Investigator Bailey Pickett Martin gets chosen to investigate the murder of Jason Blossom when she meets Jughead she has a feeling something isnt right and starts a completely different investigation one that changes everything her husband and twin brother everything they have ever known about their life.

"Whatever sick fears were brewing he needed to wash them out now, because this was Riverdale, and whatever twisted horrible stories floated by on the news as he moved through the house, did not happen here." Archie clings to what he knows, a difficult task as his best friend has suddenly gone missing in a town that seems, very recently, to favor the unknown.

The Riverdale Community Theatre is staging: "A Midsummer Night's Dream". Betty Cooper sees this as an opportunity to make the company's most sought-after actor, Archie Andrews, hers. Unfortunately, new girl in town, Veronica Lodge has scored a lead role, putting her directly opposite Archie. Jughead Jones is unexpectedly thrown into the spotlight. Eventual Bughead.

Betty is tired of having feelings for Jughead Jones and him barely even noticing her. After being stood up at Veronica's birthday party, Betty is more determined than ever to make Jughead see her romantically.

Betty slowly begins to realize that there are only so many times one can have their heart broken before there are too many pieces to pick up alone. Jughead begins to understand that a constant supply of food isn't the only thing he needs in his life.

This is the direct sequel to the "Outliers" storyline. Please go read that story first! "Outliers is a series of interactions between Jughead and Cheryl that take place in between the time that we see these characters onscreen. "Outliers" takes place in early/mid-season 1, whereas "Passing Ships" follows almost immediately after the season 1 finale (most recent episode).

Homecoming. It's supposed to be the best night of every teenager's life. But how can it be the best night of your life if your friends and girlfriend betray you and your dad gets arrested for murder? Jughead is frustrated that Sheriff Keller, someone he didn't care about, could make a case about the things nobody seemed to notice or remember about his life and make it out like he was a criminal, not a kid falling through the cracks of an obviously broken system.

Cheryl gives Jughead a new lead on Jason's death. One that leads to the Tipton Hotel. But why is the Tipton such a huge lead?
