Cam Fisher

The final exams were in progress. Cam has been studying hard with his friends and so far he feels fairly confident. He has been studying the most with Claire. Claire was so nervous about her first finals, despite doing fairly well in all of her classes. Cam knew that she was on a scholarship so she had to keep at least an E average with no grade lower than an A. All students took the written exams with everyone in their year in a large, uncomfortably hot classroom. Nobody was allowed to use their own quills and had to use quills that had been bewitched with an Anti-Cheating Spell.

There were also practical exams for some of their classes that they had to do one at a time. In Charms they had to make a pineapple tap-dance across a desk. Cam was able to get it on the second try. In Transfiguration they had to turn a mouse into a snuffbox. Cam was almost successful, but lost points because the box has two whiskers. In potions they had to make a Forgetfullness Potion. This was the most nerve wracking because Professor Snape was breathing down their necks the entire time. Claire told Cam that she blanked a few times, but eventually finished. Cam got through it, but barely had enough time.

"Thank goodness we only have one exam left," Derrick said as they headed towards the classroom where their History of Magic Exam would be.

"Then this weekend we get to watch the Ravenclaw/Gryffindor Quidditch Match," Cam said.

It was the last Quidditch Match of the school year and would be the deciding match of who wins the Hogwarts Quidditch Cup. Hufflepuff has already played their last match against Slytherin and they were beaten because despite Hufflepuff having more points before the snitch being caught, it was the Slytherin seeker to catch the Snitch and end the match. Harris was pretty upset about it, but he would move on. Ravenclaw has only lost one game against Hufflepuff and Gryffindor hasn't lost any so whoever wins this game will be the champion.

"Is that all you boys think about?" Olivia asked with a smirk.

"Of course not. We care about a lot of things," Derrick said.

"Like what?" Olivia asked.

"You know...stuff," Derrick shrugged with a sheepish smile.

"Very convincing," Olivia giggled rolling her eyes.

"I'm just ready for this last exam to be over so I can finally relax a little," Hannah sighed. Hannah was probably the most stressed about exams.

"You'll do fine Hannah," Ernie said.

"Yeah you've been working harder than anyone," Justin said.

"Hannah you are probably the reason why I was able to pass Snape's practical. I can't imagine you doing bad in any of your exams," Derrick reassured putting his hand on Hannah's shoulder which made her visibly blush.

They were almost at the class room when they saw Dylan walking in the same direction with Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger. He noticed that Dylan was walking with a slight limp. Cam glanced over at Derrick so also seemed to notice because he was staring at Dylan with concern.

"Hey Dyl," Cam called out. Dylan turned to look at Cam and his friends.

"What's up?" Dylan asked.

"Are you ok? I noticed you were limping," Cam said.

Dylan looked down at her feet.

"Oh um I accidently banged my foot when I got out of bed this morning. You know how clumsy I can be when I'm nervous and with all these final exams I've been a wreck," she shrugged.

"Do you need help getting to the classroom?" Derrick asked.

"No I'm fine. It doesn't hurt nearly as bad as it did this morning. I'm sure that by the end of the exam I'll be back to normal," Dylan said shaking her head.

Cam looked at Dylan with disbelief. Something didn't seem right. Dylan was never this anxious over a test. He looked over at Derrick who looked as if he was thinking the same thing.

"Well if you are sure," Cam shrugged.

"Thanks anyways," Dylan said quickly turning around. The rest of her friends turned with her and entered the classroom.

"Is she ok?" Olivia asked as the rest of their friends walked up behind them.

"I guess so," Cam shrugged. He wasn't so sure though, but he didn't have much time to question it. It was time for him to enter the classroom and take his last exam.

So the school year is almost over and Dylan is limping. That could not be good. Next we will jump to Josh as he has a revelation while talking with his Slytherin friends and then after that we will check in with Dempsey as he eats dinner with friends and discusses the final Quidditch Match coming up and how the Ravenclaws did with their finals.
