![]() Welcome, welcome, one and all, to my profile page! I am a thirteen year old Colombian and Portuguese girl named Marchie. I have a deep passion for writing and am totally in love with this website. I love to create stories for some of my favorite movies and television shows (see list below). I try to steer away from writing about my favorite books (see list below) because I don't want to screw up a fantasticly written novel. Fantastic Movies: The 'Burbs: Tom Hanks is without a doubt my favorite actor. And I love when he does more comedic roles. The 'Burbs is about a suburban neighborhood where everything is perfect. Tom Hank's charactor, Ray Peterson, and his family live next door to the new neighbors, who are a bit creepy. Ray soon starts growing suspicous of the Klopeks' and he and his friend Art, along with Lt. Mark Rumsfield, start spying on them. Many encounters prove that the Klopeks may not be that bad, but the three are determined to find out just what's wrong with them. Let's just say it's a bit of a twist. And I love twists. Monty Python and the Holy Grail: This is just an epic movie. Watch it. The Incredibles: The idea of a superhero family may not be anything new, but this is my favorite Pixar movie ever, and I mean it! The principal story line is fantastic: the dad, who was the world's greatest superhero, has to hang up his tights. As well as every other superhero. Still wanting to save some lives, he takes a job from a mysterious woman, who's boss has alterior motives for the superhero. Does that not scream GREAT MOVIE to anyone else? Night at the Museum: History is my favorite subject. I visit the the American Museum of Natural History, like, once a month. Larry Daley is just a normal guy until he takes a job at said museum as a night watchmen. On his first night, he learns that everything in the museum comes to life, but only at night, thanks to this special tablet. Larry has to figure out just what to do without getting fired. All the while, someone's out to steal priceless museum artifacts. The Lost Boys: One of the best vampire movies ever! Two brothers and their mom move to a surf town in California (I'm not actually sure, but I think it's in California) where there have been strange disappearences. Michael, the older brother, meets a beautiful girl, Star at the boardwalk. The next time he sees her, he meets her boyfriend and his gang. At the same time, his younger brother Sam meets the Frog Brothers, who work at a comic book shop and are vampire hunters. Michael then drinks blood with David and the gang, not knowing it is blood, and becomes a 'half vampire,' if you will. He becomes a full vampire when he feeds on a human. (Plus, Corey Feldman, who plays Edgar Frog, is in The 'Burbs) Fantastic Books: The Mysterious Benedict Society by Trenton Lee Stewart: When a peculiar ad appears in the newspaper, dozens of children enroll to take a series of mysterious, mind-bending tests. But in the end just four very special children will succeed. Their challenge: to go on a secret mission that only the most intelligent and resourceful children could complete. To accomplish it they will have to go undercover at the Learning Institute for the Very Enlightened, where the only rule is that there are no rules. As the four kids, Reynie, Kate, Constance, and Sticky, face physical and mental trials beyond their wildest imaginations, they have no choice but to turn to each other for support. The Warrior Heir by Cinda Williams Chima: Before he knew about the Roses, 16-year-old Jack lived an unremarkable life in the small Ohio town of Trinity. Only the medicine he has to take daily and the thick scar above his heart set him apart from the other high-schoolers. Then one day Jack skips his medicine. Suddenly, he is stronger, fiercer, and more confident than ever before. And it feels great until he loses control of his own strength and nearly kills another player during soccer team tryouts. Soon, Jack learns the startling truth about himself: He is Weirlind; part of an underground society of magical people who live among us. At the head of this magical society sit the feuding houses of the Red Rose and the White Rose, whose power is determined by playing The Game a magical tournament in which each house sponsors a warrior to fight to the death. The winning house rules the Weir. As if his bizarre magical heritage isn t enough, Jack finds out that he s not just another member of Weirlind he s one of the last of the warriors at a time when both houses are scouting for a player. Jack s performance on the soccer field has alerted the entire magical community to the fact that he s in Trinity. And until one of the houses is declared Jack s official sponsor, they ll stop at nothing to get Jack to fight for them. City of Bones by Cassandra Clare: When fifteen-year-old Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York City, she hardly expects to witness a murder—much less a murder committed by three teenagers covered with strange tattoos and brandishing bizarre weapons. Then the body disappears into thin air. It’s hard to call the police when the murderers are invisible to everyone else and when there is nothing—not even a smear of blood—to show that a boy has died. Or was he a boy? This is Clary’s first meeting with the Shadowhunters, warriors dedicated to ridding the earth of demons. It’s also her first encounter with Jace, a Shadowhunter who looks a little like an angel and acts a lot like a jerk. Within twenty-four hours Clary is pulled into Jace’s world with a vengeance, when her mother disappears and Clary herself is attacked by a demon. But why would demons be interested in ordinary mundanes like Clary and her mother? And how did Clary suddenly get the Sight? The Shadowhunters would like to know. . . . And that's about it!
