Chapter 56: The Academy of Reclamation.

"Reclaim the Light of Our World, For Our Future"-Motto of the Academy of Reclamation

-(Onboard Sciathan's Bullhead)-

(Ruby's POV)

I couldn't believe what Wyvern told me. Somnus was taken back by his father, Ahriman. It just made me wonder how Ahriman was able to take him back from Wyvern, but he explained how it went down, which made me feel disgusted that a father would do that to a son. I would've objected to head over to this academy Ostanes told me about and save Somnus. However, at the same time, I would've told myself not to because of how suicidal and a waste of time it would be. I was still frustrated about it, but there was nothing I could do. All we can do was hope that he's safe.

Anyway, we all regrouped back at Beacon and got ourselves a ride by Sciathan to this academy I told everyone about. About what Ostanes told me, but I kept his name a secret. Finding about the Drahen Empire having their own independent academy for Huntsman, I was morbidly curious to know what it was like, since I've never heard about it.

The name of it was 'The Academy of Reclamation', which has kind of strange name to it because it was not similar to how Beacon and the others academies were named. Another dissimilar thing about this academy was it only houses Drahenese students. Nobody from Vale, Atlas, or any other kingdoms and independent settlements have ever attended there. So it looks like me and the others were going to be the only non-Drahenese students to waltz inside the mysterious academy.

My eyes laid on Wyvern as he held this nervous expression on his face as if he was about to deliver a speech in front of of thousands of people. But since he's a Prince, I shouldn't be surprised if he wasn't afraid to do that.

"Wyvern?" I called out his name.

"Yes…?" Wyvern slowly looked up as his right blue eye stared directly at me while his red eye was covered with his eyepatch.

"Are you okay?" I asked. "If you're feeling bad about Somnus, you don't have to blame yourself for it. You tried your best."

"I don't know what to say about that. I mean, the man that helped me recover from before, now fought against me and is holding Somnus on a leash. How would you feel if you were the one that failed to save him and Nathan arrived to see him disappear?"

"As much as I wanted to say 'No' about Captain Nathan Riley's decision, I wouldn't have any other choices, would I?" I sighed.

The both of us stayed silent for a few seconds.

"Just stop thinking about. He'll be fine."

"I know. I'm sure he can take care of himself, but that's not what I'm thinking about right now." Wyvern told me.

"What's there to worry you this much?"

"I'm not worried. It's just…it's been a while since I left The Academy of Reclamation, and things there were a little…complicated." Wyvern looked away.

"Let me guess. You drank a lot in a party and slept with some girl you never wanted to sleep with?" Yang teased.

"Never!" Wyvern said defensively. "You know I hate alcohol."

"Maybe that was what caused you for hating it now." She smirked mischievously.

"I did NOT drink and sleep with some girl!" He said with his face shaded with red. "What? Do you plan on becoming my first one?"

"In your dreams!" Yang blushed.

"Sometimes, dreams do come true, sis." I teased as well.

"Well, I know for sure that will certainly not happen."

"Does my body not satisfy you in any way?" Wyvern gave her the puffy eyes treatment, obviously teasing her back.

"What? N-N…Y-Y…SHUT UP!" She pouted and looked away embarrassingly.

I snickered and nudged Wyvern's arm. "She's so vulnerable and weird when you tease her like that." I whispered. "It's not like her."

"Meh. She's probably just feeling out of it today." He shrugged.

"Nah. It's because she likes you…" I mumbled.

"What was that?"

"Nothing."

Nora yawned after waking up from a small nap on Ren's shoulder. "Soooo…are we there yet?"

"We still got two more hours until we arrive there." Ren answered.

"Seriously?!" Nora groaned in annoyance. "Well, at least we can all spend some more quality time with each other."

"I hate to break it to you, but Ren was just messing with you. We're just ten minutes away from the academy." Wyvern snickered.

"I've been lied to by my own teammate! Traitor!" Nora whined.

"Can't I joke around too?" Ren looked away awkwardly.

"When you joke around, it doesn't sound like you." Jaune said.

Weiss looked out the window as the white fluffy clouds passed by the aircraft. Her legs were jittering while she was seated, showing her excitement to set foot on the mysterious academy she has never heard about. And to add the fact that the Headmaster himself has summoned them over to give a small amount of training to stop Ammit.

"Excited?" Blake asked.

"You bet I am!" Weiss smiled. "Maybe if I show off how powerful I can be in front of the headmaster, he can accept and welcome me as a student there after I finish up with Beacon."

"I wouldn't get too far into those expectations, Weiss." Pyrrha said.

"Why?"

"The Academy of Reclamation is exclusively for Drahenese citizens at this state. And I doubt they would accept the heiress of the Schnee Dust Company at this time. Two reasons: One, they'll think you're a spy to snoop in on their research and secrets. And two, they despise corruption a lot more than how your father hates the White Fang. And since your family is infamous for that because of your father, right…. You get what I mean." Pyrrha told her, a little guilty to ruin her hopes.

"My stupid father had to ruin everything for that." Weiss sighed. "If he would've not been so selfish and ignorant, maybe we would've had better relations with not only the other kingdoms, but the Drahen Empire too."

"Must've been rough." Jaune whistled.

"You have no idea." She huffed.

"Don't worry. When the time comes for you to lead the SDC, surely you can redeem yourself to fix the problems for your dust company and regain the the good reputation you once had." Blake smiled to help her out of the bad thoughts of the SDC's state.

"I will, and will always keep it that way!" Weiss smiled.

"And perhaps you can work alongside with the Drahen Empire when you fix the corruption in your business." Wyvern winked.

"Exactly!"

"And you're going to still be friends with the future Emperor and Empress, Wyvern and Yang!" I added.

"What? HEY!" Yang growled. "How many times do I need to repeat myself? We are NEVER going to get together!" She shouted with her face as red as a rose.

"Denial is the first stage of love~!" Nora sighed dreamingly.

Everyone laughed as Yang's face was even more redder from the embarrassment and anger of everyone teasing her. I calmed her down a bit as she sighed out all the steam. She even didn't want to look at Wyvern. I did feel a bit bad for my sister being embarrassed like that, just like everyone else. But we didn't do it just to make fun of her in a mean way. But in a friendly way. I'm sure she knows about that, but when it comes to Wyvern, she acts a lot more different. My first thought was maybe she actually like Wyvern deep down her heart.

Glynda sighed as she was seated next to Ozpin near the front behind the pilot seat where Sciathan was piloting the aircraft.

"I hope they can behave well when we get there." Glynda looked down at her riding crop.

"Children just being children. Don't worry, Glynda. I'm sure they already know their manners when it comes to going to the Academy of Reclamation." Ozpin said.

-(The Academy of Reclamation)-

After Sciathan warned all of us to get ready for landing, we put on our seat belts and felt the Bullhead descending to lower altitude. Since I've been through flying more than enough times for me to get used to, I didn't feel anything much.

However, Jaune was having a hard time trying to endure the butterfly inducing drops. He held onto Pyrrha's hand tightly as she just held his back to calm him down. She was blushing a bit as the altitude began to drop more faster.

When the landing sequence was over, we all unbuckled our seat belts and walked outside, with Jaune, aka 'Vomit Boy' running to the nearest garbage can. Yang and I stretched with Blake and Weiss as Wyvern just stepped out of the landing pad, aimlessly walking towards the academy as Drahenese students were still on campus.

My eyes stared at one of the most beautiful academies I have ever seen. The main tower was twice the size of the tower back at Beacon! Flowers, Artistic statues, and breathtaking scenery was all over the place as a few water fountains were spread out the area. Banners of the Drahen Empire and Zhulong Order were displayed in the clean white, blank, and grey buildings. Overall, the academy was the biggest I have ever seen. And it was so beautifully designed that I just wanted to find the designer of this place and shake his/her hand.

"This is the Academy of Reclamation…?" Ren stared at the place, amazed by it too.

"Okay, if I was forced to go to school here, I wouldn't mind, even if I didn't want to!" Nora laughed.

"I have to say, it's a beautiful sight." Pyrrha admitted. "What do you think, Jaune?"

"It's a little too dark here…" Jaune groaned as he was still head first in the trashcan after vomiting.

"Okay, I REALLY want to attend this academy. I mean, look at it!" Weiss pointed at the main campus up ahead of the long clean avenue.

"A once in a lifetime opportunity to see one of the most difficult places to see." Blake said.

"Yeah. At least I'll be known for something like that…" Weiss sighed.

"I wonder how long it took for this place to be built." Yang wondered.

"Good question." Blake began to think.

"So, when are the others going to arrive here?" Wyvern asked Ozpin and Glynda.

"They'll be here shortly. For now, we just wait out here until either someone leads us inside the academy, or the others arrive." Glynda answered.

Ozpin looked at his scroll and put it away. "In a few minutes, 'he' will be coming out. Just get ready to meet your old Headmaster, Wyvern."

"Understood." He nodded and headed back to me.

"Who does he mean by 'he'?" I asked.

"You'll see any minute now."

While the others were either admiring the academy or talking to each other, I saw Wyvern walk towards a statue near the center of the open outer campus. It was a man with thick armor that was somewhat similar to Ostanes', but with less spikes. His left shoulder pad was of a Beowolf's skull while his wrist had some sort of data pad connected to his gauntlets. What really caught me off guard was his weapon that he held. It was a huge scythe that looked way more technologically advanced more than my Crescent Rose. Below him was fragments of bones from the Grimm he has killed.

Wyvern bowed at the statue while his hand was placed on the podium where the statue stood.

"Who's that?" I asked Wyvern as we both stared at the statue.

"Ostanes told me all about this man." Wyvern stepped forward. "Have you ever heard of the Antediluvians?"

"N-No." I lied, knowing I had to act like I never heard of this stuff for Ostanes.

"They're an ancient race that used to exist 1,000,000 years ago, who were believed to be the most intelligent and technologically advanced race that has ever set foot in Remnant. Ostanes told me about this, since he believed that they used to exist. Now, I'm a believer as well." Wyvern chuckled and looked back at the statue. "Ostanes told me that this man was actually the original founder of this island, which turned into a huge antediluvian settlement, and protected it from the ancient Grimm by himself for more than 90 years."

"Wow…" I stared up at the statue in amazement.

"After many years of protecting his fellow antediluvians, they started to get trained by him to lead on to protect the island after his time was coming into an end. Unfortunately, the settlement slowly drifted away along with its people, but lasted for over 800 years."

"I really wish I would've met this guy. He sounds so cool!" I jumped up and down in excitement. "What was his name?"

"It's right here." Wyvern pointed at the name plate just near the statue's feet.

I walked closer to read the man's name as it said…

"Bidziil Werner", was his name.

In the corner of my eye, I saw a man that had the same exact outfit and weapon of the statue of Bidziil. He took off his helmet, revealing his divine and clean dark red hair silver eyes, and pale face. My eyes widened as he approached the podium, giving it a small glance before looking down on the ground. His body was not solid at all, unlike Ostanes when he appears as if he was actually present and alive. Ethereal, is the word I can describe it. The form of a ghost or spirit, and not alive.

I quickly shook Wyvern's arm to get his attention.

"Wyvern! Is that him?!" I pointed at the man who looked exactly like Bidziil.

"Huh?" Wyvern looked where he was at. "Where is he?"

"Right there!" I kept my finger pointed at him. The figure of Bidziil just stood there, looking up at his statue and closed his eyes.

"Wait, what're you talking about? There's nobody there, Ruby." Wyvern told me.

"B-But…he's-" I looked back at the man, but he was no longer there. "Where'd he go?"

"Ruby," Wyvern crossed his arms and looked down at me, "did you get enough sleep last night?"

"I did!" I answered. "Seriously, I saw the man from the statue right there!"

"Bidziil has been dead for a very long time. Wait…" He froze and looked back at me, "did you see his ghost?"

"Well…." Then I come into a realization. "Come to think of it, he didn't really look solid, if you know what I mean…"

"How come you saw him, and not me?"

"I don't know." I shrugged.

"That's kind of strange." Wyvern scratched his chin. "The academy has never reported any ghost sightings in the past. Especially if it's some spirit that looks like Bidziil himself."

Suddenly, the sound of the huge doors opening in the front of the academy was heard in echoes as everyone turned their attention to the entrance. Ozpin and Glynda stepped forward in front of my team while facing the door. Wyvern and I just walked back to the group as the door was finally open.

There stood a man with white and golden colored armor and robes with a huge curved Zhanmadao sword, but not as big as Ostanes' Zanbatō. Light skinned with his hair colored like gold with his goatee beard, there was something specifically strange about his appearance. His eyes changed into different colors, which could be seen from where I stood because of the light glow. It changed from green to blue so far. It was almost like my sister when she gets angry, but the man changed the color of his eyes that depended on his emotions.

The man quietly stood there as every student and staff just stood where they were. Silence filled the air as heavily armored and intimidating looking guards came out of he door and lined up a path from the top to bottom of the stairs.

"Who is that?" Yang asked while staring at the man.

"The Headmaster of this academy." Wyvern answered. "But there's one important thing you should know about him."

"What is it?" I asked.

"That 'man' is Master Ostanes' zhulong companion." He told us. "The one who has helped create and defend the Drahen Empire from the very beginning when it was first born."

I was at a lost for words after hearing about what Wyvern told me about this man. A zhulong that is Ostanes' companion ever since the beginning of the Drahen Empire. His white and golden colored armor clattered as he walked down the tall set of stairs. The staff and students suddenly stopped what they were doing and bowed to show their respect to their Headmaster. Ozpin and Glynda lowered their heads too and bowed.

Jaune knew he had to do the same thing to formally greet the Headmaster of this academy. Plus it was what the Drahenese people do to formally greet someone or say goodbye. He and his team bowed as me and my team did the same. Wyvern bowed, but was told to step forward towards this 'Ranmaru' zhulong.

"Elder Ranmaru." Wyvern bowed again. "It's so good to see you again." He smiled.

"Welcome back, Prince Wyvern." Ranmaru gave a small smile back and bow.

(Information in RWBY: The Recidivist Universe)

Elder Ranmaru is recognized by many to be one of the key founders of the Zhulong Order to the Drahen Empire, and Headmaster of the Academy of Reclamation. The rest of his entire past is shrouded in mystery. However, he served as Ostanes' zhulong companion as the two of them had a very strong friendship to one another for many years. Even though many outside the Drahen Empire believe Ranmaru built the academy himself, it is said that the academy wasn't built by him. Instead, it was believed to be an antediluvian citadel that existed from the past built by Bidziil Werner.

(Damn…. I literally felt like I was one of the busiest guys in the world. Four College Class Finals in the past two days, renovating my house with my dad, slightly working on Wild Blue Yonder, Drawing a new cover, and working on this story at the same time. I really hope I can post the next chapter early this time. Because I felt bad for the people who wanted a new chapter for this story. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this one.)

Response to "Guest"- It's okay ^^. As for your question, maybe no sex scenes or something of Wyvern and Yang or the others. Because I'm not sure if my readers would like that, even if one or two people actually want to see that. There is moderate sexual content in this story, but nothing too far.
