Matt is a retired United States Navy Nuclear Submarine Lieutenant Commander. During his 20 year career in the military, he completed a dozen missions vital to national security aboard Los Angeles Fast Attack Submarines. Additionally, he volunteered for a tour of duty in the Middle East with his boots on the ground in 2003. Since retiring from military service, Matt has enjoyed a diverse number of experiences as a radio talk show host, candidate for US Congress, entrepreneur, Mergers & Acquisitions specialist, small business consultant, commercial real estate director, construction superintendent, amateur improvisational comedian, and power plant General Manager.

He has also co-authored a book about the culture aboard Nuclear Submarines which is scheduled for publication in August of 2016.
