When Onslaught is captured in battle, the Autobots discover the program. Now, for the first time since the Detention Center, the Combaticons may have a say in their own fate.

The fall of Praxus is deeply traumatic, and not just for the tactician visiting his home city at the time. Written for the PxJ community's anniversary challenge.

In which Skyfire a soft spoken, amiable, somewhat out of place scientist (who twice spent a stint of time as a living Popsicle and one as a Decepticon), ends up being friends with Sideswipe the charismatic, somewhat detrimental-to-the-sanity-of-his-fellows, resident toughliner, and no one understands the logistics of how that happened. Certain things should be unthinkable. Nothing truly is. With Shockwave involved, Prowl and the crew of the Ark are forced to confront the shadows that can lie in a mech's spark. Complete!
