Halfway to the base Ella woke up, confused and disoriented. Unsure of where she was she began pounding her fists on Gray's was surprised but half a moment later Gray set Ella down gently on her feet.
Ella looked around to get her bearing. "Hmh…" She grumbled.
"You okay?" Gray asked, eying Ella worriedly.
Ella was stubborn and said, "Yes!" She walked down the path and was heading to the base.
"Wrong way," Gray said as he watched her march back the way they'd come.
Sheepishly she turned on her stumbled her way down the path and to the base. They quickly made their way back to the base without any hiccups. As they reached the base, Ella yawned.
"You sure you're okay?" Gray said suspiciously.
"Why?" Ella was tired of being asked that. She had already said she was fine. Was't that enough?
"You've just been really tired after you heard that scream…"
"I'm fine."
Lucy heard them and came out to meet Ella and Gray.
"Did you two find anything?" Lucy asked.
"No," Ella yawned.
"Are you okay?" Lucy asked.
"I'm fine!" Ella just about snapped.
"You should get some sleep," Lucy suggested.
Ella was getting irritable. Ella didn't want to sleep though. She had slept for a while in the club room. She didn't want more. The more sleep she got the more she needed. The more she was awake the more exhausted she was and the more sleep she needed. It was quickly turning into a vicious cycle.
"No," Ella shook her head.
Lucy eyed her warily but let it go. She knew Ella wasn't going to listen.
"So," Lucy asked Gray," did anything happen?"
"Not really," Gray said, "Ella heard another scream. Two of the Hosts were missing but we're not really sure if that has anything to do with the kidnapper though."
"It's definitely something to keep an eye on," Lucy nodded.
Natsu came bouncing out, bursting with energy. "Did we find 'em yet?" Natsu was ready to go.
"Natsu," Ella said trying to calm him down, "if we find out where he is, you'll be the first one to know."
Ella's eyes had closed and she was slowly drifting to sleep.
"What's wrong with you?" Natsu asked Ella a little too loud.
Ella jerked awake, startled.
"Are you sure you don't want to get some sleep?" Lucy asked concerned.
"I'm fine," Ella said, trying to convince herself as well.
Erza had heard the commotion and came to join the others.
"Two people are potentially missing," Gray filled in.
Ella closed her eyes for a second. Then again. After a third time, Ella's eyes stayed closed.
"Any clues as to where the kidnapper is?" Erza asked.
"No…" Ella said, "There was another scream though…" After her last word Ella fell to the ground, sleeping.
