Katherine Shakespeare, raised with Vernal, Utah, graduated in 2002 from Uintah High school. A Presidential Scholar, she entered Utah Condition University that autumn for an English major, with an emphasis in Literary Reports. It took her 12 months to stumble serendipitously into Dr. Mark Damen's Latina 1010 course and with 2005 she changed her major to Interdisciplinary Experiments, in order to combine her study of reading with Latin, Greek, and classical history. While an Aggie, Katherine supplemented her four-year term as being the Honors Program's chief student advisor with are an America Reads tutor at Adams Elementary, an Honors Fellow for HONR 2000 Students Forum, a Rhetoric Link, and an Undergraduate Teaching Fellow for any History Department. Katherine launched her lastly and final year at USU using a summer abroad, studying with Freiburg, Germany, and traveling around high of western Europe. After the girl graduates in May 2007, Katherine plans to advance to Baltimore, Maryland, where she will teach public school being a Teach For America corps new member.
