple torpedo, which then careened into one of the Destroyer fighters.
"I think you should use that beautiful hair of yours to control the Impulse Gundam from now on." Hope giggled as the Destiny Impulse's wings suddenly snapped open, but in place of the twin glowing beam wings, Mayu's beautiful brunette tresses extended from within the gap between the wings. Hope blushed slightly as the Destiny Impulse sped forward and effortlessly sliced a pair of Destroyer fighters in half.
"Why?" Mayu grumbled as a swath of her soft tresses suddenly emerged from the beam shield generator on the Destiny Impulse's right forearm, the silken locks instantly taking the shape of a shield and blocking a trio of searing green energy blasts before once more receding into the limb, even as the brunette locks occupying the the gap between the machine's wings receded. "Just so you can drag me into the Alternate Sanctum after every battle and wash my hair?"
"Well, yes." Hope blushed. "Each time you pilot, you'll have to put that gorgeous hair of yours through quite the workout." The amethyst-eyed woman couldn't help but giggle softly as she continued. "There are so many different fluids running through our mobile suits; antifreeze, water, oil, motor coolant, and transmission fluid, just to name a few"
"Ugh." Mayu cringed as she began to imagine her silken tresses moving within the frame of the Impulse Gundam, the soft strands of her hair being thoroughly soaked in, and even absorbing, the aforementioned fluids. She shook her head at the thought. "I would rather not have my hair be subjected to something like that on a regular basis."
"Well, if that's the case, I am hereby ordering you to use your hair to control the Impulse Gundam." Hope interrupted. "It's the very least you can do for me, since I'm sterile." She muttered, allowing a tear to slide down her cheek, unaware that her lover had heard her previous comment. "Besides, you already know that I'll gladly wash that beautiful hair of yours, no matter how long it may be."
"I'm sick of this!" Kira's voice suddenly screamed through the communications line as the Divinity Gundam began to glow with a blindingly bright, white light. "I am going to erase you assholes from existence!" The angelic mobile suit slowly extended its wings as its pilot called upon his more divine powers, and a few seconds later, all of the Destroyer ships simply vanished. With the enemy gone, all of the allied machines began to move back towards the Phoenix.
