This is a RWBY next gen AU following the story of the Scarlett Rose and Joseph Arc the children of Ruby and Jaune 21 years after their war with Salem came to an end. As they start their journey to step out from behind the shadow of their parents and become a great Huntsman and huntress in their own right.

April Fool's Day proved no different for Jaune Arc's dating game, rejected once more by Weiss Schnee. Intent on having fun, he accepts Ruby's "Prank Date." Hi-jinks ensue as the over the top Jaune spends an evening with the prodigy Ruby Rose, who is on a legitimate date.

Seeing that young man die in initiation was horrifying for her. Even with all her time in the White Fang, she hadn't expected to see such an idealistic man as Jaune Arc die like that. It should have been nothing more than a tragedy... Instead she's now stuck with the lingering spirit of this guy following her around, and no one else can hear or see him in any way. Jaune x Blake

Jaune & Velvet meet, beginning to have feelings for Jaune, she does what she can to get him to notice her with the help of others including Team RWBY as well as the remainder of Team JNPR. All the while this is happening, Pyrrha begins to show her true feelings for Jaune as well adding complication for both girls in a race to secure him as their man.

Ruby thought the hard part of dating Jaune was long over. They'd gotten their friends' approval. They'd gotten Yang's approval. They'd even gotten Dad and Uncle Qrow's approval, which had been only slightly more trying than confessing to Jaune in the first place. So meeting his family should be smooth sailing… right?
