The Green Light of Power - Draco was in no state to be fighting.
The strangest thoughts were flashing through his mind, like the first time his father had beat him. When his father taught him to use the Cruciatus curse. When his father told him he was to be marked. When his father taught him Avada Kedavra. ‘And now I don’t have a father…’

Fragments - Harry was smiling widely. “Hey, mate. How was the rest of your summer?”
“Too short,” I replied. “Now it’s back to work again,” I said, but in good humor.
“Come, sit,” said Mione, patting the seat next to her. I sat.
“Why is that Zabini kid here,” I asked in a whisper.
“Malfoy brought him. Apparently his father locked him up when he told his family he didn’t want to fight for Voldemort.”
I winced when she said the name. “Oh Ron, He’s dead. There’s no harm in saying his name now.”
“Just a habit,” I said.

When It's All You Have Left - The next morning, Ginny awoke to find herself alone. She was lying on the floor of the cave, her hands no longer bound to the wall.
Squinting, she tried to remember the events of the night before. After several moments, it all came rushing back to her. With a sob, she realized that her body was sore and her wrists bruised. She felt very weak.

Empty Bottles - "Oh…" said Luna slowly. "But, your dad’s not really dead though."
Draco looked strangely at her, and Ginny’s eyes widened. "What?" asked Draco.
"Well, Daddy says that the death eaters all pretended to be dead so that they could escape from Azkaban. It’s in The Quibbler," she said. She fished around in her hair for a moment before pulling out a rolled up magazine, and passing it to Draco.

My Little Project - “What’s wrong with you?” Draco asked suddenly. Although his voice was quiet to keep from waking his roommates, the confusion in it was evident. Dean squinted confusedly at him. “Why do people hate mud-…muggle-borns? I can’t think of anything different between us!”
“Oh, Draco, there is no reason.”
“There is. There has to be. My father doesn’t do things for no reason.”

Moony Night - James’ stag form approached Remus quietly. He brushed his nose along the wolf’s back. Remus’ tail started wagging furiously. Even though his human mind was beneath the wolf’s and unable to take control, the wolf recognized his friend’s scent, and was comforted.
Sirius barked excitedly and started running in circles around his friends. He barked again and took off for the forest.
The wolf followed quickly behind him, and James took up the rear, making sure that, should Remus take off in a different direction, he could easily catch up and restrain the potentially violent werewolf.
