![]() Author has written 4 stories for Final Fantasy: Tactics, Doctor Who, Fire Emblem, and Mass Effect. Heya, I'm AquiIae (with an I). I enjoy writing and playing video games, mostly RPGs. I love games which have great stories and well-fleshed out characters, my personal favorites being Dragon Age: Origins and the Mass Effect trilogy. However, I always get the feeling that the plot could have been done better in some way, imagining how the plot would turn out if certain things were different. It's really fulfilling to see alternative plotlines take shape, and it's fun imagining what could have happened in the game. My current fic is on Final Fantasy Tactics. I always questioned the events of FFT while I was playing it, whether it made sense for gigantic demon monsters to show up randomly in a plot that was supposed to revolve around politics and class conflict. Delita was my favourite character in the game, as he was really well-fleshed out. His story is very tragic, and it's hard not to feel sympathy for him, even though he is made out to be one of the main antagonists of the game. Ramza, the main character of the game, didn't leave as strong an impression on me as Delita. I always thought Delita was misrepresented, maligned by his detractors. I decided to write a fic about it, under the assumption that the original narrator of the tale was wrong; that monsters only existed in the figurative sense, that Delita was not as big of a bad guy as he was portrayed originally. Well, that probably sums up why I like writing fics, so that I can write about my interpretation of the events and possibly make a better plotline (well, I hope it does, at least xD). On a random sidenote I do have a couple of ideas about alternative endings for Mass Effect 3 and alternative motivations for the Reapers, but that'll probably have to wait until I'm done with my FFT fic. I probably need to get the science correct on that one too, I guess. =P So yeah, hope you enjoy reading my stories, and leave a review or two to show your support and help me improve my writing skills. |
