![]() Wow, you actually came here to know more about me I suppose I can oblige. ;) My nickname is Sax. I play, or I should say played, a plethora of instruments, including just about every saxophone you could imagine for around eight years. I managed to teach myself piano before I actually went and had lessons. Unfortunately, I'm not good at it, even though I like to think I am. Need someone to play Pop Goes the Weasel on piano? I'm all over it; that and Tarantella. It'll be useful in case I ever get bit by a tarantula (inside music joke). I've been at fanfiction for quite sometime; mostly as a reader, never as a writer. I'm a firm believer there's no such thing as a perfect story, which is why I'll never review someone's story and leave a negative comment, even if they ask for critiques. My critique could very easily be some else's favorite part of the story, even if it is just my opinion. I do find stories incredibly hard to read if they don't carry a coherent storyline or carry loads of grammatical errors, so I'm always on the look out for a really well-developed fanfiction to be marked as a favorite. I absolutely LOVE X-Men; comics, movies, cartoons, video games--if it involves X-Men, I've seen it or played it. I've had a thing for super heroes ever since I was younger, and it all got started from the X-Men. Don't get me started on which one is my favorite. I've got a crap load, and I randomly chose Gambit as my avatar since it was the first picture I saw when uploading one. I'm also an enormous fan of Digimon (I can't believe how much flack I get for that! Come on, it's Digimon, how can you not like it), and have recently gotten into Bleach (Shunsui is so awesome). And I like my reality shows: more so Big Brother than any others. Even though I like to play music, I'm not much of a fan in listening to it, so I really don't have a favorite song. I'm also an avid reader, and my favorite book is The Once and Future King by T.H. White. I have yet to figure out why. I've always found Arthurian Legends to be so overrated, but at the same time so compelling. Just like MASH; I can't stand the show, but when visiting the grandparents and they're watching it, I'll sit and watch, and actually get into it (I know, even though I hate it). Oh, I'm also a big fan of Nick@Nite. Generally, I'm a laid back guy. I do believe first impressions are important, but at the same time, I also think I have no right to judge someone if I don't know them. I like to think I'm simply complex. :) "Let's think the unthinkable, let's do the undoable, let's prepare to grapple with the ineffable itself, and see if we may not eff it after all." - Douglas Adams |
