In 1920, a group of researchers look into the family structure. They stumble upon a large family with the last name of Loud. Their study will become culturally important, and part of the knowledge base of civilization as we know it.

Rocky has to go to Florida for two weeks to visit his dying grandmother. While he is gone, Lucy starts to fall into a depression because she misses him so much. When family time doesn't work, Lincoln suggests she hang out with Clyde as a friend. This works surprisingly well, and with Clyde's help, Lucy is able to make it through the two weeks.
