![]() Author has written 5 stories for Doctor Who. Hello. Thank you for taking a few moment of your time to read my profile. Hopefully you will learn a little more about me and the things I like. Books (just a few...) The Duncton Chronicals, Watership Down, The Inkheart Trilogy, Wildwood Dancing, The Skulduggery Pleasant series, Un Lun Dun, The Inheritance Cycle and Oliver Twist. Music Linkin Park, Paramore, Blue Foundation, The Black Ghosts, Iron and Wine, Guns 'n' Roses, Bloodhound Gang, Frou Frou, Nickleback, Billie Piper, Bloodhound Gang, Counting Crows, The Veronicas, Killing Heidi, Human Nature, Carter Burwell, Bach, Handel, Taylor Swift, Avril Lavigne and Delta Goodrem. Me and the Doctor: How I became addicted to the adventures of our favorite Time Lord. Two of my friends got me into the Doctor and .now they wished they hadn't. I started, of all places, with Journey's End (it was what was on at the time I became interested), and although I didn't understand half of what was going on, I nearly cried over the departures of Rose and Donna. However, I went back to the start, and with the boxed set of series 1 clutched in my sweaty little hand, I became enthralled. I continued to watch, to learn, to absorb- and now I am here. I have the boxed sets of series 1-4, the complete Tennant specials, the soundtrack to series 1/2, my own sonic screwdriver, many books, TARDIS cuff-links (my sister sent them over from London- don't ask) and a subscription to the Doctor Who Club of Australia. The friends who started it all now call me obsessive- I call myself a Whovian. But there's more to it then that. For me, it's who the Doctor is, and what he represents: Hope. Hope that there is someone watching out for us. Hope that we can do better, because someone believes in our potential. Hope for the future of the human race- that we will grow and learn and travel. Hope that things will get better- someday. To me, the Doctor is a hero, as I'm sure he is to many. Someone to look up to, someone to believe in. I need that. The world needs that. Because as I'm sure all my fellow Whovians know just how much the world needs this man. The Oncoming Storm, The Lonely God, The Last of the Time Lords...The Doctor. I am a singer and dancer, a poet and author, an actor and artist. I am a girl with aspergers syndrome and a love of science-fiction. These are the things that make me who I am. If it weren't for the individual little quirks of human beings, the world would be a very boring place. Quotes "Love. It's when you can't fall asleep at night because reality is finally better than your dreams" ~Dr. Seuss~ "If you're going to be annoying then you might as well make the most of it. Why be difficult when you can be impossible?" ~A friend~ "You were fantastic. Absolutly fantastic. And d'you know what? So was I!" ~The 9th Doctor's last words~ "I'm average- it takes years to become brilliant" ~A friend~ "I wish I'd never met you Doctor, I was much better off as a coward" ~Captain Jack Harkness~ "Love is like war; easy to begin, hard to end" ~Unknown~ "This is who I am, right here, right now, all right? All that counts is here and now, and this is me!" So said the Doctor in 'The End of the World.' And my profile is here to tell you who I am right here and now. Thank you for taking the time to read my ramblings and hopefully learn a little about me in the process. Reviews make my day, and I am willing to take constructive criticism to further improve my writing. This and all that is written above in my profile is who I am, right here, right now. | |||||||
