Author's Final Note

And so it is here!

First off, I want to thank everyone for their support and words of encouragement for me to keep going. I have to say that the reason I write these chapters is for people like you who I know really enjoy my work and want to know more. And it's thank to you that I have begun writing Shadowbringers. I have decided to do it mostly from Claire's point of view, but we will be having other characters throughout the story added in as well if I feel that it is needed.

So now, I wish to welcome you all to the next chapter of Claire Faye's journey and her mission to save the world—or in this case—worlds. She is finally ready to continue on into the mysterious lands of the First Shard and bring back the night to this world of eternal daylight. But to do that, there is much to be done first.

And not to forget the faint hope of one day awakening our fellow Scions and friends… including her beloved Alphinaud from their slumber. She must remain strong and believe that the dawn will be waiting for her at the end of this darkest journey yet.

But before we head out there, maybe it's time to revisit an old questline? Just what is the Warrior of Lights connection to that tower of crystal?

Was not planning on this at all, but since writing out the story for Shadowbringers will be such a major undertaking, I thought to be able to work on a smaller story while preparing for the major story in my own time. This way, not only will players have a chance to play through the MSQ so the story doesn't accidently spoil anything for them, but it will give me the time I need to finish some other projects. The chapters will be short compared to what I'm used to working, but hopefully, I'll have the entire dialogue and outline done for Shadowbringers by the time that I'm done with it. And since the story of the Crystal Tower is directly tied to Shadowbringers, I thought that it would be a good run to add this in as a side story as well. Whether or not I will chose to do Alexander and Omega as well is hard to say since they do tie into the story as well somewhat. But know that I will at least be doing the Crystal Tower quests. Sadly, there won't be much of the romance in the Crystal Tower story, it's more of a light-hearted, fun story of adventure. And once it's over, the next story will be us heading out to Shadowbringers! And for those of you who are asking, yes, the romance will be kicked up a little bit when we do get back to Shadowbringers. I just hope that you are all looking forward to what I have planned.

The Journey continues in the first shard…

Shadows of Nightfall!

But before all that… we have the side story of…

The Spiraling Crystal!
