 Author has written 10 stories for Keeper of the Lost Cities, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, and Polar Express. Hi! I'm an aspiring writer from New England. I'm fairly new to fandom, but I love words, so I made the leap. I have been on hiatus for a super long time, but trying to come back, so bear with me. A little about me: I'm a Christian. Eye color: Teal (no, seriously!) You can find me on Instagram at strawbryroan. Fandoms: I have zero time to be in any fandoms, but when I emerge you can find me consuming KOTLC, PJO/any Riordan series, VLD, Narnia, ASOUE, and HTTYD. Favorite movie: If I have to pick one, it would be HTTYD, just the first movie, because the second was frankly not as good. But I'm also really nerdy and love a lot of old movies, like Rio Grande and The Swiss Family Robinson, 1940 version. Favorite book: Can you feel that? I'm glaring. How does one pick a favorite book, exactly? Ask me my top 50, I might be able to... Favorite authors: Ok, that's more manageable. I was going to go by reading level, but alphabetical was easier:
I'll add to it as I remember. Give these largely under appreciated authors some love! Favorite KOTLC character: Drumroll please... Dex! What was that? You could tell? How?! I mean I love them all, but if I could ship myself with any of them it would be him. Favorite KOTLC ship: Sophitz! Which sometimes feels a little lonely these days... Some random facts: I play the piano. Classical and sacred music. I burst out laughing if I hit my funny bone. (Don't ask - it's totally involuntary) I ride horses in a skirt. (I get incredulous looks on that a lot, but I do! No, not sidesaddle.) I love to collect random facts. (Can you tell?) For instance, the reason cats go to the people that hate them in a crowded room is because those people are the ones not staring at them. Staring means 'back off' in cat. To say 'let's be friends,' you should squint lazily at the cat, then look away, then repeat. And how about this: the great Chicago fire was not the greatest fire in U.S. history at the time. The Peshtigo fire in Wisconsin killed 8 times as many people, and burned a lot of forest. Why don't we know about it? It happened on the same night as the Chicago fire. |
