![]() Author has written 6 stories for Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Sherlock, and Sherlock Holmes. The problem with putting story/shipping info on this is, every time that changes, I've got to change my profile. Sigh... It took me a few minutes to find a nice pic for my profile. I could've gone with something that works with my penname, shakespeareaddict, but then I saw that picture. You can't fully appreciate it unless you see it full-sized, so here's a deviantART link for it: That should be the link, at least. Heh. About me: I enjoy the Bard's work, as you can probably guess, and I do plan on including quotes from him. I'm just waiting for the perfect oppurtunity to have someone say "Out, out, brief candle!" I read a lot of stuff. I like the Leviathan series, I like Harry Potter, I like the Republic Commando series. I like sci-fi, fantasy, steampunk, mystery, legal dramas, romances, and humorous stuff. Basically, if it looks good, I'll read it. This has, of course, gotten me into trouble: I once picked up a promising novel called Clone Codes merely for the title, and while it was good in parts it sometimes read like a bad fanfic. I also enjoy music, mostly U2 and Train, plus some Queen. Recently my younger sister has roped me into Taylor Swift, and I like her more and more each time I listen to her songs. I'm still a student, though I won't tell you where or what my age is. I am, however, in America. I try not to be racist or prejudiced, and read slash, yaoi, boy's love, whathaveyou, gladly, as well as femslash (yuri). I'm considering going into accounting for a career choice, because it could offer the semi-flexible schedule I'll need to continue writing part-time. Yes, one day I plan on my stories taking me somewhere. I deny the existance of Season 3 of Clone Wars. About my work (general): I've been a long-time fan of Sherlock Holmes stories in any incarnation. Those two Holmes-related fics I've posted? They're not going to be the only ones; however, all my fics for any Holmes incarnation will be found on AO3 (archiveofourown.org), not here. My username there is, once again, shakespeareaddict. As for Star Wars fics--I plan on writing more, I'm just currently stuck in a rut on that end. (Specific): "Over the Wall and Home Again": I more or less wrote this in one sitting, and am ridiculously proud of it. There is non-explicit Holmes/Watson slash, friends-to-lovers, what have you, but I really, really am proud of this one. "Fall": Just a sonnet I wrote on Shakespeare's birthday. "What Happens Over Hevoi Brings Interesting Results": I more or less have everything planned out, the problem is actually writing it. I've got the next two chaps all written up, but they need some serious editing, which might not happen for some time. I'm estimating at least another six chapters, maybe seven, plus an epilogue or three. Don't worry, I will finish this. "After the Order": My series of one-shots will continue until I can tell you what happens for Zach, Cap, Bluebird, and the other members of the 49th in detail, perhaps afterwards as well. I foresee as many as twenty, thirty chapters. I will also tell the tales of canon clones, including what happened to Fives, Echo, Chopper, and Cody, among others. Me being the hopeless romantic I am, I'll also include most of the guys with a girl, or mentioning a girl they have, because come on, after surviving all this they deserve a woman or a friend to take care of them. "Cody and Bariss: Small Steps": Thomas Edison didn't invent the lightbulb overnight. He tried hundreds of times before getting it right. And so will we all. This, I think, is one of those hundred times I did not get it right. I'm sorry, I doubt I'll be finishing this. "Reforged": Intended as a stand-alone piece. I might continue it at some point in the future, if I get a good enough idea. Future: "Hevoi" is supposed to be an origins story, ergo there will be sequels. I will document the history of the 49th up until around the Battle of Yavin era, perhaps longer or shorter for specific characters, and write it in (potentially) two series (seri?) and one giant ending thing, to document the end of the Empire and what the survivors of 66 do to help bring it about. "Hevoi" is the first of what I am calling Tales of Iron Will. Sooner or later, everyone will get a happy-ish ending--I'm too much of a sap to do otherwise. Again, I'm also a romantic, so expect (hopefully non-crappy) romance. "After the Order" and the seri resulting from my beloved 49th's escapade will therefore eventually merge, though there are already mental continuity problems, because I changed when I wanted "Flying Away" to happen and the mention of non-Fett clones just doesn't fit canonically. My respect for the Skywalker men is next-to-none, so I'll probably make them both look very silly when I write them. I also once wanted to rewrite the last couple of chapters of Behemoth with the idea that Deryn told Alex she was a girl, but then I read Goliath. It's perfect the way it is. Hetalia-wise...I actually wanted to do more with this before than I probably ever will. I think anything I post now will be crossovers where important people meet the personifications of their countries. In regards to Sherlock, Sherlock Holmes (2009), etc...again, see my AO3 (archiveofourown.org) profile for more. My user name there is the same as it is here. If I ever come up with an idea for a Whisper of the Heart/The Cat Returns fic, I'll probably do that, too. Also, I'm betaing the story of my friend edward'sforeverlover. As you can imagine, it's Twilight, but it's actually really good. I say this as a recovering Twihard. About my shippings: Star Wars (movies and Clone Wars): Rexsoka, Codariss, Greedariss, flirtatious-but-not-serious-Obitress, should-have-been-but-never-was-Obi-WanxSiri, Anime, HanxLeia, DarmanxEtain, A'tinxLaseema, OrdoxBesany. I don't read the books, really, so I have no opinion on most other pairings, but it is my firm belief that the clones are not gay. I loathe clonesest with a passion. I will not read it unless there is something else there that can act as sufficient brainbleach. Like the Skywalkers. Again, I find both Anakin and Luke ridiculous and distracting enough to make me look the other way. Hetalia (yaoi, nyo, part-nyo, or neko, I discriminate not): UKUS (because England was a pirate, not a pansy), PruCan, some Franada, AusHun, occasional PruHun or PruAus, Dennor, Sufin, Spamano, GerIta, Giripan, PolandxLithuania, Pirate!UKxHisCaptives (in as much of a non-rape way there is). I find it ironic that I don't like gay clones but all my pairings that don't include Hungary for Hetalia are, canonically speaking, very gay. I don't really hate any pairings in APH, not even RusAm or any sort of incest, if it's set up well. I also labor under the belief that England and America are either ex-stepbrothers, like in that old movie Clueless, or just best friends who ended up...you know. Leviathan: DerynxAlex and VolgerxBarlow, the latter in a "we're the smartest and most scheming people in the world, so why not flirt with each other?" sort of way--they're probably not going to get married, they'll just be trading winks and innuendos and daring one to outdo the other. Sherlock: Johnlock, platonic Johnlock, Mormor, platonic Mormor, and Mystrade. Just because Mycroft bothered to find out Lestrade's first name doesn't mean they're dating or he's stalking his new love. (Or does it...?) Most of my other ships for whatever I like are also canon ships. Except in Star Trek: 2009. Spirk all the way, thanks to a wonderful fic you'll find in my favorites known as Atlas. |
