Rick realizes Heaven ain't just for dreams when he keeps waking up to a Daryl in his bed every morning.

Daryl has always been watching Rick, slowly falling for him, but he can never let Rick know that. Their emotions come to light during their time together in Alexandria, but it's all short lived when Negan arrives to tear them apart and take Daryl captive, just when Daryl is learning how to love Negan is bent on breaking him. Can Rick save him or will it end in fire?

Daryl couldn't bring himself to look at Rick as that calloused thumb dipped slightly into his mouth. In his life he had never had anything close to this, and though he has no idea what he's doing, he'll follow Rick through anything. No matter what it is that Rick wants, because just maybe that's what he wants as well.

Page 388 of Mockingjay. There's a scene that's glossed over in the last paragraph. I like to think this is that scene, a moment captured in time that perhaps was left untouched for the privacy of Katniss and Peeta. A small pocket of time where they were able to be themselves, for once. I recommend playing the song Safe & Sound while reading. **Catching Fire Mockingjay spoilers!**
