![]() Author has written 2 stories for Escaflowne, and Cowboy Bebop. Riiiight, figured it was about time to give my bio/profile thingy wotsit a face-lift lol. Hi, I'm Kiku-Kitten :) How ya doin? Lol. The real name's Mandy but I'm called Mandalicious, Kiku... all kinds of things so call me whatever you like lol. I'm 17, I live in England, I'm in sixthform (college, whatever) studying English Literature, French and Fine Art & Design and I'm a girl... in case that wasn't already obvious. I don't write all that often but when I do I love to really get stuck into the topic. I have lots of ideas floating in my idea for various TV series, anime, manga and the odd film but I never have enough patience to write them down... ergo why I don't write so much and have like 1 and bit of a story. But I am an avid reader thus the study of English Lit. :) I love to read, anything and everything. I also love graphic novels, manga, you name it, and I'll read it. I like to think when I write reviews I give constructive criticism but usually I just end up giving loads of praise or not reviewing at all heh... My keen obsession in life mixes science, art and foreign languages and looking at other cultures... guess it makes me look like a bit of an Anthropolgist. Amusing considering I can be a bit of a hermit at times lol. But also having lots of fun :) speaking as a manic/depressive, socialisation and learning about different people nowadays and just generally having fun are a huge aspect of life for me :). I love to laugh and sing whether I'm indoors, out with friends, or sitting in the middle of an interview or an assembly lol. S'pose I've spent way too much time being miserable that I'm sick of it now lol. I'm a person of deep reflection and inquisitive thought though. I like to wrestle with things in my head quite a lot. I have quite an argumentative and analytical mind and personality... very British lol. Oh yeah also I'm not entirely British, I've got mixed roots as I learned recently lol. I'm English, Welsh, Irish, French, Dutch and German :) lol so still all European lol. Right, I've probably bored you to death now talking about me all the time despite that being the point of these things lol but I'll just spin off what I like to read and/or occasionally write on here: x InuYasha x Tenkuu no Escaflowne x Cowboy Bebop x Loveless x Gravitation x Hellsing x Kannazuki no Miko x Ginban Kaleidoscope x Princess Ai x MARS x DN Angel x Howl's Moving Castle x Chobits x Ghost in the Shell ... Now on to everything NOT anime lol... x Bones x Buffy the Vampire Slayer x The 10th Kingdom x Final Fantasy Series (I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII (inc. Advent Children), VIII, X, X-2, XII) x And the occasional Devil May Cry tale... Lol wow that's a long list. Most of the time it's anime fanfiction that I read but I mix and match to suit my mood but I'm typically into the soppy romantic stuff lol yeah, I'm a big softie. Most of all though, I love a tale of passion. I love stories that really grab at you and force you to feel things that you've never felt before, things that you never COULD feel before... like a novel that allows you to feel the devastation of a Mother losing a child, even if you're a middle-aged man that's never had children... or a child yourself. I've always loved such tales ever since I was a young. Its one of the few things in life that I will always treasure; it is something that has saved me when I've felt as if the world cannot possibly be an uglier place, reading is a beautiful escape. I believe it was Frederick Douglass that once said, "Once you learn to read, you will forever be free." |
