An hour later, after leaving Michael with Lindsay, Eddie balanced Ronnie on his hip as they walked into the room; she had the teddy bear under one arm and a chocolate bar in her other hand. They found Rachel sat in the chair, holding Olivia with Phil next to her.

"Rache, someone wants to talk to you; I'll stay with Olivia and Phil."

She nodded before she handed her youngest daughter to Eddie after he had put Ronnie doen; Rachel took her hand, leading her out to the seats in the corridor wjere she sat her on her lap.

"I'm sorry mommy."

"Why did you shout at mommy?"

"Me scared."

"Of starting school?"

Ronnie nodded.

"Well, that's okay baby girl because everyone gets scared sometimes; mommy and daddy were scared when your sister came early and Phil got scared when his daughter was born and Michael got scared when he started school too. But when I picked him up he had lots of fun and made lots of friends."

"But you'll forget me." She said, staring at her with wide eyes.

"I will never ever forget you; I'll be there everyday, I promise."

"Okay."

"Where did you get the chocolate?" She asked, noticing the half melted bar in her daughters hand.

"Fo you mommy: daddy said...you like chocolate when you sad."

"Thank you." She said, taking it off her.

"Mommy." She started quietly.

"Yeah baby girl?"

"I smasheded my snow globe."

"That's what you get for throwing your stuff on the floor." She answered, stating the obvious.

"Sorry mommy."

"Come on, let's go back to your sister."

Balancing on her moms hip, Ronnie rested her head on her shoulder and slowly drifted off, her teddy still tucked tightly under her arm; when they went back into the room, she sat on a chair, her daughter on her lap as she looked at Eddie.

"Sort things out?"

"Yeah, I hope so."

"She was pretty scared."

"Dont I know it?! You know she smashed her disney princess snow globe your dad got her?"

"She must've been angry to smash that; sje loved it."

"I know but after the way she behaved, I'm not going to reward her by buying her another one."

"I know; we should get her home."

"Why dont I take her back in your car Eddie so you two can stay here? It'll save having to pay parking again." Phil offered.

"Are you sure Phil?" Rachel asked.

"Course."

"Okay but she's not to have any chocolate and she can only watch tv if you and Michael are."

"Okay." He said, lifting her into his arms as Eddie gave him the car keys.

As he left, Rachel held Olivia again as Eddie looked on.

"she's amazing; she's a mixture of Lawson and Mason." She said.

"She's definitely more a Mason; stubborn and a fighter, like her mom."

"I cant believe she's finally getting to come home; she's perfect. We should celebrate or something tonight?"

"I was thinking that myself; I've already phoned my dad and Kim and Chris. They'll be there at five so they've got a couple of hours til the kids go to bed."

"Okay."

"Can I get you anything?"

"Er, can you get me the baby bag? I want to change her into the new outfit I brought her."

"Here you go." He said as he handed it to her.

"I want her to look nice for her first time in the house and meeting everyone properly."

"She's looking perfect."

He smiled as he looked at his month old daughter, dressed in a pink onesie with a pink hat on her head; Rachel kissed her forehead as the doctor came in.

"I heard you'd come back early; how's my favourite patient doing?" She asked.

"Perfect" was Rachel's only answer.

"Well, everything looks good so I'm going to say you can take your daughter home now." She said, signing the discharge papers. "Obviously, you know she'll have to come to the Paediatric clinic once a month for a check up."

"No problem."

"Okay then, good luck; she looks amazing."

"Thank you...for saving our little girl; it means a lot."

"I was just doing my job." She smiled before leaving the room.

Rachel looked at her daughter as Eddie got the bag ready before they left.
