I have absolutely loved writing Unexpected Imprint and I feel extremely sad about ending Haley's story. She has really found a place in my heart and it will be hard to stop writing in her perspective seeing as I have been writing like that for 2 years. I am so excited to show the final chapter of Unexpected Imprint to you, my loyal readers. Thank you for being on this journey with me.

Thanks to the person that reviewed in the amount of time it has taken me to write this chapter :) ...

Chapter 46
(Haley's POV)
"No. No. Absolutely not!" Jake nearly shouted at me. I had to admit that it was a crazy plan, but it would work and he knew it.
"You're not going to do this!" He yelled in my face. At his obvious belief that he could control me, I raised an eyebrow in question. As if there was any way in the world that he was going to prevent me from doing something that I wanted to do.
"Yes, I am and I don't think that tone of voice is necessary," I said as calmly as I could.
"What tone?" He asked, acting defensive, as if he didn't already know what he was doing.
"The 'what the hell are you thinking' combined with the 'you're an idiot' and Alpha tone. You typically only use that combination with the guys. I know what I'm doing. It's not dangerous and you know it. You promised to be more open minded."
"Yeah, and what I meant by that was to not go completely out of my mind with worry when you went to Forks High with the vamps, but this... This is too much."
"Jake," I said softly, placing my hand on his cheek. He closed his eyes and leaned into my touch, but his shoulders were still tense with aggravation.
"All I need to do is go over to their place for, like, five minutes. It's not going to kill anyone."
"Not anyone alive," he muttered under his breath.
I placed a meaningful glare on him and felt a strong urge to storm away.
"Let's just say that this was a reasonable plan. Then why can't I go with you?" I heard chuckles in the background, but I was too zoned in on the conversation to tell what they were laughing at.
"Because the second you get a chance to get over that line you'll try to kill every single one of the Cullens just for payback. I really care about you, but your willpower is a little lacking when it comes to them. Jared still owes me, so I know he won't pull any crap."
Jake snorted, along with who I could only assume was Jared without turning around.
"You owe me and you know it," I said a little louder, although I knew it wasn't necessary. He could hear me even if I whispered.
"I'm not going to let you do this," Jake snarled, shaking more than I had ever seen him.
"Excuse me," I said with all of the indignation I could muster in that one word.
"Ooohhh, he's gonna' get it now," I heard Jared whisper.
"Babe, you know that's not-" I cut him off with an outfacing palm, telling him that I didn't want to hear any more.
"Jared, c'mon," I stated, walking in the direction of the door.
"Yes, this is gonna' be awesome!" Jared shouted, thumping my direction.
"Jared, STOP," Jacob spoke in the most authoritative voice I had ever heard. I turned and saw that Jared had frozen in his tracks, glaring over at where Jake stood, smirk on his face.
"Jake-" I started speaking, stalking towards him in my anger, but he cut me off.
"Embry, go with them. Keep Jared out of trouble and keep Haley safe. Am I understood?" Jake asked, to which Embry nodded and ran over to me, throwing his arm over my shoulder.
"Okay, Jared. Go," he said, releasing him from the Alpha hold. Just as quickly, the smile was back on Jared's face.
"Be careful," Jake whispered.
"Thank you," I whispered back.

"Give me a second, guys," I said right after we had walked out of the front door. I headed around the back of the house only to notice that they were following me.
"Guys, seriously. I need you to be out of earshot. Please," I said, a little bit of desperation in my voice. They eyed me suspiciously, but went back to wait at the car.
I pulled out my phone and dialed the familiar number before putting the phone up to me ear.
She answered on the first ring.
"Hello," her voice, as perfect as ever answered.
"Hey, Alice. I had a favor to ask," I said as quietly as I could.
"If its a shopping trip, I'll pick you up in five. I need a shopping buddy. Bella doesn't want me to take her and Edward won't let me take her, so I'm stuck there and Rosalie is spending all of her time with Emmett and Jasper's out of town. He'll be back soon, but I'm so bored. It's okay though because you want to go shop-"
"Alice," I cut her off before she could pass out from lack of oxygen. Did vampires even need oxygen? Oh, who cared right now?
"I wasn't calling about shopping," I nearly hissed. There was silence on the other end.
"Well why did you call me then?" She asked, sounding slightly disappointed. I'd try to make it up to her another time.
"I need to borrow anything with your scent on it."
There was another moment of silence.
"Well, with your use of the word 'scent,' I guess this is something wolf related. Of course you can borrow something. I'll give you a few of my shirts to borrow. I wore them once, then put them in storage. I'll give them to you as long as those wolves don't get their grubby paws all over them. Actually, you know what? You can keep them. The smell will be unbearable after they've been anywhere near those filthy mutts."
"Alice," I lengthened her name in warning.
"Yeah, yeah. They're not all that bad. I know. I know. I'll see soon?"
"Yep," I said, a small smile on my face.
"'Bye, Alice."
"'Bye," she said, her voice full of enthusiasm, just like always.
After depositing my phone into my back pocket, I rounded the side of the house and headed towards Emily's car. Embry was in the driver's seat and Jared was in the back, a pout on his face. I got in the passenger's side and turned around to face Jared.
"What's wrong with you?" I asked, my voice taking on a confused tone.
"I was gonna' drive," he grumbled.
"Yeah, but I didn't want use running into the Cullen's place, so I figured that I should drive," Embry said, winking at me and starting the car.
It took us a good thirty minutes to get to the Cullen's house thanks to Embry not being able to find the turn even though I had given perfect instructions.
"I'm just saying that they should have the road marked or something," he said under his breath, but I could tell that through his attempt at humor, he was tense. So was Jared, or at least it seemed that way from the lack of smart-ass comments.
We pulled into the driveway and I hopped out quickly. I wanted to get the shirts and go, so as to avoid any potential conflicts.
I went to the front door and knocked lightly, waiting for someone to answer. Meanwhile, I could feel the heat radiating off of the guys from their close proximity to my back. They obviously weren't going to let me get too close. That was just perfect.
The door opened suddenly, causing the wolves to snarl viciously. They needed to get over it. It wasn't like I hadn't been here before.
Rather than little Alice standing in the doorway, the worst possible person to handle diplomacy on the entire planet was standing, looking like we had just crushed his house and killed his family until he spotted me.
"Hales," he stated joyously, pulling me into a bear hug. I thought that the guys' eyes were going to pop out of their heads.
"Get the HELL away from her," Jared growled menacingly, acting like I was his own imprint. I thought I had know the extent of the pack bond, but that obviously wasn't true.
"What're you gonna' do about it, mutt?"
"Leech!" Jared yelled, lunging towards Emmett. Emmett pushed me behind him and into the house, away from the brawl.
"Guys! Guys!" I shouted, watching as they latched onto each other and rolled off of the front porch. Embry ran down the steps to undoubtedly help Jared and I tried to follow, but strong hands pinned my arms behind my back and pulled me inside.
"Jared! Emmett! Embry!" I shouted, trying with all of my might to get out of the iron-tight hold of my captor.
"Trust me, you don't want to do that," a cool, decidedly male voice whispered.
"Yes, I do. My friends are in trouble," I tried to shout, but a drowsy feeling rolled over me like silk. It was like I had pulled an all nighter and had finally gotten into bed, ready for the dreams to take me. It was unnatural, though. Wrong, somehow.
"Stop, please stop. Jasper, please," I pleaded with him, trying to duck out of his arms in my sedated state.
"I'm sorry," he said, pulling his power back.
"I was only trying to help. You seemed quite distraught," he said, turning me around and releasing his hold on me. I looked at him, I mean I really looked at him for the first time. There were bite marks up and down his neck and a few above his eyebrows. They were perfect little crescent shapes that barely appeared unless you noticed them. I couldn't imagine how much pain he had to have gone through in order to have so many scars.
"My friends," I said, eyes widening in fear as I raced to the door.
"Are all right. Trust me," he said, gesturing to the front window. I gazed outside to see Emmett, his arms braced tightly behind him by Rosalie and Edward, while the guys were walking around like they were drunk.
"I apologize for the drastic measures, but I had to put them in a state of near incoherency in order to stop them from fighting back. We could not risk getting too close in case they phased and hurt one of us. I hope you understand," he said with a slight southern drawl that I had never noticed before.
"It's fine. They should've known better." I felt a chuckle escape from my lips, causing Jasper to look at me like I had a second head.
"Sorry, it's just... I have no idea why I thought that there wouldn't be a fight. I should've brought Sam," I mumbled the last part, knowing that Sam probably wouldn't have been much better if a vampire had hugged one of the imprints in his pack. Sam probably would have been more restrained, though.
"You have faith in the ones you care about. That's a trait to be admired," he said with a slight smile, slipping outside of the house, where it appeared that Emmett had given up for the most part. Jasper walked smoothly over to him and smacked the back of his head. I thought I saw his lips form the word 'idiot' before he looked at the wolves in disgust and headed around the back of the house.
"Haley!" I heard a high voice shout merrily before small, cold arms wrapped around me.
"It's so good to see you!" She said, jumping up and down with me still in her arms.
"Alice, I would love to stay and chat, but I really can't. I don't want the guys to get in any more fights."
"Okay," she said in a tone that was far too agreeable. I narrowed my eyes in suspicion.
"But you have to promise to come back soon!" She said with a smile before placing a few pieces of what I was almost sure were Louis Vuitton clothing into my hands and a peck on my cheek. She tripped lightly up the stairs and out of sight. She was strange, that girl, but she was amazing.
After a moment, I opened the door and headed out to the yard, where the wolves stood in a daze on the left side of the front yard. It appeared that Edward and Rosalie had been able to contain Emmett because they were nowhere to be seen.
"What the hell happened?" Jared asked, rubbing the back of his head.
"You guys acted like idiots, that's what." I very nearly went on a rant, but pulled myself together and got in the driver's seat. It could wait for later.
I heard Embry protest as he got into the passenger's side of the car, but I assured him that he would crash us in his drowsy state. The last thing Jake needed was a pancake for an imprint.
I drove industriously back to La Push and pulled into Emily's driveway, waiting until the guys exited the vehicle before locking it. I motioned for them to go inside before I headed to the treeline, clothing in hand.
I walked for a few moments in a straight line, so I wouldn't get lost, the carefully placed the clothing into a low branch on a tree. I backed away a few paces and slid my back down an adjacent tree until I was sitting facing the tree with the clothes on it.
I hoped Paul wouldn't take too long.
Minutes passed, making me think that the almighty Paul might have been a charlatan, but as if Paul had heard the thought, he stumbled into the area, facing the tree with the clothing. He growled at it, almost as if it were actually a vampire, until he realized that it was a tree instead of a threat to La Push.
He growled in frustration, still looking at the tree. I could only wonder what he was thinking.
"Paul," I said, cautiously standing up. He turned to face me, teeth bared and hackles raised until he knew that I wasn't a threat.
"Paul," I said again, tears coming to my eyes. I couldn't take it anymore. I ran over to him and wrapped my arms around his warm neck. For a moment, his body was tense, as if the contact was foreign to him, until I slowly felt him relax.
"Paul, I am so sorry. I know that I overreacted. Please don't shut me out. I was cruel and you probably hate me now, but I can't stand not being able to talk to you. I miss your jokes and your humor. I miss you. I also can't stand to see you running yourself ragged out here. You need to sleep . Please, please, just come back," I begged, pressing my face into his fur. I felt Paul's chest vibrate, as he nudged me back. He trotted out of sight, leaving me unsure if he would return.
I closed my eyes and sat on the ground again, leaning my head against my knees. Abruptly, I felt warm arms around me.
"Haley, you are one of my best friends, hell, you're like my sister. Please don't do that to me again," he whispered, his voice full of pain. I looked up, looked into his eyes and saw everything that he had been feeling. All of the frustration and anger and hurt.
"Only if you deserve it," I said lightly, a small smile on my face. He gave a diminutive smile and helped me up.
We walked back to the house in relative silence, but it wasn't the cold silence I had come to expect from him. It was the companionable silence between friends.
By the time we got to the house, it was nearly dark. We walked into the house to see everyone sitting at the table, the wolves' plates high with food. Stephanie was sitting on Seth's lap, laughing at something he had said and Kim was giving Jared a stern glare, probably for some remark he had made. All conversation stopped as soon as we entered the room.
"Since when have you been such a wuss?!" Jared shouted over to Paul. I felt him tense beside me. He had been isolating himself for so long that there was no doubt it would take time before he was the obnoxious Paul we all knew and loved.
"Says the one who's ass was kicked by a vampire!" I nearly shouted back, eliciting a blush from Jared and a few barks of laughter from the others. I looked over at Paul and he had a light to his eyes that I had missed for so long. He ruffled my hair before he sat in the last remaining seat.
I looked around for another chair before I was grabbed around the waist and pulled into Jacob's lap. I looked up at him and kissed him on the cheek.
"Are you mad?" I asked quietly, although I was sure the guys would be keeping tabs on the conversation.
"You're not hurt and you got one of the pack back. So, I'm not mad. I'll do my best to not be overbearing when it comes to stuff like this from now on. I trust you," he said, kissing my hair, before pushing a plate with considerably less food in front of me.
I looked around at all of the faces, at all of the people I had come to know and love. Paul, who seemed to be back to his old self, was throwing food a Jared across the table, while Kim attempted to dodge the flying bits. Seth, my new friend, with Stephanie, my oldest friend, were sitting, looking at the commotion with smiles full of the purest joy on their faces. Emily was looking at the mess everyone was creating with a sort of motherly love with Sam looking sternly at the wolves before they could get too out of line. It was incredible.
Losing my brother had made me feel like a part of my family was gone, like a part of me was gone, but I had gotten it back. I had a family of wolves in my life, really obnoxious, annoying ones, but caring and kind as well. They helped to fill the void in my life and I knew that I wouldn't change it for the world.

I know that this is the end of Haley's story, but I am thinking about writing a Seth/Stephanie story set in the world of Unexpected Imprint, so you just might see Haley and Jacob again.
I'm probably going to do a Paul/OC story outside of the world of Unexpected Imprint, too, because I've had some ideas about that for a little bit.
Thank you to all of my readers!
