Hiya!

Here on FF.net, I am known as Zylis (used to go by the name of Naz) and I guess you could say I am someone who enjoys a good dose of yaoi ;) I first joined FF.net simply to read, save to favorites and review fanfics, but after awhile I decided I would like writing a few of my own. I've always loved writing, so taking the opportunity to write stories about characters that I really love, admire and appreciate seemed like a really perfect hobby to me. I have also really enjoyed really creative hobbies and am also a cosplayer, which is something I absolutely adore doing.

I am currently attending University and have been studying in several subject areas in the past year: Creative/Professional Writing, Journalism, Criminology, Japanese and Psychology. I've really been enjoying them and from the looks of it I will be continuing in Journalism, Criminology and Writing.

There are so many pairings and series' that I enjoy but I have to say there are some that are always going to stand out for me. So, generally, because I love those pairings or series' so much, they will be the ones that I write about.

I do love reviews and PMs, they push me to continue writing and improving. I also really enjoy them because I like communicating and interacting with fellow fans and sharing ideas. Because of this, I am always open to someone requesting something and I will see what I can do. I really like challenging myself while also being able to do something for a fan.

Hey all,

Just wanted to make a quick update to tell you all that I have changed my pen name from Naz-Chan to Zylis. Why? Because it's a new year and I wanted to start fresh. I have a new story in the works at the moment that I think is going to be something quite different for me, because I will be trying to tackle new things with it. So, I thought why not change things up a bit :)

Author update (3rd December 2012)

Hey there readers,

So I know it has been forever since I posted Chapter 4 of Operation Sound and I am so so so sorry that I haven't posted Chapter 5. I'm still tweaking it. I want it to be great, and at the moment... I don't know, some things about it need fixing. So I am, as I type this, also working on the fifth chapter. I really want to thank everyone who has been so patient with me about it. I've had a few PMs asking about it, and to answer for everyone: no I haven't forgotten about Operation Sound! I still am writing it. Don't worry! I have been distracted with other things though, such as Uni exams, holidays etc. However, I have also been working on plans for more stories, which I am also really excited about, but I promise to get Operation Sound done first.

Chapter 5 is just taking awhile because I really am trying to fit it all in, I want some humour, some romance, a conclusion to the whole mission, some angsty and actiony stuff with Orochimaru...the whole shebang. This is the story I am, as of right now, most proud of so far, so I really want to end it in a way that makes me really happy and in a way that makes me feel is actually quality.

That's all I really wanted to say. Again, thanks for your patience!

Naruto (I idolise this boy!), Sasuke, Kakashi, Tsunade, Minato.

I have I cosplay Sasuke and have done so at a few meets mostly, but definitely plan to do some more versions for conventions. I've cosplayed him a couple of times.

5. List your collection of Naruto junk and merchandise, if any.

Oh boy... Magnets, bookmarks, wall scrolls, stickers, phone charms, key rings, figurines, headbands, cosplay, posters, some of the manga, some of the box sets and some of the movies.

6. Have you ever felt that you were destined to be with a Naruto character? If so, who?

I haven't really thought about it that way honestly, I mean being with someone who had a personality similar to Naruto's could be pretty awesome. There would never be a boring day haha. But I still don't really think of any of the characters in that way really.

7. NaruHina or KibaHina?

KibaHina. The cuteness!

8. SasuSaku or SasuNaru?

SasuNaru. Being perfectly honest, I cannot understand SasuSaku. I can't call what they could ever possibly have a loving relationship.

9. Which team is your favorite?

Team 7. I loved watching how dysfunctional they were and how they had improvements over time. I think the fact that they weren't a perfect team and that they had their problems just makes the whole thing more believable.

10. Do you support the Tobi=Obito theory?

Yes.

11. Do you support the 'Yondaime is Naruto's father' theory?

Yes. How can I not?

12. Your favorite Akatsuki member?

Oooh God, probably Itachi and Deidara. But, I do love Tobi's childish side.

13. Are you Pro-Sasuke or Anti-Sasuke?

Pro-Sasuke. I like that he goes bat-shit crazy, and broods, and angsts and makes mistakes that can change the course of his life. He's one of my favorite characters because he can be so dark and has had such a twisted past.

14. Have you seen all Naruto episodes so far (including Shippuden and fillers)?

At this moment, yes. I love keeping up to date!

15. Have you read all the chapters so far?

Heck yes. I read the manga religiously. And OH. MY. GOD. It has gotten so intense! My feels! *explodes*

16. Do you believe Naruto has ADD?

No way. So, he's got a crapload of energy and had some trouble focusing, doesn't mean he as ADD. I wish I had that much energy... especially getting out of bed in the mornings.

17. Sub or dub?

Sub. I love the Japanese voices so much.

18. Pro-Sakura or Anti-Sakura?

Had you asked me pre-timeskip I would have straight up said anti, but that's changed. I am Pro-Sakura, she has grown up to be a pretty kick-ass and amazing medic-nin. But, there are still moments, even in Shippuden, where I feel like screaming at her. Then again, that can happen with a few of the characters really.

19. Tobi = Annoying or funny?

When he acting like a goofball when he was first introduced, I really enjoyed his little humourous moments :P

20. Do you even know who Tobi is?

Yep. So...that was a bit of a bombshell.

21. Gai = Sexy beast or Ugly nerd?

Sexy beast, duh! Ahaha I really do think he is a beast, I mean he is an awesome ninja! But...I dunno if I could really call him sexy. Maybe the Beast of Springtime and Youth!!!

22. Which character would be the best crossdresser?

...Sai.

That cropped shirt...damn, I really think he could do it.

23. Rock Lee = Weird or Awesome?

Awesome. I think he'd be such a cool friend!

24. Which character would be best OOC? Who and how?

I do enjoy Minato in a story being silly, doting on Naruto and mucking around with his son. I like to think he'd have been a very close, loving father who would have made 'dad' jokes all the time had he had the chance to spend time with Naruto.

25. Do you like Naruto fanfics?

Oh God yes. I spend so much time reading them.

Yes, I love a well written lemon ;)

Some of them, not all. They do hear me chat about them to friends or my sister, or occasionally see an episode if I am watching it on the TV or something like that.

My gosh yes. I cannot stop laughing when I watch them.

These things are the greatest. Thank God for Youtube.

Yes, and I am so glad, because now I have someone to discuss it all with.

34.Has Naruto affected your school life and grades?

I guess it kind of has. I stopped getting into animes for awhile and then when I first saw Naruto, it just pulled me back in to it all. To the point that I fell so in love with anime and manga that I managed to become a co-captain of the Anime Club at my old highschool, which was such an awesome experience. I guess I also spend a lot of time watching the anime, reading the manga and fanfics as well as thinking about my own fanfics, so yeah that could potentially affect my grades.

35. Are you broke thanks to Naruto?
Hahahaha I am broke due to a lot of things. Such is the life of a Uni student :') But, yes, I suppose I have spent a fair bit of money where Naruto is concerned.

35. Do you want to read Icha Icha Paradise?

I want to meet someone who genuinely doesn't! I want to see what it's got in there for Kakashi to be so into it.

36. Do you support the 'Yondaime is the Akatsuki Leader' theory?

Wow. No.

37. Do you draw Naruto fanart? If so, count how many there are in your gallery.

I draw some fan art, generally I keep it to myself, but I have drawn a few as gifts on request of friends and things like that.

38. Is Sasuke still sexy in his second stage of the cursed seal?

I wouldn't use the word sexy for it. I'd say...cool?

39. Do you have a Naruto OC?

Nope.

40. Looking back at some of your answers, do you think Naruto has taken over your life?

Yes. Yes. And again, yes. And I think things like morals I learn from the story or characters has really improved my life. It means so much to me.
