Chapter 51
"Lily!" her Mother grinned jumping up from the sofa
"Hi Mum" Lily smiled giving her a hug
"So where's-" she began when James stepped through the fireplace "James!?" Lily's mother said happily then she turned to glare at Lily "why on earth didn't you tell me?"
Lily smirked guiltily "It serves you right for being so nosy" she said cheekily
"So how are you James?" Lily's mother said fussing over him
James saw Lily giving him an apologetic glance but gave her a little smile and then replied to Mrs Evans "I'm very good thanks, and yourself?" he said politely and caught sight of Lily rolling her eyes.
Lily found lunch rather entertaining. Her parents were asking James a lot of questions about his life and what job he wants to do and all the parent-y questions as well as the genuinely nice conversations, but of course James was willing to answer all of them but of course talking meant not eating. He'd pick up his fork and put some food on it, only to be asked another question. Lily rested her hand on his knee for moral support and bit her lip to try and stop herself from laughing, she knew she'd probably have the same trouble at James' house.
When it came to a quick pudding and her parents were still bombarding James with questions Lily finally said "hey mum dad, how about we let James eat, yeah?" she said gesturing to their finished plates and James' full ones.
"Sorry dear" Mrs Evans said "we must have got carried away"
"Not a problem" James said
After the plates were all cleared and tummies were all full James was asked "What job do you want to do when you leave school?"
"I am still undecided" he admitted "maybe an auror or a quidditch player"
"Auror that is like a police man?" Lily's Father asked her
"Yes" she answered with a nod
"Ah that was one of the things you've considered?" Her mother remembered
"Yeah it is" Lily said with a smile to James. "And a quidditch player is a sports player, you remember what quidditch is yes?" Lily asked her parents
"Yes" her mother nodded
"I still don't get how those brooms work" her father queried
Lily sighed exasperated "magic, it's magic dad, and you say this every time quidditch is mentioned..."
"How often do you bring up quidditch?" James asked lily with a grin on his face and an eyebrow raised
"We normally get a yearly update" Lily's mum answered for her
"Just who won" lily added
"Hmm okay" he said still smiling a little
"Well it was lovely to see you again James" Lily's mother said hugging him
Her father shook his hand "look after her for us" he smiled
"We'll see you soon" lily said and as soon after James disappeared into the green flame of floo network she followed with a final "goodbye" to her parents
They arrived in the living room of James' house. James took her hand and smiled "I think you parents like me"
"They do" lily smiled "I told you they did beforehand anyway" she laughed
He shrugged his shoulder a smile still on his face. He led her into the kitchen to where his parents were waiting for them.

I know it's short (a shameful 650 words) but it was the only way to be able to post it so you'll have to bear with me, also chances are I'm gonna end up being a very shabby author for a while because of exams and everything going on, as always; I will try my best
on a positive note thanks for all the reviews would leave a little note as per usual but I really am that busy
