A/N: Hey guys, as promised, here's the next chapter to Savage Heart! Thanks for being so understanding, and for being so patient with me. Love you all!

Patients never came very easily to Chloe, especially now as she waited for her named to be called at the medical clinic. She would have gone to the Triad's trusted doctor, but she felt better knowing her medical information didn't go straight to the Dragonhead. With Tori's help, she was able to find a clinic that would see her discreetly.

Her knee bounced in anticipation while she chewed on her thumb nail. Tori sat next to her looking calm and collected, while flipping through one of the clinic's magazines. Of course she had nothing to worry about; she wasn't the one being tested. They had already gone through all the check points to see if she was pregnant or not, now they waited for the results.

Now that Chloe and Derek were legally married, and back from their Honeymoon, the Dragonhead demanded they prepare for his next heir. This meant Chloe do everything and anything to get pregnant. It was made very clear to her what her purpose in this marriage was since the beginning. Despite the love Derek had for her, the only thing that would ensure her life within the Triads was to have a child.

"Chloe Saunders." The nurse called out. Tori stood first, dropping the magazine on the chair she was just sitting on. Chloe steeled herself before following her sister-in-law into the doctor's office.

The room was spacious, with a giant desk pushed into a corner, and two large chairs set up in front of it. The doctor stood and smiled shaking each of their hands before gesturing for them to sit. Chloe sat nervously clutching her backpack to her chest.

"Sorry to keep you waiting," the doctor sighed and then put her glasses on to read off her computer screen. "You're probably really nervous to find out your results." She stated with a few clicks of her mouse.

Chloe could only nod in reply.

"Well, good news is, you're not pregnant." The doc smiled over at Chloe. The young girl still held her breath not really sure what to feel about the news. Her initial reaction was relief, she didn't really want to have a child so soon, but then fear had quickly overridden that feeling.

"Seriously?" Tori piped in. The doctor turned to face her, and pushed her reading glasses onto the top of her head. She had an expression on her face that the girls couldn't quite place. She looked serious, yet worried.

"Seriously." She replied, "But I do advise you both to take precaution with being sexually active. Teen parenting is much harder than it looks."

"Thank you, we'll be sure to head your advice." Tori forced a smile.

"There is something else I'd like to speak to you about, Miss Saunders, or may I call you Chloe?" she asked.

"C-Chloe is f-fine." Chloe's voice cracked.

"You've stated that you started menstruation at 15, correct?" she asked squinting at her screen.

"Correct?" her eyes darted back and forth from the doc to the computer. What did this have to do with anything? The knot in her stomach became tighter, and she could feel the panic start to rise within her.

"Well, we aren't sure right now, but you show some symptoms of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, better known as P.C.O.S."

"What does that mean?" Tori asked leaning forward never hearing of such a thing, while Chloe's face blanched. She's heard of it before, and it wasn't good news for her. Not at all.

"Well, it means that Chloe might have a hormonal condition. In most cases, this causes irregular menstrual cycles, unwanted hair growth, acne, infertility, and other health problems like diabetes and high blood pressure."

"Wait, you mean she might not be able to have kids?" Tori's eyes widened her heart racing along with Chloe's. She felt her heart beat in her throat. What was she going to do if she couldn't fulfill her end of the deal with the Dragonhead?

"Yes, but hopefully with the right treatment she can." Tori sat back in her chair now, a million thoughts going through her mind. If Chloe wasn't able to have children, then the Dragonhead would have no further use for her, and might even…she shook her head not wanting to go there.

"What kind of treatments?" she spoke up, and looked over at Chloe who seemed to be staring off into space lost in her own thoughts.

"Like I said, we aren't sure if she has it, we'd have to run a few more tests to be sure."

"Is there any chance that she doesn't have this disease?" Tori glared at the doc.

"Yes, there is still a good chance she doesn't have it." The doc replied in a hopeful tone.

"C-can you ch-check to see if I h-have anything else that might cause me n-not to have ch-ch-children?" Chloe spoke up softly, looking up at the doctor as if she were her last hope.

"Of course, we'll just need a few blood samples."

"Alright, let's get them done." Tori nodded at Chloe, reaching over and grabbing her hand. Chloe looked up at her feeling heat return to her fingers. She smiled at her, glad to know she had some kind of support system.

The tests took another hour or so before they were able to leave. They were sitting in the car in silence, both of their heads filled with spewing thoughts.

"Tori, please don't tell anyone else. At least until I get the results." Chloe said staring at her tangled fingers on her lap.

"Agreed, there's no need to worry everyone. You probably don't even have it." Tori shrugged it off trying to be nonchalant about it all. Even though it wasn't her going through this personally, she still was in fear for Chloe's life.

"Thanks." Chloe replied quietly. She could feel the fearful tears tickle the back of her throat. What was she going to do? If it turned out she did have PCOS what would become of her? Would they kick her out? Would Derek…would Derek still love her?

"Hey," Tori grabbed Chloe's hands which were shaking. "Everything is going to be okay. We'll find a way through all of this. Trust me." She squeezed tightly to show that she wasn't going to let Chloe go through any of this alone.

Chloe stared up at her, now feeling the tears flow freely. She wouldn't have expected Tori of all people to be the one to have her back like this. She nodded and wiped away her tears, sniffling and trying to control herself. Tori reached over bringing the girl into a hug, knowing she needed it. Chloe let out a few sobs before getting a grip.

Tori pulled back and pushed some hair out of Chloe's face. "You want to go home?" she offered while Chloe reached for a tissue.

She shook her head. "N-no, I have to go to s-school, otherwise the boys m-might s-suspect something."

"Good call." Tori sighed and sat back staring out her window waiting for Chloe to clean herself up. "Want to grab some coffee?" she asked after a few seconds.

Chloe smiled slightly, knowing she was trying to cheer her up. "Coffee sounds good." Tori grinned at her and started up her car heading to the nearest coffee shop.

Tori then dropped off Chloe at school, saying she felt 'too tired' to go to school with her. Chloe rolled her eyes, and walked into the school building by herself. It was lunch time, and the halls were filled with chattering kids. She held her coffee to her chest as she made her way to the cafeteria where she knew the boys would be.

She felt her stomach doing flips, not sure how she was going to face Derek. She was never good at lying, or hiding anything, so she wasn't sure how she would hold up against him. She took in deep breaths as she entered the cafeteria forcing a smile and acting like everything was cool.

When she finally spotted Derek in the crowd, all those feelings were suddenly drained and replaced with a hot, angered feeling. Some might have confused it for jealousy, but it was more of an alert feeling. It was like how a wolf would feel when an unwanted guest wandered onto their claimed territory. Chloe quickly made her way across the room, steeling her fake smile to make it reach ear to ear with shocking ease.

A sound of a giggle made every hair on her body stand on end, and that hot feeling began to burn. She reached out wanting to strangle the blond bimbo, but instead grabbed onto Derek.

"Hey Babe!" she giggled, lovingly hugging him around the shoulders. Derek turned slightly a bright smile immediately springing onto his face.

"Hey," he greeted her excitedly, kissing her sweetly. Chloe couldn't help but smirk knowing Alexa was watching them. "How did the appointment go?" he asked her.

"It went," Chloe paused, that fearful feeling returning to her for a split second. "pretty well, I'll tell you more later." He smiled as she down next to him and wrapped an arm around his bicep. She then offered her coffee to him, which he gladly accepted.

"Hi Chloe," Alexa smiled kindly.

"Hi." Chloe forced out, fighting to keep her smile on her face as she had to stare at her face. "How are you doing?" she felt obligated to ask.

"I'm okay," Alexa shrugged sadly. "I gave Collin all of his stuff back, so I'm hoping it gets better."

"You could do a lot better than him Lex." Derek chimed in, placing the coffee cup back in front of Chloe. Alexa looked up at him and smiled.

"Thanks D, I just hope the right guy comes along soon." She rubbed her shoulder, and Chloe didn't miss the lingering stare she had with her husband.

"Don't worry he will, I'm sure of it." Derek obliviously assured.

"Where is Simon?" Chloe asked tugging on Derek's arm to get him to stop looking at her. She didn't like feeling this way, or coming off as the jealous type, but she couldn't stand Alexa, and her trashy attempts of flirting.

"Library, maybe, he said something about a project." He shrugged.

"Oh, that reminds me," Alexa gasped, and clasped her hands together as if she was going to start praying. "Chloe," she said slowly, and Chloe's stomach dropped. "Can I please borrow your boyfriend again? Please, I have this project that I need,"

"Absolutely not!" is what Chloe wanted to say. Honestly, she didn't hear anything else Alexa was saying to her, because all she could hear, all she could see was her punching her face in repeatedly.

"It won't take long. We'll finish before dinner at my Uncle's." Derek informed her. Chloe blinked up at him feeling a stab to the chest.

"Are you sure?" she asked eyeing him, trying to give him a sign that she wasn't okay with this at all.

But as usual, boys were clueless. "Yeah, I'm positive." He nodded.

Chloe growled internally, wanting to smack him upside the head. "Looks like you don't need my permission, then." She said just as the bell rang.

Alexa stared at the two of them awkwardly feeling the tension build up. "Well then, I'll see you after school Derek." She smiled and gathered her things. "Thanks Chloe." She added standing up and making her way out. Chloe only smiled as she too grabbed her coffee and stood to leave.

She didn't even look at Derek as she walked out of the cafeteria and towards her locker. Derek followed, sensing the angered vibe coming off her. He couldn't figure out why she was suddenly so mad. Was it something he said? Or was it something Alexa said?

Then it clicked.

"You can't seriously be mad at me for helping her." He sighed leaning against the rows of lockers next to Chloe's.

"I'm not mad at you for helping her." Chloe snapped swinging open her locker harshly. "I'm irritated that you're absolutely clueless to her advances."

"What advances?" his brows furrowed in confusion.

"For God's sake," Chloe scoffed and shook her head. "For someone so smart, how do you not see that Alexa still has feelings for you?"

"Okay," Derek sighed standing straight and facing her. "First, Alexa and I have never had feelings for each other, we just fooled around."

"Obviously, she doesn't agree." She argued. "Do you not notice the way she clings on to you? Or how she's always needing your help with her homework?"

"You always need my help too." He countered, but this only pissed her off so much more. Why did he not get it?

"I'm not as smart as you!" she flung her arms in the air. "I thought she was the only girl that matched your intelligence, and suddenly she's needing help on every single project?" she stared at him with wide eyes, like this all should have been obvious to him.

"Alright," Derek held his hands up defensively. "I can start to see how you would think she's trying something."

"Think?" she crossed her arms, her voice rising. God, she's never wanted to smack someone so badly before!

"But," he interrupted. "I thought we had this discussion already. Even if Alexa had feelings for me, the only one I want is you." He reached out to grab her hand, but she slapped it away from her. She was way passed his charms now.

"Yes, Derek, I know how you feel. But why doesn't she?" She slammed her locker door shut.

"Are you saying you don't trust me with her?" he asked starting to get a bit irritated with her as well.

"No, I trust you; I've proven that time and time again." Chloe glared up at him. "I just don't trust her."

"So you want me to cancel on her or what?" he asked with an annoyed shrug.

"Oh, now you're asking?" she rolled her eyes fixing the strap of her backpack. She took in a long deep breath thinking of her next words. "Do whatever you want, Derek." She said and stomped off to her next classroom before she said something she really would regret.

He watched her storm off completely stunned at the situation. He didn't see the problem with helping a friend out with their project. Besides, even if Chloe was right, he wouldn't let anything happen. She knows that. So why is she so mad about it?

"What the fuck?" he sighed running his fingers through his hair and headed to his own class.

Meanwhile, back at the house, Tori sat in bed with her laptop propped up in front of her. Blips of images flipped through the screen as she scanned over her mother's computer files. She couldn't make much sense out of any of them. Everything seemed so disorganized, which was so unlike her mother. What was really stumping her was that everything was also incredibly encrypted.

Of course Tori had no trouble deciphering the different codes and bypassing the security set up, but why was it so professionally protected? At first she figured it made sense, her mother probably dealt with some sensitive Triad information, but then she saw that all of it looked to be spam mail and other useless things. So why conceal them?

Her phone then lit up with a text message, this one from Liz.

Hey, you feeling okay? Want me to send you my notes?

Tori smiled and quickly text her back.

Yes please, sorry just needed a day off.

Just then there was a knock at her door. She quickly closed her laptop to hide what she was doing as Kit opened the door and poked his head in. Tori sighed in relief and waved for him to come in setting her laptop to the side so he could sit down in front of her.

"I heard you stayed home, you feeling okay?" he asked pressing his palm against her forehead.

"I'm fine Dad." She said not wanting to get into the details of her heartache.

He stared at his daughter knowing she definitely wasn't fine, but if he had learned anything about his daughter, it was that she wasn't going to open up about her problems to him. So he let it go and simply smiled at her.

"Okay," he retracted his hand and looked down at the small box in his hands. "I have something for you."

Tori's attention was pulled to the small box in his hands, her excitement growing. Kit opened it up revealing a diamond bracelet. She gasped at the pretty jewelry making her father smile as he pulled it out of the box and held it up to her.

"What's the special occasion?" Tori asked lifting her hand to have him put it on her.

"Nothing special, I just thought you'd like to have it." Kit explained and then unclasped the ends. Tori caught the extra accessory attached at the end of it. It looked to be the head of a flash drive.

Kit caught her curious expression and chuckled to himself. "I had it converted into a flash drive, and I've already gotten a few 'tech' programs installed onto it." He clasped the bracelet around her wrist, once again having it look like a normal bracelet.

"Thanks," Tori eyed the bracelet and then looked up at her father. "What's it really for?" she asked suspiciously.

Kit held onto her hand finding it difficult to ask her this favor. She was the only one he could count on though, and his only hope at getting more information. He knew this would be putting Tori in trouble, and he wouldn't force her into doing it, but he still needed to ask.

"I need you to do something for me." He said seriously, and looked her in the eyes. "You can tell me no, and still keep the bracelet, I won't mind, but it would really help me out if you said yes."

"What are you talking about?" Tori asked in more of a hushed tone. What had her father gotten himself into this time? What was it that he needed her to do?

"You can't let anyone know about this, I mean it, not even your brothers." Kit said more sternly.

"Dad," Tori replied in the same serious tone. What the hell was it?

"I need," Kit paused having second thoughts. He never wanted to put his children in a situation like this, but he was desperate, and this could eventually save them too. "I need you to hack into Davidoff's files."

"What!" Tori nearly screamed but Kit quickly shushed her. "Do you know what you're asking of me? Hacking into his files is considered treason, if I get caught," she began her heart racing with panic.

"I know," he cut her off. "I know what I'm asking is a lot," he squeezed her hand. "That's why I said you can say no."

Tori stared at him, her mind racing. She wasn't stupid. If her father wanted files off of the Dragonhead's private computer then there was something big going on within the Triads. She didn't know what, and she wasn't too sure she wanted to.

"Why do you need them?" she asked. Kit didn't reply, instead avoided eye contact with her. "Tell me why you need them." She demanded taking her hand back from him.

"The less you know, the safer you are." Kit said standing up and off her bed.

"How will I know what to look for if you won't tell me?" she argued.

"You don't have to look for anything. I want everything; from his Web history to his recycling bin, everything." He made his way towards her door. Right before he was about to leave he gave a clue into his reasoning. "My family is the only thing that matters now, and I won't let anyone destroy it."

Tori looked up at her father not sure what he even meant by that, and he made his exit. She sat there thinking over his last few words. Destroy his family? Who was out to get them, and what did the Dragonhead's files have to do with it. She stared down at her new accessory, really wondering if she should do her father this favor. Could she really do this? She didn't even know the answer to that.

Soft music played in the background inside the small, rose colored room while Simon and Liz's after school escapades continued. The young triad's hand snaked up the inside of Liz's shirt brushing his thumb against the fabric covering her ample breast. Simon kissed her hotly, trailing his mouth from her lips to her neck in a hungry fashion.

"We really shouldn't," she gasped as Simon teased her, "sh-shouldn't be doing this again." She finished.

"You say that," Simon kissed the top of her chest, "yet here we are, once again." He chuckled.

Suddenly Liz flipped them over, sitting on top of him now and feeling the tent in his pants grow at the friction. She bit her lip feeling pleasure from it as well.

"And who's fault is that?" she hummed leaning forward and kissing him again. His hands landed at her waist, riding along with her hips as she grinded against him.

This had been going on since the night of the New Year's Eve party. Once they had realized what they had done, there was that awkward tension between the two. Liz knew they shouldn't be doing this, especially knowing the kind of mindset Simon was in over losing June. Not only that, but really because she shouldn't be having sex with her best friend's younger brother; especially with the childhood Tori had. All in all, this whole thing was bad, but she couldn't help it.

No one ever noticed how lonely she was. Sure she had Tori, but it usually seemed that she was wrapped up in her own world, and Liz was just along for the ride. Everyone looked at Tori, and she was just her sidekick. She didn't feel that with Simon. She felt powerful, and sexy when she was with him.

There was always that small voice in the back of her head that reminded her that Simon wasn't into her romantically. He just needed something, or someone, to keep his mind off of June. It was like they needed each other, Liz as his distraction, and Simon as something to fill a void. They both knew that this would sooner or later blow up in their faces, but it felt too good to stop.

"Simon," Liz moaned his name softly as he continued to ravish her.

Simon felt guilty for putting Liz through this. He knew that she could tell he was using her, and it hurt to see her allow him to do it, but he could also tell how much she wanted it as well. Maybe she was right though, maybe they should stop this before it got too far. He was scared she would start to develop feelings for him, and hopefully she hadn't already.

Liz gasped loudly as she came to the height of ecstasy and Simon soon followed. The two lied in the bed side by side staring up at Liz's bedroom ceiling. As they caught their breath Liz rolled onto her side to look at Simon.

"You still don't want to talk about her?" she asked going back to the conversation that they were having previous to sex. Simon chuckled at her persistence.

"What about you? We don't usually talk about you." He replied to her.

"Tori wasn't in school today." She quickly changed the subject and he smirked knowing she wouldn't say anything. "Is she doing okay? She's been weird since the party."

Simon sighed sitting up. "I don't know, she doesn't talk to me. Best person to ask is probably Chloe." He answered.

Liz sat up to reaching for her clothes. "You don't think she knows…about us…do you?" she asked cautiously.

"I'm still alive, aren't I?" he joked putting his pants on.

Liz laughed a bit at that, but her smile faltered thinking about Tori. "I'm serious though, I'm getting worried about her."

"Why don't you talk to her then?"

"This may come as a shock, but Tori doesn't tell me all her secrets." Liz sighed putting on her shirt.

"I guess that makes sense, what with our family and all." Simon sighed now fully dressed and looking over her. "You know," he shrugged. "If you really want us to stop doing this, just let me know."

Liz stared at him not sure what to say. She knew that it would be best for it to stop, but the selfish side of her didn't want it to. She wanted to continue feeling whatever she felt with Simon. Although, was this his way of saying he wanted out? Did he want this to stop?

"Same." She shrugged, hoping that was enough answer for him.

Thankfully Simon's phone went off before he could reply. He checked who was calling seeing his sister's face on the screen. His heart dropped for a split second thinking Tori knew what he and Liz had just been up to. Then the more sane part of his mind realized that she couldn't have known, and was calling for something else.

"Hello?" he answered her.

"Um, where are you? Diane is going off about you and Derek being late to dinner at Uncle's." She growled.

"Wait, Derek and Chloe aren't home?" he asked turning to look at the clock. It was almost time to go to the Dragonhead's.

"No, Chloe's home, Montrose went and picked her up." Tori sighed annoyed. "Just get home so I can stop listening to Dragon Lady's screeching, and call Derek. He's not answering my calls." She ordered.

"Alright, I'm on my way." He replied and hung up on her. Turning back to Liz he gathered the rest of his stuff. "I have to go, family dinner."

"Right, go ahead." She nodded. They shared a smile as he left and when he got into his car he dialed Derek's number.

Derek hadn't answered the first call, but he answered the second.

"Dude, where are you? Tori's been trying to reach you." Simon informed him as he made it out the busy street.

"Yeah, sorry, I left my phone in my bag while helping Alexa." Derek explained.

"Alexa? You're at Alexa's?" Simon was confused at this.

"Yeah, she needed help with a project." His brother answered.

"Okay, whatever, just get home before Diane's head explodes."

Derek chuckled and promised to see him at home. With that Simon hung up and continued to focus on the road. Alexa? He shook his head and wondered if his brother was as dense as he seemed. Surely he knew what the girl was up to? Or was it just him, and Alexa actually just needed help? How did Chloe feel about this? He smirked knowing she probably wasn't all too pleased with Derek. Well, this would make for an interesting dinner.
